From the moment we arrived, Dr. Truong treated my mother with the utmost respect, patience, and genuine care. She took the time to make sure my mother felt comfortable throughout the appointment and never rushed the process. It meant a lot to see a physician show that level of compassion and professionalism. Dr. Truong was also extremely thorough during the eye examination. She carefully evaluated my mother's vision and eye health and took the time to explain everything in a clear and helpful way. The front office staff I usually interact with (Sarah and Erica) are informative and helpful. Sarah usually conducts my pre-exam eye checks (puff of air, peripheral vision test, etc), and she is the BEST at distracting and moving through the tests quickly so that this is not tortuous like it always has been for me at other places. The frames here are gorgeous (name brands, lots of variety and sunglasses too), but you will not find a cheap pair of glasses here. I usually find a pair for under $300 to be specific. Insurance is key. The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stats is because I wish the office had more of a welcoming feel- the overall tone is business first. This may work well for you because everyone is nice, professional and excellent at the medical side of their jobs. Appointments are quick, and I have never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room.

However, the experience with the front desk/optometric technician has been consistently uncomfortable. I have visited three times, and each time I was made to feel "stupid" for asking basic questions. Rather than being helpful, the technician would give me a stare like I was a burden, which made me feel extremely unwelcome. Beyond the attitude, the technical service was disappointing. After waiting over a month for my Metas, they arrived and rested right on my cheeks (which the sample pair didn't do). When I raised this concern, the technician dismissively told me they are "universal frames" and offered no help. It feels like the measurements taken by the optician didn't matter. Now I have to buy my own nose bridge inserts to prevent the glasses from causing acne and skin irritations. I want to continue seeing Dr. Grichine, but the lack of kindness and technical support from the staff makes it very difficult to return.
