I had been seeing Chelsea Bowman and the master facialist Ami Sheneman for years. Both left, and no one contacted me to let me know I wouldn't be seeing them for my next appointment. I only found out when I showed up and discovered I'd be seeing someone else. The new girl Kendall, bless her heart--she tried her best, but it just wasn't the same. On top of it when I asked the girls at the desk where Chelsea and Ami went, each time they looked scared and uncomfortable answering. For anyone wondering where Ami went: I found her! She's now at Pier to Point down the street at the other end of Voltaire. I've already been there and signed up for multiple memberships. I highly recommend you do the same. I go to get facials so that someone else can take care of me and use their expertise. Anyway, she first did extractions. I counted and she did four... only four. I thought is was strange for a spa that states that they specialize in acne, and I had said that I wanted help with oily skin. Then she put the enzyme mask on and left for about 20 minutes. After that, she returned and did an arm and shoulder massage. It was very relaxing However, I really didn't want to come for a massage, I came for a facial. All in all, I felt that the hour -long service did not include a lot of skin treatment. The place was cute and comfortable, the experience was relaxing, but I don't feel I got much in return for the $115 price tag. I was hoping for more of a skin care experience.
