I confirmed an appointment with Roy for July 1, 2026, at 9:00 AM. He had my address and even reconfirmed the appointment by text the day before. During our initial phone call, Roy quoted me $180 for a replacement key. While on that call, he asked me to send a photo of my existing key fob so he knew exactly what I needed. Then, when I confirmed the appointment the day before, he suddenly changed the price to $250, claiming the $180 price was for a key without a remote. We never discussed a non-remote key, and he had already seen a photo of my key fob. I considered canceling at that point, but I didn't want to start over with another locksmith. The next morning, I waited for my 9:00 AM appointment. I texted him and received no response. My messages showed as SMS (green bubbles), so I wondered if his phone was off. At 9:27 AM, I called, and it went straight to voicemail. He never showed up and never contacted me. Around 11:20 AM, Roy started calling me and claimed he had been trying to text me at 9:00 AM. That simply wasn't true. His phone appeared to have been off all morning, and regardless, he already had my address. If he intended to keep the appointment, he could have simply shown up. No call, no text, no courtesy, and then an attempt to shift the blame. That's not how a professional business should operate. Avoid this company. My mother accidentally locked herself out of her home after misplacing both her house key and her vehicle key fob. Her car was unlocked, so she waited there with her dog while waiting for EZ Key Locksmith. The first appointment was well over an hour late, and it took multiple calls just to get updates on when the technicians would arrive. When they finally arrived, they unlocked the house so she could get back inside. They then charged her $500 upfront, broken down on the invoice as: * $50 service call * $50 labor * $200 replacement key * $200 replacement key fob They told us they needed to return to their shop to make and program the replacement key and fob and promised to return by 11:00 p.m. They never came back. After repeated calls, we were told they would arrive by 1:30 a.m. At 12:41 a.m., we received a text saying the technician had a flat tire and would instead arrive by 4:00 a.m. After that, communication stopped. I made numerous calls and sent multiple text messages trying to find out what was happening. When I finally advised them that I would be leaving an honest review if they failed to return, I received a phone call. The caller told me he was "pissed off," said they would not complete the replacement key and key fob service, promised that my mother's $500 would be refunded, and told me not to contact his phone again. As of today, no refund has been issued, and the replacement key and key fob were never provided. We had to hire another locksmith to complete the work. While they did unlock the house, they accepted payment for a replacement key and key fob that they never delivered, promised a refund that never arrived, and then stopped communicating. I used this locksmith once in the past, and after a problem with their tech the owner stepped up. I recently scheduled an appointment to program a new key fob for our Grand Cherokee Summit. The first appointment was for 1pm that got pushed out to 5:30 after waiting around I called and the owner said that he would meet me at 10am the next day, At 10am he was a no show, had to call 3 times and it was one excuse after another, finally around 1:30 a locksmith shows up but not the one that was to meet me. They had farmed it out to another company without any kind of notice to us. After programming the new fob is when I was told that it's an aftermarket even though I requested an OEM. Anyway the fob would not start our jeep, the tech was running late for another appointment so instead of trying to determine what was causing the no start problem he offered a discount on the fob and left. Well, the first cut didn't quite work, as they were a couple of different codes to use for the cutting with kibble difference between them, but the second time worked. I met with Mo at his shop and gave him 3 keys to make copies of. After I texted him my address, he told me he would have the keys ready and deliver them to my home the next day. He gave me a price of $102 total. After waiting the morning and afternoon of the next day, I called him and asked him what time he was coming. He replied that he was on his way. An hour later he did not show and again I called and he said he would stop by when he is in the area later at night. He never showed that day and for the next two weeks I called him daily with him giving me excuses each call for not standing me up continuously. There were times he told me he would send one of his technicians to drop off the keys. I was told to meet him at his shop twice and he never showed up and I was on time. After the first week I told him I just wanted my keys back and he told me he would not charge me and still give me the copies of the keys he said he made. After the next week I finally met with him and got my original keys back. He said the copies he left in his other vehicle that is at a shop and he would get the vehicle back in two days then he would call me to give them to me. He never called me since our last meeting and it has been a month. Even though he didn't charge me this was the most horrible experience I have been through with a company. I originally contacted Mo at EZ Key Locksmith July 27th. Mo is a very unprofessional locksmith who took my money and ran. I would recommend looking for a certified locksmith before going to Mo. *Update the new immobilzer unit that I installed was not aftermarket, it was OEM. You only offered to return my money after I left a publuc yelp review. I had informed Mo my immobilizer unit on my 2005 Honda Civic was damaged, the entire ignition cylinder was replaced and I needed the keys reflashed. Mo was unable to reflash the keys when he arrived and said the replaced immobilizer unit would not work with the machine he brought to make the keys. Mo charged me $ 60 and told me he would return the next day with a different machine that could solve my issue. The next day passed and Mo never showed up. The next day I contacted him seeing what happened and he gave me an excuse that his truck was drilled into and he had to deal with police. He told me he would be there the next night around 8pm. The next day Mo never came. He kept giving me excuses on why he couldnt make it to my house instead of telling me he could not help me. I found the certified locksmiths over at Keyworx who were able to fix my key problem in less than 15 mins. read more

Although the initial service was fantastic I still have a door that they refused to return to repair. In all fairness I believe the company was scared off when my ex tried to subpoena them to court to account for their charges. I also used an individual they recommend it to install my security cameras. Later I discovered individual is bits and pieces of scrap wiring of all different categories for my cameras. Honestly, for the life of me I cannot figure out how this business has even one good review. The owner, and person who fields all the calls, is rude, unprofessional and blames the customer. What kind of customer service is that? I asked a few different locksmiths on Yelp for quotes switching out a deadbolt. I wanted it done but wasn't in an emergency hurry. They got back to me pretty quickly, had reasonable rates, and said they'd come last night. I was pleasantly surprised, but hey, I'll take it! Thought it would be nice to get it out of the way. At nearly two hours (and this is getting close to bed time) I text the number that called me. He said "we don't have anything scheduled with you".... I literally got the call from you that's how I texted the number. When questioned, he said the tech called and scheduled something with me for the next day. So the story has changed. After an exchange back and forth where he essentially blames me, he says he'll be there personally at 10am the following day. Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt I accept and wait for them today to show up at 10am. 11am today. No show. I text again. The owner says "the tech is almost there". 30 minutes later, I text again, "they called you at 10:05, why don't you answer your phone?" EXCUSE ME? No one called me.... and the audacity to blame me, yet again. Several more texts from the owner are all accusatory, rude and extremely unprofessional.
