Michelle is amazing. She made sure to understand my needs and find the right unit for me, she explained the contract in a way that was easy to understand and took the time to go through all of my questions. She runs a tight ship and was very clear about in's/out's and hours of operations, it was clear that to me that her client's safety is a top priority for her. Before helping me with my unit she was helping some lady that was being super rude and causing a scene because she owed money that she didn't want to pay and I was surprised at how Michelle kept her cool and was able to calm the lady down and negotiate with her -eventually the lady agreed to pay. Moved all my stuff out due to rat infestation. Rats chewed my daughters new mattress. They got into the box of her bed sheets/drapes and left droppings everywhere. Now I have to throw all these lightly used items away and I'm not getting reimbursed for any of it. On top of that there was no rat poison in our unit that we could see. I just think it's not right we are losing all our items due to this rat problem we thought our items were safe here but we sure were wrong. HIGHLY ADVISE DO NOT GET A STORAGE HERE UNLESS YOU DONT CARE ABOUT RATS IN YOUR BELONGINGS. Our items were stored in 506I so if you're out neighboring storage units your stuff 1000% has rats as well since beams are exposed and they travel on them. Not only that they nearly doubled the price we were paying in 3 months we started in January this year paying about $130 and this month they raised it $100 to about $240 *** We are being refunded the days we won't be using in the month *** read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Jose the assistant manager and Michelle the so called manager at this place lives in the back and are extremely rude and speak to you like you're incompetent. The way they speak to customers really needs to be addressed. Don't go to this storage, you will be disrespected after you buy a storage at some point, so wait to leave an honest review if you do decide to waste your time and money here and see how they treat you first, because they will buttee you up in the beginning and ask. I feel it may be a power trip thing with the both of them, but either way there are professional ways to go about communicating with customers. It's not what they say, it's HOW it's said, alot of attitude and head bobbing movements from them. I'm already moving to another storage because of it and also feel uncomfortable as a paying customer to even come by for my things at times. If anything this place should hire new employees with proper management training who aren't trying to escalate anything or make customers feel uncomfortable. We all have jobs to do, there's just better ways to go about doing them and this place will demean you. I take back the first review you guys asked me to leave for you when I was barely buying my storage not knowing what my family and I were about to experience. read more

I signed up for storage space at this location about 5 months ago. I posted a positive review when I signed up--on Google Review. Unfortunately, on May 8, I found out my storage space was burglarized. I was moving to San Diego the next day--May 9--and I found out about the burglary​ when I stopped by my space on May 8 to take a few things to take with me to San Diego for the time being. I didn't get around to post any review about what happened until now, as it has been hectic for me relocating to a new city and starting a new job. It's given that robbery can happen at storage facilities, and that is why you buy insurance. What I was highly concerned and angry about had to do with the fact that the building where my storage space is located in DID NOT have cameras installed inside the hallways. Another and yet more severe problem was when I got the space; I was explicitly told that cameras are installed all around the building outside AND INSIDE. Because the building is located all the way at the end of the facility, which is adjacent to the residential area, I could see how it may be easy to jump off the wall from the roof of a house and get into the facility. On May 8, I insisted on getting a new space right then, as I still needed to leave most of my stuff up there in Los Angeles, which they did accommodate. I had to hire a guy to help move my things to a new space that day, as I was leaving for San Diego the next day. I had to file a police report right then to process a burglary claim through the insurance company. When the policeman came, the first thing he said to the agent at the office was: "Another one?" It turned out they had 3 burglaries in the same building where my space is located in over the last month or so. The circular lock they made me purchase at the sign-up was basically cut and broken by the robbers, and that's how they got to my space to steal things. I forgot the name of the girl/agent who worked that day, but she was friendly and helpful. But I do think there was substantial negligence on their part about not having cameras inside of the building and they were not honest about it previously. I also found out that my monthly payment went up as my promotional deal expired. As I was quite emotional and angry about the whole situation, I refused to pay a higher monthly fee, which they did accommodate and kept my original price. It has been a month, and I still haven't heard back from the insurance company on how much compensation I am getting back. We shall see. Even though the agent at the office was accommodating, I do have to give them one star due to the negligence and dishonesty about renting out spaces that are not safe, which is quite a substantial issue. read more

I had a storage unit a bit over two years ago. I began a project that required packing tape and I still had about an 1/8 left that I had originally purchased over two years ago. It was still in great condition. I needed more so I went to Extra Space to purchase more. Jennifer was extremely helpful actually showing me how to open the dispenser to refill it. Terrible storage facility and rude staff. The only thing good about this place is it is month to month on the rent. The woman who works the front desk needs to change her attitude. She stereotyped me because of my appearance... I have a shaved head and tattoos. She confronted me in an aggressive manner on my first visit and said that I needed to tell her my name and storage unit number every time I go to my unit. And, that it was because it is private property. I called customer service and nothing happened. Terrible company and customer service. read more

Bad experience they raise their rent every year and to top it off I moved out of there and I find that rats had got to my stuff there was roachegoing from unit to unit u pay for insurance on ur stuff let's see if they do anything about it. I had to pay to get my stuff out and find this crap. I do not recommend this place had other friends with bad experiences. Here is some photos I couldn't even take my couch or mattresses out there was no way I would bring that home. I'm very upset and sick to my stomach. I recommend going some place else. Had an appointment for 5-5:15p . Arrived at 5:10 with no one around. Called the number listed on the door and no one answered. After waiting outside for about 10 min someone walks up with a group of people and tells me theres a line so I'll just have to wait. I figured they were here so ok. Once they were done around 5:50p, i was told there was still someone ahead of me and they close at 6p. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Thieves Not happy at all with my final experience at this location. I made my final payment and notified the "manager" Graciela Rios of the specific date I will no longer be needing the facility. On that final date I was told that I will not be able to be reimbursed for the over payment I made to this location. I was clear and notified who I thought was the right person but there appears to be a lack of knowledge that she still may need training on since she did not offer my options to me OR notify my that if I over paid I have to suck it up and take the loss even though the unit is no longer in use, Again, I made the date clear on my visit I did everything I was supposed to do as a customer so I don't feel I should be penalized. They will take your money and not care about you so use this facility at your own risk! read more

If you want your items damaged or ruined by rats, store it here! Remember their insurance does cover rat damage even if you've told them about the issue. They can't even say sorry. It's a take or leave it. The manager before was so much nicer. I'm moving all my storages to Dollar storage, they'll miss the business since I have 4 storages with Extra Space, 2 here and 2 at another location. read more
