What went well? Everything! I'm not great about keeping up with prescription and haven't replaced my glasses in some time. I was an early morning walk in - wait time was just long enough for me to fill out my paperwork. Everyone was extremely friendly and it was so smooth. If you're older: the machine that helps determine your prescription is waaaay easier than it used to be - I felt like I went to a wizard! And when it came time to select some glasses (frames and options) the young woman working the counter asked a few questions and literally walked me to the pair I ended up getting - first try, I don't even need to see any others. These guys are legit. For as long as I live in Pensacola I will be exclusively using them. Can't recommend enough for my old folks who haven't enjoyed previous optometrist appointments. 10/10 will be back read more

Best experience getting glasses by far! Broke my old pair, and my current place could not fix, and said 2-3 weeks to get a new pair. Came to Opti-Club, and immediately felt welcomed by the staff there. Everyone I interacted with was so friendly and helpful! The doctor was great, explaining everything to me, and I felt he really was looking out for my vision care. The best part is that while my lenses will take about 7 days, they created me 2 pairs of temp glasses using my new frames. One for driving and one for close up (since I wear tri-focals), so I don't have to try wearing a broken pair of glasses until my new ones are ready. I got my glasses a little over a year ago and had a couple issues all of which were my fault. The times I called on what to do, they were very helpful which speaks of their customer service. If there were issues (there weren't) , I'm one to look past it because sometimes its nothing they can do, not their fault, a simple misunderstanding, etc. I'm sure there are plenty of other companies that offer good products and services including in Tampa where I live. Heck, there's two about a mile from my house. However, I will always come here for me, my wife and now my son. The reason is pretty simple. I had an appt with Dr. East today. I've been seeing optometrists since I was a kid considering my need for glasses as well as eye diseases that run in my family. So if there's legitimately any doctor I will skip within a year, it's not my eye doctor. I saw him last year for the first time since moving to the Pensacola area, and my appt was good. I noticed he moved semi fast considering my prior eye doctor and talked about a potential health concern that I followed up with my eye doctor back home. Considering it wasn't a bad experience, near work and I was established there, I decided to come back this year. Wow, what a waste of money and time. He comes in the office, maybe looks at my eyes for 10 seconds, changes my prescription (which is fine), without even giving me a chance to ask questions, says my eyes are healthy while not even really looking at them and says I have no concerns for eye diseases since that comes with old age..right cause my grandmother had juvenile macular degeneration and let me just list the other things my family has been diagnosed early in life. What a flipping joke! And walks out of the room without even seeming to conclude the appt.. I seriously feel like I need to go spend money somewhere else to get my eyes TRULY f'n looked at to make sure they really are ok. Like I'm a healthcare professional and I would be appalled if a colleague was like that to a patient. If you really need someone to check out the health of your eyes, go elsewhere. read more

I came in for an eye exam last minute before a trip to NY for glasses and contacts. They got me an appointment next day. The optometrist that I saw was so personable and answered all my weird questions. He found that my astigmatism changed in both eyes. I swear I haven't seen this well in years! The diagnostic equipment used to examine our very hard of hearing father was seamless and allowed a quick and accurate diagnosis without any confusion taking place. Personally, I was seen earlier this year for a health concern to an eye caused by a contact which was poorly removed. At that visit the Dr. East took care in explaining the details of what the course of healing would be. Moving on to eye glasses: I brought broken sunglasses in and they were repaired at no cost. Both my father and myself chose eyeglasses with Mary's professional help. It was quick and painless. There was a special at the time and we walked away with 2 for 1. When I first found out I needed glasses I got a pair of raybans and was surprised to find out how much better I could see out of my new glasses. The ladies that work at opticlub didn't just send me off to pick my glasses out blindly but helped me find the frames that looked best on me. More than impressed with the customer service with an incredible selection of difficult to find brands (oakley, ray ban, fendi, etc) and sizes. Most shop-in-a-box's cater to people with generic frames and lenses but the staff at opticlub help you pick a frame that best suits your facial shape/size. Having had glasses since third grade (and passed on my eyes to my kids) it's always a pleasure knowing my family and I will receive excellent customer service from every staff person and can get great fitting glasses/lenses that look great. Remember the most expensive glasses are the ones your family won't wear. Oh and being able to get your glasses while you wait is a bonus! Had the worst experience today. They broke my glasses adjusting it. That in itself is bad enough but not only did I not get an apology I also got a manager with an attitude. I did get new glasses to replace the broken one along with a rude and unfeeling speech. I don't care that you replaced my glasses for free. They were my favorite pair and an extension of myself. All I wanted was a sincere apology for the mistake made. I got my glasses here a year ago...they never felt comfortable but when I took them back I was told they just took time to get use to. I went for my annual optometry appointment yesterday 4/18/19...I noticed they kept checking my glasses against the prescription. Four or Five times they did this. Finally they told me the glasses were not the prescription as written. They were all wrong. How does this happen?? I am out over $500 and I was never offered the "free" second pair. I know...a year...but thinking it is just me and finding out it's not. Make sure you take any glasses made there and have them checked again. Thankfully my eyes will be okay...my doctor told me to find my old pair and wear them because they were better than what they gave me. So disappointed!! read more

I have seen Doctor East at least 3 times now and appreciate his professionalism, explanations and time. What I am concerned with is the pricing on glasses. First time, it was over $800 for one new pair regular glasses and one new pair sunglasses. Next visit, I had the new lenses placed in my own frames. $700 plus. When I questioned the price, they suddenly just dropped $100. I just asked what it would cost to have my new prescription lens placed in my old frames without any lens tinting etc, i was quoted $275. As I was placing the order and ready to pay, the price jumped to $700. When I questioned her, she said, just a minute, "let's see what we can do." Bam....all of a sudden she saids, ok, "how about $499?" I said, wow, that's quite a difference, and she said, "well, that's with all your discounts." Guess they don't automatically include discounts unless you question them, but, suddenly $219 off appeared. read more
