I placed an order with them for $61.93, to be delivered today, Oct. 28, 2025, between 9am and 10am. I get a text message at 10:13am telling me the delivery person cannot access my building and that they have to get to work, but that they've delivered the order. I'm wondering how they can deliver the order without accessing the building. Come to find out that the delivery person left my order outside of my building on the ground. When I reached the lobby, there were no packages outside. They'd been stolen. I call Smart&Final and leave a message, because there's no live person to talk to. Then I began a 'Chat' session, which concluded with them telling me they're going to check with the delivery department and get back to me via email. What company in their right mind hires delivery people that leave packages outside of a building on the ground?! These are dishonest, unethical, and unscrupulous business practices. To make matters worse, Smart&Final is big enough to afford a live person to talk to if you encounter a problem. It's a rinky-dink business model at best.
