Bob is a really nice guy. We called him this morning and he came out a little bit after noon. We were interested in adding an additional deadbolt to our door and he found them unnecessary. He stated that our doors were strong enough and he wouldn't add one to his home. What he did do to our current deadbolt lock is he reinforced it with longer screws so they are firmly in the stud. He did that with all the doors to our house otherwise he found that our locks were suffient and safe. He definitely didn't try to upsell us with additional work and only charged us for work that he thought was necessary. He isn't rude, rather he is very straightforward. I have had a problem with my backdoor lock for years. The lock didn't work, the inside bolt was loose and I had lost the keys years ago. I called Bob this morning and he came over shortly. He troubleshot the back door, cutting the bolt pin down to size and re-tooling the locking mechanism until it worked. He quickly addressed the front door, and now I have 1 key that works both the front and back door! Plus, he was nice to my cats! I have gone through Natomas lock and key before to have them rekey my front and side garage door and put another lock on a bedroom door for $200. For coming out to my house this time, I was charged $50 transportation cost and to remove two keys that had broken inside the 2 door locks and to tighten scrrws on the front door I was charged $98.00 total. Ever get your house key stuck in the lock and couldn't get it out? Well... it happens! When a new home tract is built, all the homes have a Master Key for the construction workers. The first time you use your key, the Master Key is no longer good for that property. What I didn't know is there are still some pins in the lock that can move and trap your key in the lock. I've been in my home for 16 years and this just happened. I called Bob due to his YELP! reviews and was not disappointed. He was at my house within 45 minutes and had the job completed in about 15.
