This time the guy was kind of irritated or something, he kind of gave me the impression that he did not want to be there. I brought gold and silver, and he never explained what anything was. I thought that some of it me not have been pure silver or pure gold, but he never explained it to me he just kind of threw the stuff back in my direction. If my last encounter had not been so good, I wouldn't be saying any of this. But don't get me wrong the guy was not all that bad. He wasn't a total ass, just a little bit. But I love this store, I love the experiences I've had. It's a lot easier going there than it is to what I imagine a pawn shop would be. Thank you very much to all of you.

I was ready to pay at least $30, as that was the estimate given to me, but they completely waived charging me simply because I had to wait (not even 10 minutes) to be seen and helped. This was no fault of their own, they were pretty busy which is so nice to see. I tried paying, believe me, as I didn't see my waiting as reason not to charge me. The gentleman that helped me was so gracious and kind, I will forever remember his act of kindness today. I just wish I'd gotten his name! Today I decided to try again and I went to Archangel and dealt with Chris. Talk about a day and night difference. Everyone was friendly in the store, Chris didn't make me feel rushed or pressured. He went through my whole coin collection which the other place didn't do. He was very patient with me and answered all my questions regardless how silly they were. This seems like a family run business with lots of repeat customers who like to chat. Not only did I feel like I got a fair deal, but I actually had a pleasant time while I was there. While looking through a box of coins, my father mistakenly began examining a box that was apparently awaiting appraisal. The box was unattended, and he believed it was available for customers to browse. As soon as an employee informed him of the mistake, my father immediately stopped and apologized. Unfortunately, the situation did not end there. The employee raised his voice to my father in front of other customers and staff and continued to berate him even after he had apologized multiple times. What could have been resolved with a simple explanation instead became a public confrontation. My father is a 76-year-old disabled veteran, and the continued hostility was upsetting enough that he began experiencing symptoms related to PTSD and felt he needed to leave the store. We left immediately and will not return. My father made an honest mistake, acknowledged it immediately, and apologized. He did not deserve to be treated with disrespect. We have always had positive experiences at other coin shops where we were treated with professionalism, courtesy, and respect. Unfortunately, our experience here was the exact opposite.
