If anyone is thinking about taking a vehicle to Windsor Park Chevron in Newport News, VA for ANY…read moreauto work. Please don't. My car broke down in August they said that it was starter, So they replaced it. Six weeks later the car broke down again with the symptoms. Again we had them to tow it. This time they said that it was a fuse that had blown. Again we were charged. Two weeks later the car broke down again, this time they said it was a fuse again. They charged us for towing since they had just replaced a fuse two weeks ago. three days later the car broke down again. my husband changed the same fuses that they supposedly had changed the two previous times. one by one the fuses blew. so we had the car towed to another auto shop that was closer to the forth breakdown area. anyway we were not taking the car back to them anymore. it was clear that they had no idea of what was really wrong with the car. my husband and i both asked were they had gotten the starter from the mechanic said that he did not know. this statement clearly confirmed all of our doubts about this shop. any time a mechanic says that he does not know where he bought a starter from. but he did not that he had to return the old starter in order to get a coil charge. By the second time we clearly knew that it was not the starter, plus the car kept breaking down in the Newport news area. we figured that the car was under warranty since each time the car was doing the same thing. once the car was turned off, it would not start at random times. the lights, horn, door noises all still worked. which ruled out the battery. Bypass Auto in Saluda finally fixed our vehicle. They knew exactly what was wrong with the car after my husband had described what the car had been doing. especially after all the previous breakdowns. Windsor Park Chevron mechanics are not trained and are very incompetent when it comes to fixing vehicles. They will give you the runaround about where they purchase parts from. they would not answer the telephone when we called to talk to them. the fourth breakdown mind you that we had just picked up our vehicle three days before from Windsor Park Chevron. My husband spoke with the mechanic Mike and told him about this fourth breakdown. Mike asked if we needed to have the car towed back in. Yeah right, we had given them three chances to fix the car. and we had definitely given them enough money for the wrong diagnose, and frequent breakdowns. To have had the car towed from Saluda to Newport News would have probably been $250 or more. When we spoke with the owner Kim Young, he stated that we should have brought the car back to them for the fourth breakdown that by the process of elimination he knew that it was not the starter. Kim Young was quick to state that had they fixed the vehicle the fourth time, we would have still been charged. These people call themselves certified mechanics and auto shop repair manager. They would have still charged us for the starter relay switch, when they replaced a perfectly good starter. Because they diagnosed the vehicle wrong three times. MY WORDS FOR ANYONE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO WINDSOR PARK CHEVRON, I WOULD NOT GO BACK THERE TO PUMP UP MY TIRE. The mechanic is certifed alright. certified in not knowing what he is doing, and certified at ripping people off. I am sure that we were not the first ones that they have ripped off with a vehicle. think about what i have written. i contacted the BBB they could not do anything since I had taken the car to the other shop to get fixed. any time they have a sign across the shop that says we have our own parts. they lied from the time that they towed our car. we should have known better than to trust them, since we could barely understand a word that they said.

I brought our car to this place for a repair and specified the front left tire where I visually saw the bolt. It was done in the afternoon and my wife drove the car to run some errands. Later that evening I drove us to get some dinner and I heard that sound again. I inspected the tire and saw the bolt was still there. I was quite upset and called the station but the technicians were gone for the day. I asked them to please leave a message for the owner as I need to understand what happened. The next day, I spoke to the owner (Pete) and we determined that there must have been 2 separate punctures on 2 different tires. He suggested I bring in the car that morning so he could look at it. (Keep in mind, this was a Sunday morning where the shop is normally closed.) After arriving to the station, I pointed out the bolt in the front left tire and Pete handled the repair himself. We waited about 30 minute and it was done. And, given the misunderstanding on the initial tire repair, he did not charge me. I left very happy and feeling confident that my car was safe to drive several hours back home. Thanks Pete!

However, the main event for a one time only show goes to the former team known as The Washington Redskins. The name may have been changed, but the merchandise is still out there, but harder to find. Whenever I go out of town I stop at shops like this, see what they have, and almost always make a purchase, sometimes small, sometimes a big purchase. We were coming back from Nags Head where I bought 3 mods, and 2 tanks and woulda bought more. I mentioned the Freemax, then the gun metal in color. He had all but the gun metal, he mentioned they didn't make gun metal. Well, I been researching myself, and wanted to put it out that this is the one that interested me. He does have a nice shop, good inventory for my needs, pricing is about the same or a bit more $$ than similarity brick and mortar shops. With the location, it appears he's renting space in a convenience store and a customer may think pricing would be a bit less expensive. I guess last thing I should mention is I purchase a lot online, so I get a $$ ballpark from more than 20 online shops, and go from there. I am willing to spend more while talking with the right person. And attached are my examples. Hello there, I just wanted to provide a little clarification regarding brick & mortar vs e-commerce. If I walk into a store and see a tank for $39.95, and then I look at 20 e-commerce with 4 stars or more, and see the same tank average between all stores for $30 free shipping and return (meaning business will honor return and deal with frustration of vendor return or the business eats cost) I'm likely to take e-commerce UNLESS brick & mortar has outstanding customer service, teaches me a thing or two, and offers pricing that's fair for brick & mirror. If I feel I'm being overpriced to the point that I can get it from the manufacturer themselves cheaper, I'm going with e-commerce. Example is The official Smok websight. Those prices are outrageous already. I didn't want you thinking I was doing a comparison of e-commerce Vs brick & mortar. Does that clarify a bit?
