The receptionist would not accept my eye insurance and insisted on billing under health insurance for a routine eye exam. I told her that I do not want to pay out of pocket and she assured me I would not. they still charged me $60 after rushed routine visit. Then, they call me repeatedly asking for $280 as my insurance did not cover eye exam, when I told them I have a separate eye insurance, they insisted on billing under health insurance, and Assured me it would be covered. I have reported this Dr and her office for fraud to insurance company.

That really gave me confidence because they weren't just looking to get another surgery on the books. They cared about doing it right and had my well being at the top of the list. The day of my treatment I relaxed in the waiting room with HGTV to calm my nerves. After an additional vision check I was ushered into a futuristic, clean and impressive room with the doctor and two techs. About 6 or 7 minutes later I was reading the clock on the wall !! The treatment did NOT hurt- at most I felt some pressure. During the next 5 hours of resting with my eyes closed I occasionally felt some burning/stinging but would not even describe it at pain. Discomfort would be more accurate. I recommend TLC without hesitation. My only regret is not doing it sooner!

My exam was done basically in the hallway because there was no room. When Dr. Noecker came into the exam room, he said "You know how this goes, right?" Well, no I don't. I'm not an ophthalmologist and it was going to be my first surgery of any kind. He explained the procedure to me, but not the possible problems that may occur during or after the surgery. I read his reviews on other sites & saw a lot of "1 stars" with major complaints so I have decided to cancel my surgery and go with another ophthalmologist.

I had a broken shoulder surgically repaired last week, my dominant/writing hand. My arm is immobilized. I asked if there was another way I could provide the information because I was left-handed and would have trouble filling out the paperwork. The person I was speaking to went around the corner to ask someone else and I heard her say 'he can fill it out with his right hand.' I walked around the corner and said, 'you've got to be kidding me, there's no other way I can provide this information to you? What if someone has a disability, how would they do this?' The response was 'Their aid would fill it out.' I just took my insurance card and id and left while saying, 'or perhaps you could have provided the paperwork in advance, provide it electronically, or let me answer the questions verbally like every other office has been able to do.' I've had multiple first-time office visits in the past few weeks due to the broken shoulder. Very hard for me to politely explain how obnoxious and unnecessarily rude this was. Not to mention how out of line the response to the disability question was.

The economic payoff for Robbins is much higher in billing through medical insurance. Bills after two years, I called them on an $80 balance and paid $60 to end the BS; they "waived" the $20, or so they said. Another three years, and they send a $20 bill every three months. Today I paid the "waived $20 to end their larceny. How desperate is this operation? They spent three years collecting $20, which they had waived. Do not fall for the BS coming out of this place. Stay away. You have been warned. As far as service, I would never buy their high-priced glasses; I would go blind them go to Robbins again

I went back to PV twice and they suggested returning to Modern Focus as the lenses matched the script. The Dr at MF said my vision changed and gave me less of a correction. I feel her 11/25 script was inaccurate but she said no and charge me $60 for the new one because I didn't buy glasses there. What a rip off! PV is making my new lenses for free. Now that's good customer service. Oh, and I was the doctor's first appt of the day and she arrived 15 minutes late to work. Like my time isn't worth anything? Needless to say, I canceled my next exam. I went to Dr Gould for years and always received excellent care and customer service. MF could use a little training on both areas.
