I've only been a couple times, but the owner, David, is great, and gives everyone a bit of personalized attention.

My "home" fitness studio is at TruFusion so it's great to switch things up a bit. I attended the full body conditioning on Monday evening and my instructor was Dorian. I introduced myself and told her it was my first class. She was very welcoming and gave a general explanation what I would be expecting with class. You start off with a light warm up and then she explained the different stations. You're either doing jump ropes, split squats, burpees etc. Our "break" was to take a run out in the back lot. Now THAT was challenging for me because I do not run nor do I enjoy running lol. The class was 45 minutes and that was perfect. There are plenty of different classes throughout the day so it's convenient to fit anyone's schedule.

I am so excited for my journey & the strength I'll gain, and the friends I'll make!

Sure it is the new year and I am not one to make resolutions. But, the sirens of my couch have…read morekept me hostage for too many years and my core strength and cardio have whittled away and has been replaced by an oversized girth at the mid-section. A long-time friend when we both met doing triathlons recommended The Gym and I had met Rob several years ago at his old location. Super personable guy and professional. You can tell Rob has good business acumen, he is not just your stereotypical gym rat. I have been a member of LVAC for many years but I prepay for the year and I might go only during the blue moon. Great gym for the money but not my scene. My enlightened conscious knew I need to get moving and my friend recommended I look into their group training sessions. Not in denial, I knew my fitness level was on par with a pet rock but I met with Rob and he reassured me the Body Burn group classes are strictly at your own pace. Tonight I had my first class with Lindsay and I am so grateful for her gentle but encouraging tutelage. I was the only person and so the hands-on beginner class was perfect. I know enough how body form is critical in creating new habits and Lindsay has a well-trained eye (but, not a critical eye) to ensure I was not doing anything that would damage my body. She also intuitively made some workout adjustments allowing me to still achieve the results but without the flexibility. All I can say is that for someone old and slow like me or for the super-studly, Rob has put together a beautiful gym with friendly people. Guess what? No one is wearing perfume here and trying to get the Friday night hookup either. I highly recommend The Gym and so stoked to be waving to those sirens of the couch. Try one of Lindsay's classes as well.

I Love love loveeee OTF! Started last Oct and it's nearly been a year!…read more I love coach Mel, Taylor and Susannah. They were all very pushy but they're all for the best! They challenged me to push and check my forms if needed. The classes are small and you have the option to start on a treadmill or a rower for the 2G class. For 3G class you can also start on the floor with different weights options. Their first class is free, coaches will help you to get comfortable with the format. Make sure you arrive early. I'm a regular now, coming 3x a week. This is my regular go-to now! Thank you to all the coaches!!!

The first thing I ask my coworkers when I am in office is, "where are we going for lunch?" That said, I am also at an age where I need to be more mindful of my health and weight...and let's just say my metabolism is not the same as it was. When I noticed that I was gaining weight and the normal exercise videos weren't cutting it anymore, I looked toward a gym membership that provided a coach that would tell me what to do and I could see the coach daily. Orangetheory was the solution. I LOVE Orangetheory Fitness. They have group workouts daily, led by a trained/certified coaches with workout templates that incorporate the treadmill, rowing, and weights. It's a whole body workout for 60 minutes. What appealed to me was that it was a live coach (vs video) that told me what to do (so I don't have to look up workout routines or exercises to do) and the workouts are never the same. I go every day and the workouts are different every day. While I love the format, what I love the most is the community and energy of the people. From the members to the front desk staff to the coaches, everyone is so supportive and positive. If you were ever looking for a hype person, join Orangetheory. You'll find your hype squad. I just moved to Las Vegas and was worried that the vibe at my new home studio wouldn't be the same as my old one...but OTF Mountains Edge easily matched the energy. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and like I belonged. The coaches are awesome...I don't know how they do it, but they find time to give one on one coaching during the workout. Once they know you, they'll know when and how to push you to get you to the next level. If you're like me and don't have a lot of time to workout or figure out workout plans but are able to commit one hour to exercise...highly recommend Orangetheory Fitness and if you're in the Vegas area...Mountains Edge is the place to go.

My experience in this gym was less than ideal even though I've been a loyal patron for so long…read more I returned to this gym since I live close to it at that time. I was informed after a month or so that there's an issue with my billing and that this gym is only getting half of my membership fee. I've asked the GM if my fee will remain the same and I was assured that it will. Fast forward to 9 months after. I noticed that I was getting billed twice; One for this gym's fee (original full membership) and another for half the price. After digging through my statements and multiple calls with corporate billing, my account payments prior to the switch was going to two different gyms and that the system never updated to route all payments to the latest frequently visited gym. AF has this system in place to do so. I know this because I've received a notice of this change at other AF gyms before they move my account. That is the concept having a global AF network of gyms and having one fob as it is used for tracking your activity everywhere you go. I've asked this gym about the issue and I was told to call their corporate billing to verify if I'm going to get my money back for the 9mo worth of extra payments. I was told by this gym that AF establishments are independent franchises and that the issue isn't theirs and I should contact the other gym. The other gym/their corporate billing is also saying the same thing that the issue isn't theirs and I should contact the gym that switched my account originally. Mind you as a customer, this has been going on for 1-2 months of back and forth chasing both gyms down for answers. Even to a point of physically going to the gym and asking each GM/owner to coordinate with each other for a resolution. I, having to leave work early just to reach the GM/employee during their work hours. In the end, I never got my money back and have since cancelled my AF membership after 10+ years. I didn't even lose thousands of dollars. They could've just compensated me and marked it as an expense on their end or even suggesting a 9mo free or even discounted membership to compensate for the headache.
