Is it worth the wait for $3.00/gallon premium gasoline? I was on E so I had no choice, but it's really chaotic here. People honking, cars coming from every which direction, and the steep incline doesn't help either. It's cramped, it's at a busy intersection, and it didn't prompt me for my Plenti card so didn't earn points there. Overall, okay experience. I wouldn't return unless I'm in a pinch. read more

Terrible experience and rude customer service. I rarely put up reviews unless the services are exceptional or extremely horrendous. In this case, it was horrendous. I was pumping in gas and throwing away trash items off the floor of my car and a person who appears to be the owner walks out and says that the trash can is not for trash. He clarifies and says it's not for personal trash and only for the trash from items bought from the convenience store. I explained that I did not know and most gas stations put trash cans at each pump for customers to throw their items away. I suggested that if that is his policy, since it seems to be an exception to the norm, he should put up a sign. He then responded by saying that the gas station is private property and he doesn't need to put a sign. He asked if I put a sign on my trash can at my house to make his point. I told him that my home does not provide services to the public so there is no need for that. He continued to say it was private property. I then said I was sorry and that I was not aware that the trash cans are solely for store-bought items and that I will be taking my business elsewhere. The prices aren't great anyway and with such terrible service priding itself over it's "private property" stance, I'd take your business elsewhere and support people who pride themselves for providing services to the public/community. read more

It's not every day you get excited about a trip to a gas station. It's one of those places that most people dread stopping. If you're like me, you forget that your car actually runs off of this stuff called "gas" until you have none. So, when I stopped at this location, I threw some gas in my car; they have those pumps where after you take the handle off of the black holder dealy- you actually pop the black holder thing up to start the pump (like in the olden days). 90 percent of those black holder dealy things are now screwed onto the gas pump. They punk me everytime.. "oh, you're trying to pull up my thing, you dumb #$%^&*. Think again!" That's what they say... yes, I'll make an appointment with the doc. So, I go into the convenience store portion of the station and that's where my journey really gets magical. "Hey there, do you have any electronic cigarettes" I say with angst in voice "Yeah we do, we have blus right over here- and we also have the NJoy's" the gas station attendant Andre kindly points out. Andre stands close to 6 foot three inches tall with a friendly face and a welcoming warm attitude. Even though the blus tend to last much longer, I opt for the NJoys cause of flavor preference. A young man who was chatting with Andre when I came in remarks the same exact thing I was thinking as I ask Andre for the "full menthol Njoy's." He took the words right out of my brain. Andre remarks, "but you gotta watch out for those, there are a lot of duds" I respond quickly "yes yes, I had to return one to 7-11 not more than a month ago because I took two puffs and it was done." Andre comes back " you're lucky you've only gotten one dud, I get them back all the time- you might want to try this one out before you leave the station." I'm so excited at the fact that Andre wants to make sure the product I get from his gas station is in working order. I purchase the NJoy while telling Andre that I have a theory on why a lot of them are broken, "Ya know, a while ago they had this program where you send in 7 used Njoy's and they would send you one new one in the mail, I think that they're using old batteries and that's why so many of them are failing" "Well, that would explain a lot" he says with surprise. At that point, he starts ringing up another customer but says an aside to me, a second time, before I leave: "Yo, you really might want to try that out before you leave though." I had actually just tried it out while he was busy with another customer, he didn't see. "It's working great, thank you so much" And that's how you provide amazing customer service in the most unexpected of situations. Thank you Andre! read more

Don't stop here. It's not safe. I've had a few experiences of my own with aggressive people asking for money here. Then today a guy smashes my wife's window to steal her purse. There are other gas stations nearby on Georgia Avenue by the Beltway.... go there instead. This place is bad. read more

Don't pay for a car wash here. Worthless. Just got a wash here and my car is still filthy.

So I would give this gas station "0" stars if I could. I stop to get gas and first you can't pay at the pump... you have to go inside. So I do. I pay the very impolite cashier gentleman and head out to pump my gas. As I put the pump into my car gas leaks out of the back onto my hand. So I go inside and ask if he has any water I could use to wash my hands. He says no. I look around and notice there is a SINK RIGHT BEHIND HIM! So I ask him if it's a working sink. He says it is but I can't use it (!?). I say, " I have gas all over my hand from your FAULTY pump and you won't let me wash it off in the sink!? He says no, "because the gas on my hand will make his sink smell like gas" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! I wouldn't go back there if my car lost ALL its wheels and ran out of gas right in front of his gas station!! read more

the older review is more accurate, if you need gas immediately you could stop here but every other gas station in silver spring is better. The attendents are foreigners who speak little to no english and what they do know is broken english... They can't do simple math, even with the register in front of them. They refused my ID because I "looked too young" for it to be legit, by the way I'm 30 years old, why would I lie about being old? also, figuring out how many years it's been since 1984 was too difficult of a task for them... Standard Exxon plus car wash. Good location, but customer service is non-existent and station is often dirty.

I have great respect for old folks, but this one at the counter is an exception - very rude. Seconding with the comment above, customer service is ZERO especially with the new management. After spending over $30 on gas, this man refuses to give me 4 quarters so I can put air. It happened twice, first I gave him benefit of doubt. But second time when I ask him why he refuses to give me change for air even though I bought gas from him, he says - "we don't operate the air machine". What a JERK. I'm never going back here again for anything.. I suggest a two minute drive on EW hwy and little south on Georgia ave where folks in Seven 11 are way friendlier, same gas, same air. read more

It's a pretty standard Exxon. The pro is that it is one of the cheapest gas stations I've found in the DMV area. The con is that they spent two months being unable to print receipts, and the employees just kind of shrugged it off. But then again, who goes to a gas station for customer service? read more

Did not have regular gas and provided no signage to indicate that regular gas was out.

Beware of Exxon gifts cards from this station. I received an Exxon gift card for $25 purchased here and went there to use it. Upon swiping it the pump said "Unable to read card, see attendant". I took it inside (along with the gift receipt) and told the guy behind the counter it wouldn't work at the pump. He said they don't work at the pump, even though on the back of the card it says it will. He also could not get it to work on the card reader. Upon which he gave it back to me and started serving people in line behind me, ignoring me. After the 4th person served I told him I was there to get gas like everyone else and to please help. He said he had no computers there to look up the card value (the unique account no. is on the back) and that I would have to go home, look up the account no. on the Exxon website, and bring him a printout to prove the card's value. There were 3 guys in there, a second guy who the receipt said sold the card (we think he did something wrong when selling it), and a third older guy sitting behind the counter fiddling with another machine and no one was interested in addressing this issue. One would think with having the highest gas prices in a 25 block radius they would want to give better service. I returned the card so the gifter's money could be refunded. read more
