I've been to both the Hixson store and the Gunbarrel store. Both have very nice staff & have been very knowledgeable. My last visit was to the Gunbarrel office this past June. I saw Dr. Patel for a remote glasses & contacts exam while Mr. Adam's was physically there to work the equipment & run test. She was also very knowledgeable and informative, communicating clearly without using a lot of medical terminology that could be confusing and without talking down to me. They both answered all of my questions throughly. I also ordered new lenses. The optical tech worked with me to figure out exactly what my insurance covered. I went back to pick up my glasses this past week. There was a different optical tech who fitted them on my face. She was also very kind & helpful asking me questions to help fit them perfectly. Had an appointment at 11:15, arrived a few minutes early, did the pre-test (puffs in the eyes) then went to wait in waiting area. People came and went, people were getting called back. We waited for an hour, nobody came by, nobody said we are backed up. I asked if there was a problem, manager said it's unusual to wait over 30 minutes. No doctor on site, manager didn't move from her seat the entire time we were there. They said, that's the way they do things there and we're sorry! Pathetic excuse for a business!! Large Selection, Good Location, Not Inexpensive This place strike you as huge inside when you walk in. Not that most of the space is being used, it's just super roomy. They have a pretty wide range of glasses to choose from. So many look exactly the same to me, but I guess glasses are glasses and I haven't ever seen that many in one place before. I got a couple new pairs and after insurance had about $500 out of pocket after lens upgrades which seem like you have ton buy then or you'll get cheap plastic lenses that will be scratched and useless otherwise. Getting helped wasn't simple since it seems everyone was working with someone so I picked my glasses and then a friendly girl helped me check out after. They had some good deals advertised for inexpensive glasses 2 for $99 or something like that but I opted for fancier stuff so I paid for it. All in all not a bad place. read more

Monica needs some additional training on customer service. This is not my first encounter with her. This is my 3rd encounter with her since November 2021. Her attitude is one that needs to hit the door. Customers need to be a top priority and she doesn't make customers comfortable. Then she had the audacity to question the dr's ability to write a prescription properly. The staff in the room making the glasses is very sweet and takes the time to say hello as they walk past each customer. Let alone seeing her be rude to a customer before me and the rudeness continued is absurd. read more

I wasn't looking forward to the daunting task of picking out new frames and glasses. I chose Eyeglass World because they helped me order some contacts last year. I like the fact that they quickly greet customers as they walk in and service is prompt. Monica helped me and made picking out new glasses fun! She has a talent for picking out frames that work well with facial features. She was very professional and spent a lot of time making sure I was happy with my purchase. I have been a customer in years past, and ran in to look at glasses but also get my PD. They refused to give it to me unless I was buying glasses from them and they would only give me my number at check out. I have bought so many glasses from them over the years and the flat out refusal to give me a quick number while I'm deciding what to get guaranteed that I would not even bother looking to buy glasses from them ever again. read more

First off, the exact frame that was $78 at another store was $159 here. At the other store we would have had to wait 2-3 weeks for them to come in. So... the other store sent us here, as they are "sister stores". I asked if I could get the same price since they were "sister stores"and I was pretty much told I could go back to them if I wanted to. Well. I know I could, but that wasn't my question, was it? Secondly, this was my son's first time wearing glasses and the whole experience was tainted by rude employees. The lady waiting her turn behind me was also just spoken to in a way that made me turn around to see if she was "okay" and to let her know that I, also, thought the employee was rude (In a mask down, whisper sort of way.) The lady behind me said, "she was rude to me last week". I asked the lady behind me who the Manager was and she pointed to-- get this --none other than, the first rude employee who had a smart response to my very legitimate question! I really couldn't make this up. But I guess if your leadership sets a low standard for customer service then any employee underneath doesn't have much to live up to. Sad. read more

Friendly staff, including the optometrist office in-house. They have the range of cheap to expensive glasses and aren't pushy.

Economical - 3 pairs of glasses for the price of one elsewhere if one is sensible about the myriad of options. Courteous attentive service. Normally same day delivery. If one insists on wasting money on designer frames etc, this is not your store. Otherwise, A+, 5 star. read more
