I have done eyelash extensions in couple of other places in Japan, but this is by far the best place! The owner, Emiko used to work for art stuff of Hollywood movies like Austin Powers and such.. She knows how eyelash extensions work really well. I like her work because it is more artsy and delicate than the other places.. and she is quick. Because my eyelashes are thin, she picked thin lashes to go with mine. The last place I went to picked thick ones and that was too heavy on my eyes. And she did different length of lashes and they looked so pretty! With my extensions on, I don't have to put much make up on, because the eyelashes are long and gorgeous. I went to Emiko 3-4 times and thought this was going to be a place I would continue to patronize. The lashes she uses are nice, natural and soft. The problem is THE CHARGES WERE VERY UNCLEAR. Every time I went, the prices were different for the same service. On the last visit I asked her to put in a little more this time since a lot of them fell out quickly. I was charged a lot more. She also charged me $20 to sit with some natural makeup remover pads on my eyes to wash off some mascara and the mascara ended up under my eyes for me to clean off myself! I used to go her place around 2008 but I stopped going because I found other places much better and last for longer time, and have variety of the shape and length of lashes. I tryed this summer again at Emiko's, but she didn't do a good job at all. My eyes got hurt and infected, and lashes were so thin and she didn't put enough lashes. I looked horrible. She always mentions how other salons were bad, and hers was good. But I don't think so. I do not recommend her to anybody, and I won't go back to her either. I love my new lashes! Since I have thin and scarce lashes, I decided to try extensions a few months ago. Until Emiko, I used to get them done in a salon in Arcadia but the technicians were always rushing through the application and failed to do a careful job. Although it was cheap, the results were never quite what I expected. Then I discovered Emiko through Yelp and after a careful examination, I found out that my lashes were clumped up and damaged due to an excess of extensions and glue. The extensions I had were too thick and heavy for my thin lashes and the technician glued as many as 3 extensions on a single lash! Emiko patiently explained me the actual process of adding lashes and even showed me the difference between her equipment and other commonly used glues and lashes. Trust me, its superior quality really makes a difference! I am so happy with Emiko's work; she is very talented and does an incredible job with lash extensions. She is so patient and knowledgeable that I immediately trusted her with my lashes. During the process, Emiko was so gentle that I fell asleep! First, she had to remove my previous clumped up lashes; then, she added new extensions. They look so natural but still make an impact. Now, I can actually comb through them! I have gone to many places to get them done, but I could not find a place that I could truly say "this is it!" I am the biggest fun of fake eye lashes, and I usually wear them everyday. I called Emiko last Saturday on a whim to see if she would be able to take me in. Our phone conversation was extraordinarily pleasant. She wanted to make sure that I did not drive too fast to her place since it was raining heavily outside. I did go on line myself and decided to try out these lash extensions Saturday morning, and by Saturday evening, I had 120 new lash extensions (60 lashes per eye) by 7pm! It was an amazing experience and I want to add more! we agreed to having 50 lashes per eye yet, she did not charge me for the extra 10. We talked about my aesthetic preference beforehand and she politely showed me the various eye lash lengths that is available. We both decided to "mix" up various lash lengths to give it a more natural look. Today, I went into work without any mascara on. The first time in my adult life were I feel exceptionally comfortable in leaving the house without any mascara!
