Really helped adjust 3 of my glasses. Two of them were not naught from the store. But they were accommodating and didn't charge.

My family had gone to one place for our vision needs for the last 20 years until there was an insurance change. This brings us to Eyeglass World. We needed a place that accepted our vision insurance, provided eye exams, and offers a large variety of eyeglass frames. Staff are professional and very helpful. Satisfied with the vision exam. Love the large selection of eyeglass frames. Loved that they had name brand frames! They also had frames for wider faces. The only complaint is that Eyeglass World doesn't have frame cases for most of their frames they sell. Instead, they give out cheap, clear, plastic eyeglass frame cases with those that don't have cases from the original manufacturer of the frame. Its okay. Had to have multiple eye glasses fixed for poor workmanship by the place that makes lenses for many in my family. They do have a great selection of frames available and usually have nice staff to help. With little kids its great if you get the insurance for the glasses, 2 of the kids had multiple broken glasses over a 1 year period and were replaced free of charge. Its a mixed bag. They post same day on wall, the average is 1 to 2'weeks over last 3 years. So don't be in a hurry, doesn't happen. Went for a standard eye exam but end up buying two for the price of one glasses. Lol I made an appointment online and I got a text and email reminding of my appointment. Coming in, it was clean, bright and spacious. They also have two gender neutral bathrooms. You get your optometry and prescription room. If you're a new patient like I was, you will have to fill out some documents. I got my eye exam done by Amanda and with an additional $10 more, a closer in depth with Dr. Ansette (I probably butchered her name). Turns out my eyes had a small minor problem but that's common. We had a wonderful experience at this location. They have a fantastic selection of frames including a huge selection of Junior frames. The service was stellar. Diego assisted us and he was great. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He gave me different price quotes for a variation of frames and "add ons." I love this place. Easy booking online and we were helped quickly during our appointment. Dr was very thorough with my daughter and we got lots of autonomy while shopping which is exactly what we like. My daughter found the perfect pair of glasses and pick up was smooth. Everyone that we spoke to here was happy to help and patient. When originally calling to make an appointment over a week ago, they put me on numerous 5+ minute holds. The total phone call was almost 30 minutes just to schedule an appointment, only to have them call me 40 minutes before the appointment to cancel/reschedule. Beware of this place. With all the craziness going on in 2020 I forgot to re-order and schedule an appointment with my usual eye doctor. I found this place here due to their good reviews and was able to get in within 1 day. Everything has gone down hill since. I was initially supposed to go back for a follow up within a week of my first appointment. We are now in week 3 or 4 because of 4 or 5 cancellations/re-schedules (I lost count) on their part. I am a very patient person but this is just beyond ridiculous. The latest excuse this morning was that the doctor didn't come in. I get it, life happens. But 4 or 5 times? I am now re-scheduled AGAIN for next week. I don't have much faith that that appointment will happen either. At this point I'd rather pay cash and go elsewhere. read more

After 3 months of exams, remaking glasses, readjusting, I had to ask for my money back. This company could just not make a pair of lenses that worked for me. Going into the third month the person up front wanted to schedule another exam with one of their other staff for a 2nd opinion. They rushed me through the exam. 4 and a half minutes for exam. The guy told me you should skip part of the exam because you probably will half to pay $15.00 Then he told me to look at the cheapest frames. He said your insurance is like a discount coupon. I picked out some frames and was told you have to pay $49.00 I said OK. I asked for a breakdown for my payment. She said oh you have great insurance it is not $49 it is all covered. I could have picked out frames that cost $300.00 Next time I will shave before I go there because they treated me like I was homeless. Originally I went in and I didn't like The script they gave me... the awesome part was they didn't question me and took me back in and ran more tests and got me a whole new set for free to make sure I was satisfied. Was misled by their online ad stating same day contacts for $27.99. Got an appointment same day but no contacts. They said they didn't have it in stock and had to wait 4-10 business days but I ended up calling them 10 days later because I didn't hear anything from them. Then I was advised that my contacts came in but have to wait for the next available appointment with the same optometrist that assisted me. I think their advertisement is really misleading in terms of costs and wait times. read more

I came in for a basic repair and was greeted with much kindness and curtesy from the staff. My glasses were repaired with a new nose pad and the misplaced screw was replaced with a new one. All thanks to the nice gentleman Joaquin, who was very helpful. I was also assisted by Sue who was very patient with me while I tried on numerous glasses that she immediately sanitized after each touch. My overall experience was was awesome and to top it off Joaquin did not charge me for the repairs and Sue put the glasses I selected on hold for me. From the night I booked the appointment. The next morning I got a call confirming my appointment. I was really happy. They do want you to arrive early if your a new patient but I got there really early and they where able to take me. The eyes tests are really cool. I don't have insurance so I paid out pocket. I've needed new glasses for awhile now. The last optometrist I used retired! We went to another place that was really helpful, but... SOOOO expensive! I ended up cancelling the order I'd placed with them, and headed over to Eyeglass World when we were shopping in the area. A woman named Eva assisted me. I found out I could get TWO pairs, with all the upgrades I wanted for about the same price as ONE pair at the other place! Life happened, I didn't make it back for MONTHS. Oddly enough, when I came back in, Eva was there to assist me. Only thing was this time, I was on my LUNCH break! I had already done most of the legwork with her last time, so she was able to get me in and out and I was only a couple minutes late - I work in Old Town, so it was a LITTLE bit of a drive for a lunch break. My glasses were ready to pick up THAT NIGHT! I was so pumped! They were cute, cheap and... Hmmmm... maybe not quite right... It seemed like I had to look through one of the pairs at a certain angle... I took them in, and some adjustments were made. The thing is, this issue would only present itself after HOURS of wear. And then I had to take them off! They were PAINFUL. I was frustrated, and took them back in. Another adjustment was made. Fingers crossed! Nope. Didn't work. I'm starting to get upset. It's not like I have time to head on over every other day. In fact, I have been wearing the sunglasses in the house and office because they offer a reprieve. I called and got Eva on the line. I told her I needed a manager. She said she is one, and there until 6:30! Well, of course, my son was late getting dropped off, so I missed my opportunity, I HAVE to go in Friday. Friday, I am DETERMINED to demand another pair of frames. I go in, and the lady who made the initial adjustment is there. IDK why, but I'm like, "Can you please just LOOK at my ear? I can't really SEE back there, but it hurts, and it's really concentrated, so it's hard for me to tell how/where/why!" She DID! Thank goodness, because she made one more adjustment, and I said, "Let me wander around the store next door for awhile, to see if they're REALLY fixed. By the time I got back to the car, my husband asked about my glasses. I FORGOT about them. That's how it SHOULD be. She did it! Thank you, THANK YOU! I took my father's eye glasses into Eye Glass World on Laguna Blvd. for repair. Joaquin was able to bend the frames back into shape and reinsert the lense that had popped out. I have been coming to this location for a few years, but this will probably be the last time. It had been a while since my last exam because my daughter was dealing with cancer. She passed in September 2022 so I came in for an exam in January and also picked out new frames since my old frames had broke and I was keeping them together with bands. It took 2 weeks for the glasses to be ready. After wearing them for a couple days, I realized the frames would not work for me (too big, sat on my face wrong, slid off during exercise.) so I came back in on January 21, 2023 to find different frames. After explaining to the manager 4 times why I was not happy with the frames, she said I could exchange them. I picked new ones, they were fitted, and I was told 10 days to 2 weeks. On February 3rd, I called in the morning to see if the glasses were ready. I was told they were there and should be ready for pick up that afternoon. About an hour later, I got a call that a "flaw" was found on the lens and the glasses would have to be sent back to the lab and it would be an additional 10 days to 2 weeks! How is a pair of glasses with a flaw in the lens allowed to leave the lab? Why is there not better quality control in place so the customer does not suffer? I said it was ridiculous that I should have to wait that long when I have already waited 2 weeks. Remember, my old frames were broken and could not be repaired so time was important. Supposedly, a "rush" was put on my frames since it was a lab mistake. Well today, February 18, I still have no glasses! I called Thursday and was told no glasses have come in and it would probably be ANOTHER WEEK! Absolutely ridiculous! I guess "rush" means slower to Eyeglass World. I will wait for this week, then a refund if no glasses and my money will go to a business that cares. read more

My appointment was at 1030 get there on time and then they tell me my appointment was changed to 11:15 with out even reaching out to me I asked who changed because I didn't change there response our system is acting up. Ok then I say fine since I'm here I'll wait till 11:15 that 11:15 turn to 12:45 highly disappointed with the service. Had to wait over 2 hours for my appointment.
