I have never been more disrespected in my LIFE. As I was running late I called told her exactly when I'd be there ,fine no problem under 10 minutes. It was 6 minutes late. They took the next appointment in front of me . Except it wasn't 1 person it was a couple, when they finally got done they put another COUPLE in that room and dr went in . She said no but I not only saw it but you could hear them . I had to take time off my job loose money. Trust neither of those couples has to do that. If she'd told me on the phone I would have made other arrangements, but I wasn't afforded that option. My time literally is my money so to be treated in this fashion was not only disgusting but also lost revenue. Also I'm telling everyone I know how I was treated there. Got attended as soon as I walked in the door. Was checked on while browsing for glasses and was taken care of right away as soon as I picked out my glasses. Great customer service from Lauren, she was really informative, nice & funny. I paid a great price for two glasses, insurance on a pair and the anti reflective on a pair compared to the eye guy. Today was my first visit. My son had an 11:00 appt and my appt followed at 11:20. I can understand appointments behind schedule but it's 12 noon and the optometrist leaves the room where he is testing my son and moves to the next room where I can hear him giving an eye exam to someone who checked in 40 minutes after our arrival. If my son didn't need his glasses right away, I would leave and not return. My time is just as valuable as the optometrist! Update: within 4 hrs after leaving, I received a call apologizing for the delay in being seen and a credit towards the purchase of my son's eyeglass. I can appreciate that and increased my initial rating from 2 to 4 stars. read more

I would give a zero if the option was available. 2 times in one year called store to order new contact lens and each time the wrong lens were ordered and sent. 1st one had completely wrong prescription purely printed on box and ordered that way, 2nd did not have a prescription: they ordered with a zero. Everytime I have an exam and order my glasses and contacts they tell me the amount due and I pay, no questions asked. Each year they come back and send a threat bill even though I pay what they ask at time of service. 3 years in a row they billed the wrong insurance for my son to some child in Chicago and I live in Florida. will never set foot in this sub par ignorant so called eye establishment. read more

Dr Winter is the best optometrist I have ever been to, he is patient, kind and very thorough on eye exams and takes the time to explain any conditions you may have and answers concerns you may need addressed. Megan is just as amazing, she is always eager to assist and is a definite blessing when it comes to filing insurance paperwork and is fast with making any appointments one may need with a specialist. Pensacola Store. My wife ordered a pair of replacement lenses for frames that were originally bought there. This was on a Thursday or Friday. Was told they'd be in othe following Thursday. We showed up on Saturday (after the Thursday they were supposed to be there) and was told come back "next Tuesday" as they had not returned yet. Called the following Wednesday was told they'd be there "tomorrow". Called Friday, was told they were working on them, call back "tomorrow". Seems like "tomorrow" never comes. So much for "glasses in a day"! Never again. read more

I am rating this with 3-stars. It's an average rating because 5 stars would go to optician, Sally and 1 star for the people who answer the phone and blow you off when checking on your eyeglasses. First, Sally is amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable about the lenses and the fit. She's one of the best opticians I've ever come across. Business was completed with expected delivery of one pair of lenses the next day and the second pair a couple days later. That never happened and when I called I kept getting told they would be ready the "next" day. Well, that never came. I got all kinds of stories about when the glasses would be ready. One story was the due date which was not true and another was that they had been mailed out and wouldn't be received back for a couple more days. Well, they weren't mailed out. They hadn't left the shop. All it took was indicating I expected a refund. Sally came to the rescue when she heard the discussion. One pair was already finished and the other just waiting to be finished. They had never been mailed. There was no blown-up due date. Sally also did the tinting and called me within the hour. They were ready for pickup. This was a terrible experience at Eyeglass World due to the excuses and being blown off. I would never take a prescription to another Eyeglass World unless Sally worked there. read more

Possibly one of the worst customer service experiences I have had a long time. I stopped by to get my eyes checked to learn that I needed an appt first....no where in there advertising does it suggest this. I was told I was 'lucky' because they had one 2 hours later. I returned at 2:45 and waited for around 20 minutes looking at the frames, I finally sat down only to be asked by the very person who made my appt why I was there...was I needing an appt? This was 10 minutes AFTER my scheduled appt....I simply got up and left. Out of the approx 10 employees I watched sitting around and visiting with each other, only 2 of those workers were actually helping customers. I will not be back here. read more

I mistakenly provided an expired insurance card (my fault!) so I paid all expenses out of pocket. Realizing my mistake, I called first thing next morning (my appointment was at 4:30 pm day before - left at 6:30 pm) only to be told too late, they won't run insurance card again, I needed to call and request reimbursement. I did and after talking to insurance rep, she said that it would be SO much easier to get them to just do a refund. This is when customer service bottomed out. Went back in, presented my correct insurance card and it took longer to get a refund than it did for my entire initial appointment! Staff was downright rude! Due to me paying out of pocket I purchased inexpensive frames (which I loved!) but did not realize the hard frame would hurt the bridge of my nose. Bought nose pads and while I am sitting there struggling because I am blind as a bat without glasses on, I told staff I can't see to put nose pads on and she sat there and laughed at me. She completely ignored me as I put them on upside down. I cancelled my second pair because why have two identical pairs that are only going to hurt my nose and give me headaches as well. They say they have a 30 day money back/replace if you are not happy guarantee. If I did not have constant headache and a permanent indention on the sides of my nose, I would ride it out for a year but...here goes. In closing - GREAT for an eye exam but save yourself some trouble, make sure you have all of your ducks in a row before you go in because these folks don't seem to want to go above and beyond for their clients. read more

Don't Do It!! The worst service you will ever deal with! I bought glasses their and had really bad service and swore to myself I would never step in that place again. Well I did, because I broke the arm off safety glasses and could not go without, and told them I couldn't. Well they said they could swap frames and put my lenses in new frames, but they could not get the lenses out of the brok pair. I went to a few more stops looking for someone with the same frames. No luck, so I had to go back to EYE GLASS WORLD!! They took the lens that was out and went to install in new frame. Lens was too big, so know they tell me they can cut the lenses down to fit new frame. But could not get the other lens out. The frame was already broken and they had nothing to cut the frame to get other lens out. So I go to my shop and cut the broke frame got Len and went back to store. Gone 30 minutes. They act like they don't even know me. Wanted to know where I got the new frames, still had the tag on it and a $135.00 receipt. rames came in. Needed for work. Well when he comes back tells me the. Then she remembered after I almost blew my cool. They go to cut the lens and come back and said they could not cut them because they are safety lens. So now we are on the computer looking for the right frame. Holding the lens and new frames I have bought,I asked if they could just put longer screws in to hold frames , they were very close and I could deal with them until the new lens they tried to cut, no longer had the edge to grip into the frame. So here we were about to order new frames for lenses that we're screwed up. So now in a very bad bind do to needing safety glasses. Have wasted about 4 hrs of my time also. Just to say I still have no glasses and have nothing coming from them. They did give me a refund for the frames I paid for.. I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE PAID FOR A NEW PAIR OF LENSES, but no I walked out of there before I showed my ASS. Seen 3 people leave in four hours upset. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND WILL DETOUR EVERYONE I CAN TO PREVENT ANYONE FROM GOING TO EYE GLASS WORLD! It's been a month and have not even gotten a apology. SCREW THEM!!! read more

Went there on the 5th of January ordered glasses, I was told they be ready between 1pm and 2pm on the 6th. Holy Moly drove across town to pick them up, the lady told me we must have got our communication crossed they won't be ready till 3:15pm. Had a great experience all-around. Started with an eye exam. The doc is really top-notch: funny, friendly, and very thorough. He was very attentive to details. Then off to pick the frames. Sammy is great- and made it fun. She helped me pick out and try on lots of pairs of glasses and gave great advice. At one point several of the staff shared that they really liked some frames- that I would not have chosen on my own- that has become my absolute favorite. They were right on! Then Vicki expertly helped me with the details. The prices for trifocals were so good that I ended up getting 3 pair. I live in another state and the glasses were mailed quickly. Vicky relayed the locations near me in Colorado that were available if I had any issues or needed any adjustments but I haven't even needed to. One pair was a little slower arriving as they wanted to be sure they were up to par. I was fine with the short delay and appreciative they went to the extra effort. EyeGlass world offered buy one get one free. I spent an hour waiting on the employee to verify my insurance benefits. Got a price. Paid for the glasses in full. Then, almost 3 months later I get a letter in the mail claiming to be a second notice that I owe an additional $40. The insurance paid exactly what they told the employee they would pay, but Eyeglass World recalculated what was owed and decided it was $40 short. I talked to their representative and was unable to get a clear answer as to why. They oscillated from saying I was ineligible for the Buy one get one offer to saying that the insurance didn't pay what they expected, even though the insurance company paid exactly what they told the store employee they would pay for at the time of purchase. Finally I was told I either pay the $40 or they would turn it over to a creditor and screw up my credit. So I paid and promised to let everyone and his brother know they couldn't be trusted.
