Clean facility and my stuff stayed intact throughout the experience. My only negative feedback is the sudden increase in prices after a few months of having the storage. It's misleading to customers especially if you're out of the country. read more

This place is good, until you get your things in the actual unit. My girlfriend and I were really happy with how we were treated by the staff on site. We had booked our unit online, and that all went smoothly. We also like the convenient location. Unfortunately, two months after renting the unit and filling it, we got a notice that they would be raising our monthly rate by $80. That's over 60% from what we had been paying. The "reasoning" was that their operating costs have gone up. For a facility with no gates, not much fencing, and minimal electricity being used, it's hard to see a 60% price increase being warranted. If possible find a storage facility that will lock in their price. Sadly, this seems to happen at many storage facilities. read more

I tried accessing my storage unit on a Sunday to remove my items with the help of my family and friends but could not get in. This is a place that claims customers have "24-hour access available for when you need to get into your unit after regular hours." I had to call customer service three times before I could get a hold of anyone. It turned out they put an overlock on my unit which should not have happened. They told me they couldn't do much over the phone and to return the next day. This was such an inconvenience to my family and friends who took time off to help me remove my items. They also said I would need to pay for the unit before they can have someone remove the overlock which was pretty unfair considering my payment wasn't due for at least another 15 days. When I returned the next day no one was in the office during business hours! Office was locked and lights were off. If someone was going to leave the office, a notice on the door to their customers would have been kind. I thought this was unprofessional. It shouldn't have been this difficult getting a live representative over the phone or speak to someone in person. read more

This is truly the worst storage facility I've ever used. I currently have a 10x15 unit and pay $425 a month. They draw you in at a promotional price of more than half that but fail to tell you that your rent is subject to increase at any time and by any amount they deem they can get away with. Not to mention the difficulty I had moving in. The I was told to pick up my keys they weren't there and there was no one in the office at the time to help me so I had to wait with my movers for over 30 minutes to arrive. When we finally got the unit open, it smelled awful and there were mice feces everywhere. The women working there just brushed it off. Even my movers felt bad and found a broom and swept it out for me themselves. As I was a desperate single mom at the time without another solution I stayed. My $200 unit I started with went to $390 after only 3 months. A few months later they wanted to increase it again but after spending hours proving my reputation as a good tenant, they reluctantly let me continue paying $390 a month. This lasted for all of a few months before it increased again and this time there is absolutely nothing they will do for me. Their solution was to move into a smaller unit. I even chatted with someone online to see what they would do if I was a new customer and I was quoted $209. When I explained over the phone the woman tried telling me that a new customer would pay more than what I pay now and, remember, I pay $425 now. You mean tell me a 10x15 unit would cost more than that for a new customer? Comical. I have screenshots of the conversation I had with there online chat that says otherwise. This place is full of liars and cheaters. If you have not signed on with them yet, I would RUN if I were you! read more

my experience as a long time renter over 3 years was horrible. it started out at a competitive price then made two to three huge price hikes! the staff there is great and even told me how much more that I was paying than everyone else and tried to email and get the price back to normal. that did not work. they take advantage of long time customers knowing it's not easy to move. the ceiling insulation was also falling down all over all my things and there was mouse or rat scat everywhere leaving a big portion of my things useless and trashed. complained several times and again nothing. I got a new storage unit somewhere else for much less than half the price with a climate controlled unit. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! read more

I didn't use your storage and you are charging me for not using your storage and I don't think it is fair. I don't understand what you meant by two weeks is considered owner ship when I live in Arizona and you are in Worcester. I did not store any items in your storage. First it has to be the dirtiest sight I've ever seen renting . Their rates go up every 4 or 5 months a lot ​ $60 / $80 at a time so ridiculous to raise somebody's rent 60 bucks to store things in a closet . The place is robbed seems like every two to three weeks somebody breaks into a unit and steals things the company doesn't seem to care . Most of their employees that work there are very unhappy always depressed the company treats him like crap is all they ever say . Half the lights don't work the gate hasn't worked in 6 or 7 months a lot of the outside lights don't work . You're always in the dark they fix them they last a day and they think that's okay your items are not secure they're the insurance company for some reason they don't pay read more

My daughter and her family just moved here from the west coast and needed a storage unit for their furniture until they find a house. We looked online and visited many websites and chose Extra Space on Millbury St. in Worcester based on client reviews. We booked it on-line and she went to the facility to sign a contract. As she drove up to the facility, she could see red garage doors in excellent condition just like on the website. She signed the contract, got the key and went to the unit. She opens it to find the inside covered in mold, the ceiling falling down, and insulation had fallen on the ground. She closed it up and came home horrified. She called the main offices and told them all of this. She was offered the same size unit in the Northborough MA location. I have no idea how someone has the audacity to rent a unit in this condition. Corporate was notified and pictures were sent so this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

This place was great, we rented a storage Unit for the summer to store our son's college gear, and since I was calling from the West coast, and not able to do anything live with him, their service was important. The Unit was so clean and safe, and when we moved out, the process was so simple. Their hours are perfect for early and late access. We have definitely found our place for his gear for the summer months. We will be going back for sure. read more

The staff at the Millbury location were very flexible with me extending my reservation. The facility is very well constructed. I have also spoken with the main office a few times for various things and their customer service is outstanding. Another benefit for us using Extra space storage during our move is that we can get to our stuff, if we used a pod or moving company this option would not be offered. It is nice to have staff on site as well. read more

Very impressed with the Worcester team and specifically the manager, who was willing to go out in the pouring rain to show me some possible units and help me decide on which one to rent!
