I had been a patient at Eyeloha Optometry for over three years for eye exams and contact lens orders, but unfortunately my experience declined significantly over time. One of the most concerning incidents was when I brought in a pair of designer sunglasses to be adjusted after being told they could help. I specifically mentioned that they were delicate and to please be careful. The staff member handling them dismissed this, said they were "sturdy," and then proceeded to snap them. These were a $400 pair of sunglasses. While I initially overlooked this, it was very disappointing and unprofessional. More recently, I attempted to reschedule an appointment after missing one due to being sick. I had called ahead of time but couldn't get through. When I followed up, the front desk staff member was rude and made an inappropriate comment about my voice and questioned me in a way that felt unnecessary and unprofessional. In general, interactions with the front desk have consistently been unpleasant and difficult when trying to schedule or manage appointments. Additionally, I've had ongoing issues with prescriptions and overall care. I recently saw a different eye doctor who informed me that the prescription I received from Iloha was too strong, which explains the eye strain I had been experiencing. The exam I received there did not feel thorough in comparison. The new office also had significantly more advanced equipment, which made me realize that Iloha may not be up to par in terms of technology or quality of care. I also had difficulty obtaining my glasses prescription when trying to order elsewhere, which made the process unnecessarily frustrating. They were not helpful when it came to ordering glasses or guiding that process. On top of that, they did not assist at all with contact lens rebates--you have to figure that out yourself. Most offices help facilitate rebates and make the process easier, but that was not the case here. Overall, after multiple negative experiences over several years--including poor customer service, lack of professionalism, outdated equipment, and concerns about the accuracy of care--I would not recommend this office. read more

After over ten years of excellent service, the staff at Eyeloha completely screwed me over. I did my annual exam, then ordered a pair of lenses for my sunglasses. It was Monday, and Nestor the office manager put it together for the insurance etc...A week later I called and he had not sent the request in. I had ordered glasses at Lenscrafters on the Friday AFTER he assured me I was to have no cost lenses through my insurance. I asked Dr. Li to salvage a long time patient, and she just argued with me. It is hard to believe they would screw over a longtime patient over a pair of lenses. BEWARE! read more

Dr. Li is the best. I have had to come to her twice in the past week for two unrelated eye emergencies and both days she was able to take me in same day in between appointments. I was originally happy to find a nice new optometrist close to my work. But I wouldn't recommend this one. They didn't inform me of the high index lens with uv coating they ordered that I didn't request or want and the associated high cost. If you do decide to go here, be sure to ask what each item costs up front as well as request an itemized receipt of those costs. They never provided me an itemized receipt. I requested it 4 times (by phone and in person) but to no avail. read more

I've been a client at this optometry business for over 20 years, when it was owned by Dr. Steven Luskin). I was really sad to see Dr. Luskin leave, but the good news is an awesome female doctor took over the practice! Ms. Lucinda Liu is as fun and professional as it gets. She is very down to earth and really knows her craft. She likes to talk about real issues and cares about your eye health. I have an auto-immune disease and she's always concerned about it accelerating the degradation of my sight or affecting the he internal health of my eyes. On top of Luci being incredible, the front office manager, Nestor, is a fixture in the office and just plain cool. He's friendly but no-nonsense and having worked there for over 30 years, knows every client by name. If you want to make Nestor smile, chat him up about fast muscle cars. read more

The staff was friendly, but I felt like the communication was poor. I was given a written prescription that I can't even use now because the product is out of stock permanently and also I couldn't even read it. I was also charged $250, something that should have been discussed with me prior to getting the service, but it was not. I asked for an explanation of my prescription multiple times and was given it via text, which still didn't make sense. I forgot to get on the books for my eye appointment. When I noticed, it was too late and I was going to run out. I was leaving on vacation Thursday night and I texted the Dr. Wednesday at 6:35pm and she got back to me that night asking when my plane was and then told me to come in the next day so she could, "put something together for me and I should go to wherever I was going seeing"! I had clearly been putting it off denying that I might actually need corrective lenses for my distance vision. Dr. Lucinda Li was extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful with the entire process. She even spent some time talking to me about the pros and cons of Lasik surgery and helped determine if it is the right course of action for me. Eyeloha was fantastic as my first and only real eye doctor appointment. I went in to see if I would need glasses for eye fatigue since I work with computers, but I've never had any real issues with my vision so it was really nice to be able to talk to a super knowledgeable optometrist and I received great customer service despite ultimately not needing any further services. Dr. Lucinda Li is PHENOMENAL! This review is long overdue. I first stumbled upon her about 6 years ago when a friend had accidentally scratched off 70% of my cornea (I think 70% was what Dr. Li said) and Urgent Care sent me her way because they couldn't treat me. I am SO glad they did! She is a wonderful optometrist. I was in so much pain and she instantly knew how to treat such a severe case (she put a contact with no Rx in my eye to stop it from fluttering against my eyelid even when it was closed...that alone provided soooo much relief while she did multiple other things to treat/help it heal). I also needed new glasses, so I began using her as my optometrist for my annual exams once my cornea had healed. I was pretty upset when I switched jobs a few years back and they had terrible insurance that Dr. Li didn't take, but now that I'm back on VSP - I've been back with Dr. Li for years! Hoping I never have to leave again because the optometrist I saw when I wasn't able to go to Dr. Li wasn't up to her level...I was not happy with them at all. She is warm and kind and hilarious too. She remembers everything about her patients' jobs, lives, spouses, travels, etc. And she genuinely cares about you & making sure she's doing right by you. Can't recommend her enough! Also, Nester that handles her appts is SUPER nice too! They're both always pleasant & positive to be around! :) I never have to wait long as they are always ready for me at my appt times. Also, I've recently asked to show up 1 hour earlier than my appt time twice due to me being in the area earlier and they've squeezed me in both times. They take their time & don't rush you out the door either. True professionals. read more
