Office staff is very nice Just be prepared to be there over 2 hours for your appointment if you are seeing the Dr. Other tests like sonograms etc go pretty quick in and out. Love the doctor but the office staff needs to get their act together. Last time I went to the office I was told that my appointment was canceled and they tried to get in touch with me? Mind you if you are a no show they charge you $50? But wait, my time is valuable too! I made a fuss and they squeezed me in with a new doctor that I really liked!! Then this morning my wife had the SAME STORY?? We came home from vacation for this appointment and we would have liked to stay longer! Again they squeeze her in with the same doctor I saw but I think we are done with this same old excuse. See the other reviews about how long people wait. They said they called both our numbers and left voicemail?? Odd because there were no missed calls or text messages or emails. WTF? Had a very Good experience with both the Doctors and Staff. I came as an Emergency appointment; I had to wait a little because i was a walk in but was treated very kindly by all the staff. Dr. Burstein saw me quickly, He spent a considerate amount of time with me trying to understand what my issues was. Once he gave me my diagnosis, he came up with a treatment plan that helped with my pain. He also contacted a specialist and got me an appointment with them asap. I also had a Great Experience with Dr. Koreen who treated me for Cataracts once my other issue was resolved. Both Dr. Burnstein and Dr. koreen were very understanding for my needs and concerns and addressed everything very well. read more

This office is a SCAM SCAM SCAM. I booked my kid's appointment for an eye exam for glasses 3 months ago. When I booked, I gave them my information along with insurance (both medical and 2 optical plans). Today was my kid's appointment and as I'm checking out, the associate tells me it's $25/ child for the medical portion of the exam which I was fine with since that's my Normal copay and then tells me $75/kid for their optical exam. I explained I pay for 2 optical plans (myself and my husband) and both include a free optical exam/yr. She then informed me that they don't do both medical and optical at the same time. I was never given any paperwork or notice about this policy prior, because had I been given that information, I would have went elsewhere. I also went there to get my kids new glasses but was told only at check out that their optometrist leaves at 5 so that wouldn't be possible. I would avoid this place at all costs. read more

My low rating is due to the length of the wait time in the waiting area then additional wait time once addmitted to the Drs office. Once seeing Dr Koreen she was very pleasent and patient. I went to the Monroe location. They have done the bare minimum to be safe for COVID-19. I couldn't believe that they had a college intern trailing the doctor so there were extra people crammed into a small space for my eye exam. They kept me waiting in the parking lot AND in the waiting room. No one offered me a copy of my prescription on the way out the door. Now that I am trying to order glasses & contacts for my new prescription, they won't share my prescription information with the eyeglass or contact company. They helpfully offered for me to come by and pick up the script. When I finally convinced them to email me a copy, it's not complete. It's impossible to reach anyone on the phone - never had a live person pick up. Once you get someone, they are rude and unhelpful. read more

The rudest staff. My elderly mother was treated so poorly by everyone in the office with the exception of Dr. Green. One technician yelled at her and taped her mask to her face! She should be fired. The man who runs the eyeglass section refused to help her because she wanted half glasses. The whole standard appointment took 2 and a half hours. The receptionist took 15 minutes to make an appointment for someone while four other people were waiting. They need to get it together. They aren't understaffed, just have lousy manners. read more

Hi, I have been a patient of this office for years and I just recently came back in to have my eyes rechecked. I highly disagree with the reviews that I've been reading about this office. They returned my call promptly, they are following all protocols due to covid in a timely manner which should be done for everyone's safety. If there is a longer wait time for our safety I would rather that then go into an overcrowded office, be around a lot of people and possibly get sick. I have been seen by almost all the doctors in this office and they are all very skilled, thorough and knowledgeable.They found out what was wrong with my eyes and why I was seeing floaters and flashing objects in my vision through testing, provided me with a new prescription, walked me and helped me pick out new glasses. Find a different eye doctor. The staff is completely inept. They are running an insurance scam by making the patients come back multiple times for what should be one visit. Plus, I waited 4 hours in the waiting room to be seen. My husband had his 2 exams to get new prescription glasses and contacts. They ordered the incorrect prescription for one eye and it took them 5 weeks to fix the problem. I am not going to go into too much detail but I did not have a pleasant experience with this office. Eye surgery was a fail. The healing process was horrendous. Had to go back and forth for more antibiotics for my eyes that kept getting infections.Vision went back as if I never had the surgery. After multiple visions complaining about blurred vision and pain I was told I need to have another surgery because the 1st did not completely get rid of all the cataract. Took two months to be told this...and I was going back and forth almost weekly. 2nd attempt to repair vision never happened because the appointment kept getting rescheduled by the office. When I finally got an appointment that stuck I get to the appointment and I am told that the doctor is an hour behind. I left and I will never return. So where do I begin? First I scheduled an appointment for a minor surgical procedure. At no time did anyone in the office ever say I needed to be examined by the doctor. I came in on a reccomendation from my optimologist. I reported at the appointment time only to be told my doctor was in Monroe and I should not have come in to their Goshen location (I made the appt for Goshen as I didn't even know they had other offices). Needless to say I drove to Monroe and they told me they don't do that procedure there. I called back and had to argue to get an appointment for today 8/3. I showed up at 8:05 for an 8:15 appointment with Dr. noname. As she came in late at approximately 8:45 she sat down and said she could not do the procedure because I've never been examined by them. At this time I said softly this is ridiculous, apparently this triggered Dr. noname to then go into a tirade about lawsuits and while raising her voice at me asked me what I do for a living. Not that it's any of her concern but I have 2 Master's Degrees and live rather comfortably. I responded to her that she is yelling at me like I'm a 5 year old and she responded back that I was being argumentative with her. At no time did I yell, instead I softened my voice as I don't yell at strangers. Her tirade concluded and I said to her I'm sorry but I don't feel comfortable with her being my doctor and working on my eye (she was visibly shaking from her anger), she then responded that she's not comfortable with me as her patient. My advice, don't go here. Unprofessional can't even begin to describe this facility or this doctor. read more

My 4 year old granddaughter had an appointment yesterday morning. We waited 45 minutes before we were seen. The technician came to get us and told us to "go that way" not directing us at all. My granddaughter was seated on her mother's lap trying to get an eye reading. This frustrated the tech and said "she's not cooperating " and lead us yet to another room again not leading but we had to guess where to go. She started to enter info I to the computer and apologized for being slow and it would take some time then proceeded to do exam and not trying to explain to a four year old what she would be doing then after about ten minutes stated "oh by the way I forgot to tell you my name". She was completely incompetent was unsure what to do next, could not adjust the machine to get an exam and continued to state that she's not cooperating" and left the room. A short while later Dr. Green entered introduced herself and stated "so what's the problem". My daughter asked her to shut the door for privacy sake which annoyed her. My daughter refused to allow eye drops to be placed in her eyes and the doctor said there is no way she would do the exam. She also stated loudly that my granddaughter has bigger problems than having eye drops put into her and will have to wear thick eyeglasses. She also stated that without eye drops we should go somewhere else. I asked her why she was being so hostile and her reply was yelling and saying she was not hostile. Awful experience, the doctor had no manners and this is so troubling because we were told they service pediatric eye care. Terrible experience for my granddaughter. I'm filing a formal complaint. Loss of eyesight is a serious matter and time is of the essence. I began losing the sight in my eye on the Friday of Labor Day weekend. I contacted this office in the early afternoon explaining the severity of my situation and requested an emergency appointment. I was given an appointment for the following Tuesday in a different office and was told that was the earliest they could see me. After about 1 hour my sight deteriorated further so I called back and demanded to be seen that Friday. I asked to please speak to the Doctor about my problem. They told me to come in at 3:15. I arrived at 3:00. I watched follow-ups and check-ups go before me for 3 HOURS!!!! That's right the doctor didn't see me until 6:00. At one point I went to the desk (after 2 hours of waiting) and explained that my vision was going very fast and I was very upset and afraid. They said "I don't know why they're so backed up back there", meaning the examining area. I asked, "is this how you treat an emergency?" To make a long story short by the time I was seen there was too much blood for the doctor to see what was causing it. He did not recommend an ultrasound or any other option. The office made me an appointment for ONE WEEK LATER with a retinal specialist. I ended up in the emergency room in Hackensack and was very quickly seen by a retinal specialist and by Labor Day I had to have a procedure to repair the tear that would have been seen on Friday if I hadn't been left waiting for 3 hours as the bleeding continued. Never again. Be your own advocate and don't give untrained underpaid staff the power of deciding whether you have a true emergency. Long wait!!! Then they put charges through to my medical insurance for "visual disturbances" that I had no complaints for. Stated I had complaints of "floaters" when I did not. Ended up costing me $70 when I have full eye coverage if they had just done a routine eye exam. Then they pulled the same scam with my kids. $210 out of my pocket for nothing more than a regular eye exam. Then the eye glass portion...Was told they don't accept my insurance for eyeglasses and left to take my business elsewhere, only to find out they put a hold on the insurance for the glasses and couldn't get the glasses without calling the insurance company. What a hassle. Will NEVER return to this place. What shady business practices. They are supposed to be taking care of people not stealing their hard earned money and while raising our insurance costs with fake diagnosis. Stay away from these scheisters. read more

I had a 1:45 appointment (my original appointment was for 9am 3 months ago, but the office called and rescheduled me TWICE, and I ended up with an afternoon appointment which I did not want), I sign in at 1:25 and sat down because the girl behind the desk was on the phone. After she hung up, I went over to her and said I'm not sure I need to check in with you because I already signed in and her reply was 'have you been here before' which I said yes to. She told me I was all set. Thank goodness I asked her how far behind Dr Green was running. She told me at least an hour...AN HOUR. She had not intention of volunteering that information. I asked if she could please find out for sure how long because I have children to get off the bus. After a few minutes, I was told there were 6 patients ahead of me and it would be at least an hour and a half. I took a half day off of work and my husband took the whole day off because I would not be able to drive myself home. I asked to speak with the office manager, who was in the Monroe office that day so I called and left a message for her to call me back, which she never did.
