Rented two jet skis over the 4th - both had to be fully decontaminated as they had recently been to Powell. ER representative said they'd have an inspection cable and would be ready to go - nope. Cost us an extra couple of hours. "Video" of inspection damage was a joke as they charged us $100 for damage to an impeller which only cut through water all week. Video didn't come close to imaging the "damaged" area. Additionally, we paid more than $600 in insurance which didn't cover this "minor" issue. 2nd time we've had a bad experience with this company. Rented a jet ski for the 4th of July weekend last year. Called the week of for a 3 day rental- not only did they have one for us to rent but allowed us to take it home the night before. Did a thorough inspection and upon return there was a scratch. They checked the inspection video and there was no extra charge as it was not my doing! The employees are helpful and courteous and quick to help load and unload and to be fair in most case things probably go smoothly for most customers. But as for my review of the owner Daniel I would say he is very subpar. A friend of mine and I rented 3 mountain Sled Ski Doo 850's for 3 days from these guys. About an hour into my ride on the first day I have a coolant leak. After tipping it on its side lucky us.... tunnel puncture on the sled I was riding. We are straight forward with extreme rentals and notify them of the problem. We then spend our weekend recovering this sled, take it to a local shop in the area and they make a fix "called Ski Doo Patch Kit" in their words. We laugh it off but seems to be working so we get a full days ride in on it but weekend is over need to return. Sleds get returned again we are upfront with them letting them know this one sled had a puncture in the tunnel on the bend. In hindsight should have just left the sled where it sat, paid the 2000.00 deductible and let Daniel deal with the headache of recovering that sled and getting it fixed. Now I have no problem with Daniel wanting to redo what the other shop did as a repair...that is his prerogative and his sled. But here is my problem.....this could have been most likely avoided if this sled had the proper tunnel protection that other sled manufacturers put on their sleds on the bend of the tunnel. This is ¼" aluminum plates on top of the 1/8" tunnel to protect sharp rocks that the 3.5" mountain sled lugs can grab and fling through the tunnel. This flaw could leave you stranded so for the 2022 Mountain Sled Ski-Doo 850 in my opinion is a don't buy or rent. Now the fun part it takes 6 weeks for Daniel to figure out what he is going to do and claims he is busy and hasn't had the time to get to it...I get it life and business can be busy. But finally he decides he is going to charge me $1480.00 for the repairs he had to do and the loss of the value of the sled and to his credit he probably got it done cheap as he could and was doing me a favor. He also gives me the sob story of how he is out the money on the lost time of the sled. (You are in-business Daniel and that is the risk). Here is the thing and I will leave it to you to judge but in my opinion this falls within a gray area that really wasn't necessarily my fault could have happened to anybody, if this sled had the ¼" protection plates that our Artic Cat Sled has I don't think this would have been a problem. So I bucked a little at Daniel wanting to charge me. He then threatens lawyers and debt collectors. I get it, he has lost money on the sled, lost time and man hours and income. And if I had wrecked the sled, rolled it down, the hill, crashed into a tree I would have totally accepted his charge and claims. Now being in business myself, products sometime fail and it costs money, time and lost income. But I have never charged people for things that fall into gray areas, because it probably wasn't their fault but could have been and I just take the hit....It's the risk we take as business owners. I told Daniel "You do what you are going to do and after I will do what I will". Daniel this is what I had in mind. In the long run this might cost you more. Daniel if you want to want to work something out you have my number, and I might remove this review. But I think people should be aware of you and your tactics. read more

So I had read the other reviews on yelp and actually was a little bit concerned but a friend of mine said he had been renting there for 10 years and that they were top notch. I called them to rent a high-performance snowmobile thinking it will be many years old as to rent it for one day was cheaper than renting it for four hours up in Winter Park. I show up and it's a brand-new 2017 M 8000 decked out powder sled. It was so powerful, when I ran across other people out on the trail they stopped to check it out because it is actually nicer than theirs were. All day riding steep hills and what not the sled performed amazingly. While loading it into the truck we tipped on its side and messed up some of the vinyl graphics, knocked some paint off of the tunnel, but a rip in the seat cover and heard the handle grip. I was so nervous that they were going to charge me an arm and a leg but the guy was actually super cool and said that they would just appreciate instead of changing the entire seat cover and he would try and fix the handle grip. He told me not to worry about the minor damage on the vinyl graphics. I will definitely rent from these guys again and refer my friends to do the same, looking forward to trying dirt biking this summer. read more

We rented a jet ski for a camping trip to Carter Lake. We drove out to Denver from Boulder to pick it up only to find out the people returning our ski were still in Utah. Ugh. What could have been a very bad way to start a camping trip was completely turned around by awesome management and some down home human customer service. The jet ski was delivered that afternoon to our campsite with no charge. They brought gas for us to purchase so we didn't have to go to marina. They threw in a ski rope and flag. Extreme Rentals is very professional - no hidden charges and a very easy to understand contract. They do a thorough inspection before a rental goes out and again when it's returned so you know you're not paying for damage you didn't cause. Overall it was a great rental experience and I would absolutely recommend it to others. read more

Extremely satisfied!!!! My friend and I rented two dirt bikes. Two Honda 150 cc. Their staff is professional and they help us loading the bikes and gave instruction for the day and how to get to the track. Extreme rental has a big variety of dirt bikes as well as quads, jet skis and snowmobiles. They are extremely nice and helpful. They are located in Lakewood. Very easy to get there from Denver. My friend and I rented an ATV here and where surprized that they charged us a lot for a crack in a plastic skid plate. Seriously? Who in the world puts a plastic skid plate on an ATV rental if not for making money to replace it everytime? The service was good and their flexibility with returning the ATV was adequate but that was a real bummer. read more

Great Day out rented 4 atvs and when we get back from trails the guys pull the units in and pick them apart keep us there for more than a hour and then charges us for a scratch on the side of the unit we were not able to inspect them before we left .. so if you choose to use these people make sure you check the units for any scratches because they will charge your card after you are gone ... read more

We threw everything we could at these guys. Changed our reservation a couple of times, adding people who were excited to go ATVing. Eventually, we showed up with 9 guys, figured out a way to get 3 quads, 2 bikes and 2 side-by-sides onto the truck and trailer we rented we also rented from them and we were off to the trails they gave us the lead on. Every piece of equipment performed flawlessly and the trails were awesome. Flat out dirt road and rocky hill climbs to the tops of mountains. Beware! Finding your way through the trails can get complicated, remember where you're going! Also if you're with nuts like I was plan on there being damage. A couple of the guys got a little too comfortable and flipped their side-by-sides. If you want to go crazy they offer additional insurance. This is extreme rentals, not powder puff rentals, your running this equipment offroad. But they were reasonable with scratches and other normal tear, but the guys that ripped panels and bent roll bars had to pay to play hard. This is a reasonable shop, equipment was good, we were all happy and it made our trip! read more

Don't waste your time renting from the over priced rental shops in the hills. I rented two fabulous Arctic Cat sleds (M600 & M800) from Extreme Rentals - hassle free. We flew in from out of town, signed some paperwork, hooked up the trailer and off we went. Sleds were practically brand new and performed flawlessly. Gas cans, helmets, etc. - everything included. We did incur some sled damage during our trip. Extreme Rentals repair costs were more than fair. Great experience all around... These guys provide significantly better snowmobiles at a significantly reduced price. Would do business with these guys again, no questions asked. read more

Went to Extreme Rentals and had a horrible experience! We only wanted to rent for Friday, but the store was going to be closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for holiday. They required us to pay for 3 days of rental, even if we just wanted to rent for one day. I asked if we could get a reduction in price, because if the store was open we would have brought the equipment back the very next morning. The manager was extremely rude and obtuse. He did not even fain interest in accommodating a customer. There was no apology or explanation, only that if we wanted to rent from the store, we had to follow the stores rules. We reluctantly agreed. I then stepped outside of the office while the transaction was completed by my other friends, and found the manager discussing the situation with a fellow employee. He began bad mouthing me, but had no idea I was standing just around the corner. I spoke up, and the manager again was not apologetic. Instead he said "well I didn't know you were there, I was trying to do it behind your back". He approached me and was aggressive, confrontational, and completely unprofessional. I will never go back to this business and would gladly pay a little more elsewhere to avoid giving this man my money. read more

They tell you when you rent an off road ATV, that they aren't picky about dings and bings. LIARS! They will nit pick every thing when you return the rental. If they don't want dings and bings then don't rent it as an off road ATV. If you put down the $500. damage waiver, you can be sure they will find a way to keep most of it. Be sure to video your rental prior to leaving, and again when you return it. A small break in the plastic under the door will turn into multiple under carriage damage. read more

Would give this sham of a business 0 stars if I could! We rented a Sea-Do to take to Lake Powell for a camping trip with 8 people. We paid about $700 for the rental, took the damage waiver and went over everything with the shop guys. Towed the ski all the way out to Lake Powell (about 500 miles) drove it for about an hour and a half out to our campsite, only for it to break down immediately after we got to camp. We were here for 4 days and had no Sea-Do even though we paid for it. We called the next morning to tell them the symptoms, they told us to try wiggling the battery connections. We did this and tried every day to get it to start. It didn't help. So we returned the ski today and the a-hole of an owner argued with my buddy for 2 hours only to say hes not giving us a refund and instead offered us a $150 credit. Thank you very much but if you think that its okay to take $700 from someone and offer them $150 credit, do you really think they'll ever rent from you again? They should be shut down. Better Business Bureau will be getting a complaint as well. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. We called and 2 times in the am before heading to rent our snowmobiles for the day. We were renting a 2 person and a 1. After we paid they tell us they lost the key to that 2 person and we could have 2 one persons instead so we said that's fine. Then they proceed to tell us we have to pay for the other sled even though they lost the key. The owner then proceeded to physically threaten my boyfriend while telling us to get the f out. It was a horrible experience and I would not recommend anyone rent from them!! From the phone call experience to in person it was horrible! read more

If only I could give them no stars. I called Wednesday for reservations for two jet skis and was told to call back Thursday since I'm just doing a one-day rental. They wanted to have jet skis available for people who would rent for more days. So I called back Thursday and they did have two jet skis available for Sunday. They weren't open Sunday so we were coming in Saturday night to pickup and return Monday morning. Everything was reserved and set, ready to go for the weekend (which was for my little brothers birthday) but then got a call Saturday at 10:00am with them telling me "hi I have unfortunate news, the jet skis reserved for you are now unavailable. We sold them. But I can recommend you another place." Like what the f***?! are you serious?!? Being last minute and all. Not one place had jet skis available!!! My brother was so bummed! Like could they even do that?!?! What kind of service is that? Expecting me to be ok with it and to just find another place that would have it ready?! Unbelievable! read more

I just rented a Jet Ski for over a week and took it to Lake Powel. I am giving Extreme Rentals 5 full stars for my experience with this particular rental. They worked with me on my long rental period, drive time and return. The SeaDoo that I rented was new and ran perfect for the entire week. The price was reasonable and upfront with no hidden fees. The pickup was easy and the drop off even easier. The inspection at the drop off was thorough but not to extensive. Now the things you should know about. All rentals fees are upfront. What is stated on their website FAQs page is the damage deductible is upfront but it does not state that rental fees are also upfront. When I rent a car the fee charge is at the end of the rental. If you choose to accept the damage waiver fee, you still have to pay up to $500 and anything after that is covered by the wavier. This is not hidden and if you read the page it is clearly defined. I do believe $30 a day for damage is a little excessive considering that is what I pay for a $45,000 rental car. It is optional and you do not have to pay it but that is my opinion. If I rented a JetSki for one or two days I would pay for the wavier. For week rentals I believe the costs is to great and I would look into my own insurance company extended coverage. If I was going to rent another Jet Ski Extreme Rentals would be my first choice. Thanks Extreme Rental we had a great time on vacation. read more

WOW! This is the third year in a row we have rented jet skis from Extreme Rentals and there is nowhere else we would ever rent from! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and since we were traveling quite a way with the jet skis, they even called us the night before pick up to tell us they would be ready first thing in the AM so we could get on our way early! The pricing is considerably less when compared to the pricing at our destination rental shop. About a month ago we reserved 3 snowmobiles. Got our hotel reserved and thought great everything is set. We go a call yesterday from extreme rental that someone had rent 1/2 of there fleet of snowmobiles and that they weren't going to be back in time for our trip on presidents day weekend. So sorry we won't have any snowmobiles for you. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. And for extreme rental so much for my group of 20 renting 4 wheelers from you this summer. read more
