My friend went here months ago for an eyebrow tint & the messed her up she got a bad infection. This place is unsanitary all they care about is money. My friend is a shy & quiet person & Non confrontational but I convince her to give them a call. She informed them what had happened & they acted as if she did something wrong. Having recently moved from CA, I was surprised that threading here is hard to find and so expensive (over 50% more than in CA!)! I actually walked in to Brow Beauty and Beyond and promptly walked out after seeing their prices as well as the staff that was supposedly going to do the threading (they looked/seemed like they had just learned to thread yesterday). I was initially hesitant to try Eyebrow Plus since the reviews weren't all that great, but decided to give it a try. There are 2 locations in the Clackamas Town Center - one storefront and also a kiosk. I tried the threading at the kiosk a few times, which was ok, but wanted the same threader no matter what day I went, so tried the storefront. I found Mona, the manager, who is wonderful and I've been pleasantly surprised with how my threading has turned out! Because I get multiple areas of my face threaded, I decided to purchase their bundle. For all the areas of my face that I get threaded and for the convenience of being able to come in anytime and as many times as I want, the bundle ended up being extremely cost-effective and comparable to the prices I was paying in CA. They also had a great deal for Black Friday. I'm not sure why the negative reviews here, but for having been to numerous threading places in my life, I can confidently say that I recommend Eyebrow Plus for anyone looking for a good threader in the Portland area. I like coming to this location because I know they are always open and have someone that is experienced to do my eyebrow, Mona is usually the one I get to do my brows and I love it. Mona does it just the way I want and she is fast so makes it less painful. The only thing I do not like are the prices that have increased so much ever since I have known this place for quite a few years but they did added some flexibilities with the membership options you can buy such as instead of monthly, you can buy a specific amount of times at one purchase and other friends/family members can use that as well. read more

Went to the mall Friday to get my eyebrows done. Since I first became a member back in 2011 I just walked in and waited for someone to be available. When I went in Friday they had a sign saying they only take appointments now. Okay. That's fine. Covid. I get that but it would be nice to have them send an email maybe telling you that that is now the policy so I didn't waste my time. No big deal, brushed it off. Got on my phone and made an appointment for the next day, Saturday at 12pm (mall opens at 11) it said it was the first available. I get there at 12:03 and NO ONE IS THERE. The space is completely black. Wtf! I wasted my time AGAIN! Pretty frustrating. Maybe have some hours posted somewhere and don't have 12pm appointments if you aren't going to be open?!?!? Today, my 4th attempt at getting my eyebrows threaded, ended in disappointment again. Today, I went in at 1pm and the lights were off and they were closed. No sign on the door other than the posted COVID restrictions and rules. The website says open 11-7pm. My previous attempt, I made an appointments and when I showed up on time the gal had just seated a walk-in for a lash application that I was told would take 90 minute. I said, "but I have an appointment in 5 minutes" she said "sorry". I am furious because I bought a membership and paid a lot of money upfront. I have been trying to get in for over 2 months. This is a good place to go on a weekday when you don't want to make an appointment. I found them to be quick and efficient when I had my eyebrows done. They do a nice job coloring them and cleaning them up. If you have a membership you get priority (sign in when you get there). I tried the membership but don't really need to get my brows shaped every month so ended up canceling. read more

Horrible customer service! Hand written signs taped to the counter stating that drinks are not allowed and something about children misbehaving. They lock the door and post a "Back in 10 minutes" sign...25 minutes later, the door is still locked. This is a service and should be a relaxing experience, it wasn't. I had a membership at this place for probably 8 years. I went in one day and they told me my membership was expired. They gave absolutely no notice - no email, nothing in the mail, no call...nothing. They obviously didn't want to honor the deal they offered that long ago and clearly didn't care that they lost a client. Their new plan was a 66% increase. Considering how difficult it is to even work your way thru their reservation program and the fact that the techs don't want to shape my brows how I wanted them done, that much of an increase definitely isn't worth paying extra for. read more

I stopped in for the first time around Christmas last year and was offered 3 months of threading for $45 if I signed up to become a Five Stars member. I paid $51.50 because a $6.50 prorated fee was added since I was joining in the middle of that month. Of course this was not mentioned to me until after my card was swiped. I had seven sessions during those three months averaging just over $7/session, normally $20/session. Why the low rating? Like 80% of the reviews have already mentioned the customer service at this location can be atrocious and it's unacceptable. I try to ignore it since I only sit in the chair for five minutes but those five minutes I tell you what. Since becoming a member I've had four different women thread my eyebrows and only one has been kind and professional. The others exude annoyance, impatience, and bad attitude. I thought it was only me but their negative attitude was with every customer I noticed whilst waiting in line. Also, their quality of threading can range from average to below average. The threading was great the first time but now after every threading I'll need to pluck what was missed. I think if a few of the ladies improved their attitudes, took care of the line of customers before going on a break, and were more welcoming and appreciative of the business being brought in, Eyebrow Plus would be a more star worthy establishment but until then two is all I can give it. read more

I arrived at the Clackamas location, around 2pm on 12/22, with the intention of having Celeste thread my brows as she has done multiple times before. She is the only person I go to because I really like her work. After signing in using the iPad, Celeste approached me right away and asked me if I had someone to watch my son. My son is 4 and I brought him to the mall with me that day because it was winter break and he had no school. I have brought him to the Pioneer Place location before and I had no problem at all. I replied to Celeste that I did not have anyone to watch him and that I would be giving him my phone to keep him engaged while I got my brows done. Again, I have done this before at the Pioneer Place location. She did not accept this response however and told me, "We cannot have unattended children in here." At this point, I really wasn't sure what to do. She suggested that I put him in a stroller. My son is 4, he is not a baby, and is perfectly capable of sitting in a chair for a maximum of 10 minutes while I get my brows threaded. *Nowhere* in the policies and at no time during my *multiple* visits to this business have I been told that children are not allowed. I have brought him before and sat him in the chair and gave him my phone and no one said anything because it wasn't a big deal at all. Now, I understand that it was the holidays and it was busy and maybe they had a couple unruly kids come in there and mess things up or disrupt their work, I get it, I'm a teacher. I understand the need to have rules about this. However, there is no actual rule posted anywhere or in the membership policy about whether or not I can bring my kid and sit him in a chair and the way it was abruptly presented to me was upsetting and confusing, to say the least. I'm a single mom. Getting my eyebrows threaded is one of the VERY few "luxuries" I can make time for and can afford. Being discriminated against because I brought my son with me is not what I signed up for. If they think you can enforce this "no kids" rule, I can tell you right now that they are going to have very few customers coming to this business. I'm really sad because I like Celeste and I feel like she does a really great job and she and I had some friendly conversations. But I did not appreciate the way my son and I were treated that day. So I have a membership here and go regularly. Well, not anymore.. For the last year or so service has gone down and when I go in I get really nervous, it's like the workers hate when they get customers, act really cold, don't acknowledge you.. I can keep going. There's only one person there that was kind of nice but the last couple times she wasn't there so I'm just done. I went online and learned how to thread my upper lip myself and pluck my own eyebrows. I really wanted to like this place but it got to the point where I felt like they acted like they were doing me a favor by threading my face. When you pay for a service and go in and they make you feel unwanted it's a bit ridiculous.. Should I be paying the membership and not go in because they get annoyed?? I can't really blame the workers fully, even though they have more than two chairs I've never seen more than 1 to 2 people working at a time so they probably hate their jobs. read more

Long story short, I came back here for threading after being a member in the past, and received bad customer service. No greeting, just told to check in. During the threading, I don't recall putting on hand sanitizer because I wasn't told to. Knowing my makeup should have been removed, I did that prior but they didn't ask any questions and just went through with threading. After my appointment the next day I developed a bad rash with bumps in the exact spots they threaded... I called after 5 days of progressive bumps and rashes to ask for advice on what to do and they just dismissed it as a little reaction and that it should go away the next day. A week after the threading and the rash and bumps developed I went to the doctor, and they diagnosed staph. The manager dismissed me, no refund, took a day to call back. I finally just walked in. She didn't refund a $60 membership that I only used for one procedure, which the membership includes 3 months worth and I only got to use 1 because I got staph from the first. I am only posting this because I don't want anyone to make the same mistake I did by going here. I've been waiting for at least 45 minutes to get my upper lips done and she's still not done. How can they staff one person for to do the job. We came back and she was still working on someone so we ended up waiting 10 more minutes which was ok with us. She finished working on the other person and took someone else in front of us. I have been going to the clackamas location for almost 2 years now, and I usually have a fine experience if I have any of the employees except one of them. I try every time not to get my brows done by her, but today she was the only one at the time (because the other employees go on break even when there's 6+ people waiting) so like usual the employee doesn't greet anyone doesn't say hi nothing. Then she begins and I have never had someone be so aggressive and rough, I am not a confrontational person so I didn't say anything I just wanted to leave. I got both my lip and brows done, which should have taken at least 15 minutes if she was taking her time. I was out in 5 minutes with cuts on both my eye lid and above my lip. The employee avoided eye contact at all cost and spoke only when was absolutely necessary (asking what service & checking out). There was no greeting or appreciation of business to be had. She actually seemed rather annoyed to be working and I felt like she was rushing (I was the only customer and it was 2 hours until close so I am under the impression that this is just the norm). Also, one of the two times the employee spoke to me was inquiring why I was in. I replied with 'just a clean up, no shape change, nothing major'. Guess what? I feel like a naked mole rat now. Cool. When she was cashing me out she talked to me about the 3 month membership for $75 and said maintenance was every two weeks (which is BS in my opinion)... HA. I have written 2 reviews in my life only because I am never that energized to do so. This place gets negative stars!!!!! It just won't post until I choose at least one. I can't emphasize enough how rude and inconsiderate the staff are at this business. After reiterating several times I had never had treatments done to my eyebrows and to be very conservative only following my plucking, an entire edge was hacked off the left brow and I was sent on my way w no mention. I luckily saw myself in the bathroom and went right back. Celeste responded bewildered. She completely lacked even the basics in social skills and started poking at my brow bone w her fingernail (4x's and intensely!)- she may have been nervous but very shocking behavior with random verbal denials and never once an apology. Just completely acted confused. Talked to the manager Rebecca today and she has been about as inconsiderate as her staff in trying to remedy this only offering for me to come back. Which of course I don't want to go back there - I had to sternly ask for reimbursement of the appointment that I want to completely undo. She said no until I kept pushing. This is ridiculous treatment and extremely poor customer service. Too bad they're in the mall and others will impulsively walk by. Wow! A piece of work - my husband goes back in tonight with the card we charged the service on, after a phone call where she says yeah fine agreeing to reimburse me, and when he gets there she only gives half saying I should've been with him. I wish there was an option for no stars. To begin with every time I have talked to or communicated with a store employee they have been rude. Secondly after purchasing the $50 3-month auto pay I decided to stop coming shortly after because every time I went in the girls always rushed and left me with misshaped and uneven brows. But the worst of it all is after asking and writing in formally requesting that they stop auto charging my card they have continued to charge me and refuse to reverse the charges. I've never been so aggravated with a business in my life. I now have to get a different card and go to my bank and tell them how these crooks keep stealing from me.
