Although I may come back to try the interesting looking cocktails, the food wasn't good enough to draw me back in. We ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai, Crispy Garlic Green Beans, and ended up trying the Thai Herb Salad in place of the Green Papaya Salad that we had wanted, because apparently they only do the papaya salad seasonally, even though it remains on the menu. We didn't care for the Thai Herb Salad. It was mostly just lettuce with very few pieces of herbs in it. The dressing had a very strong fish flavor that we weren't expecting. The Pad Thai, while flavorful, was very soggy. There was a lot of liquid at the bottom of the pot that made the whole dish kind of soupy. It was also very spicy for us - we hadn't been given an option of spice level when ordering, so I'm assuming it comes that way for everyone. The Garlic Green Beans were good, but be prepared for a TON of garlic! It was a bit spicy because of the sheer amount, and I was still tasting it the next day. Probably not what you want to order on a date. The waitstaff were all very nice to us, although our waitress forgot to bring my tea. The ambiance is interesting- I liked the low lighting, the seating arrangement with full view of their bar, and the fact that food is served family style. We ordered: -- Edamame ($5) // I wish these were a bit more seasoned as they just had a lot of salt, but they were a tasty start. -- Crispy Garlic Green Beans ($4) // These were amazing! So glad we got two orders for the table. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, I would eat these any day. -- Stone Bowl Fried Rice w/ Tofu ($14) // Such a cool presentation as this is heated in a sizzling stone bowl and then stirred at the table by the server. It came out really good with crispy pieces of rice on the bottom. I enjoyed it but it definitely could've had deeper flavor for sure. Some more chili, garlic and umami would have made this an A+! -- Tofu Pad Thai ($15) // We got a vegan version of rice noodles with tofu, not sure if it was pad Thai specifically but it was pretty light! Tofu was well seasoned and we liked this dish but it was a little straightforward as well; flavors could be bolder. The cocktails here are fantastic, I tried both The Rolls and Jiro. They were each unique, well-balanced, delicious and seemed well thought out. Would absolutely come back for cocktails. I really appreciated our server being eager to help us find vegan options on the menu as they weren't very well marked. He was able to make quick suggestions and we felt comfortable taking his word for what would taste good. The atmosphere was lively and clean, although they did get a little busy for how many servers they had on toward the end of our meal. We had to wait a while after getting boxes for our check to be brought over. Once again I'm impressed with the Yakima restaurant scene. I read some article about the best restaurants in the state and realized this spot made the list. I visited for lunch and this restaurant is too cool for school! It's modern yet warm, clean, inviting and simply beautiful. Even the restroom downstairs was fancy beyond belief. The waitress was kind enough to explain the menu and intrigued me to try the stone pot fried rice. I also got the pork steamed buns. The rice is similar to a bibimbap. It was good but I like spicy food so I should have asked for sambal or sriracha to kick it up, but it was still a tasty dish. The pork bun was savory, light, and I liked the acid from the pickle. They have excellent service, played Bob Marley and have a wonderful vibe. I look forward to visiting again so I can try more items. read more

I can't tell you how happily my heart skipped when I heard the Snyder family was opening a noodle house. Just take all of my money and give me all of the dumplings. The dining room is beautiful and the culture of dim sum is honored and escalated to a level of sophistication. I had the conundrum rose to start the evening. It was lovely and priced fairly. We had the Dan Dan Noodles and the steamed shrimp and pork dumplings. The Dan Dan was delicious but if you aren't a fan of peanut butter go for the Soba or the EZ Tiger noodles. The steamed pork belly buns are a delight! You will not find steamed pork buns in this style for over 100 miles in any direction. What a treat for the Yakima Valley! The only thing missing are the little Asian ladies pushing the carts around. Also I need to mention that E.Z Tiger was opened in place of Wahluke. The pork belly boas are very good! Boa is fluffy and soft, while the pork belly is cooked properly! The Beijing dumplings are pretty good. The sauce has decent flavor. I think it could benefit from the addition Chinese black vinegar in the sauce and pork (or pork and chicken) inside instead of just chicken, but overall quite good. They also made me a virgin mojito which I was quite happy about. Others in the restaurant asked what the drink was and ordered for themselves too haha. My fiancé and I were visiting Yakima, and we saw some great reviews for this place, so we decided to check it out! This place appears to be new and is very well decorated. They are definitely taking the COVID precaution measures seriously, in which we appreciated. The food was delicious. I was a little disappointed that their "dim sum" menu was very limited. Nonetheless the quality and taste was great! The waitress mentioned they're portion sizes were generous (family size--her words, not mine)... but where we're from... it's considered small. To be fair, their dim sum menu appears to be their appetizers, so it wasn't too bad. We ordered Beijing dumplings, dumplings, papaya salad, pork buns and rib rye steak. The dumplings were all great! The waitress must've forgotten we ordered papaya salad because we had remind her after finishing almost all our food... but it was very fresh and the papaya salad portion was HUGE. It was definitely different than any other papaya salad I've tried... it didn't have a lot of fish sauce (which my fiancé doesn't like) so he was able to enjoy it as well! Rib eye steak was cooked medium-well, and it tasted great, but was on little bit of saltier side for my taste. Food: my husband's pho was lukewarm, and we had to send it back to be heated up. The broth was not flavorful (I have made it at home from scratch and it was much better). The poke bowl was good. The green papaya salad was excellent. The steamed pork belly bun my husband enjoyed, I greatly disliked texture. For dessert he had the apple and champagne sorbet which was moderate to OK, I had the coffee ice cream and Thai coffee cake which was very, very dense. Flavors were ok. Service: I have never felt so hustled out of a restaurant in my entire life!! After receiving appetizers, our waitress asked us if we wanted anything else - um, how about some entrées?? After our meals, we asked for the menu again to order some desserts (because they were apparently out of mango for the mango sticky rice... Even though there was mango in my poke bowl...). We then had a different server come and hand us our check, saying he was told that we were "done". It was NOT busy, there were at least 10 open tables, so it's not like we were holding anyone up. Reservations: we wanted something closer to 7 PM, but on Open Table there were no reservations after 6 PM, so I assumed they must be very, very busy. Now I must say everything I got was delicious my beef wasn't with the food but the cost of tiny portions. Online there was several different menus that priced the pork belly bao bun at 4.50 & 5.00 for one or 3 for 12.00 which I thought was bad enough but when I placed my order it was 8.00 which I assumed was for 2. It wasn't it was only one and they are tiny with one piece of pork belly for 8.00! To start this place is one of the hidden gems in Yakima. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous. From the open kitchen to the understated bar this place (even the bathrooms) are nice. I love the outdoor sitting area and how the layout moves so well from the interior to exterior sitting areas. Wait staff are really helpful, food is served family style and the portions typically serve to people. The food is visually appealing from the drinks, starter menu and all of the main dishes. However, the chairs at the large tables in the center of the dining area were metal and very small. Comfortable only to the smallest of derrières. In addition, our table was very very small and was unable to accommodate my keys, wallet, appetizer, water and beverage glasses, and plates for two. The issue was magnified by the delivery of our main course. The tables were so close together we couldn't hear our conversation over the others at the tables to either side of us.
