They were flexible with us as we had to reschedule due to weather, and had several complicated moves that were handled very well. As with any move, we took care ourselves to wrap things, communicate our needs and expectations, but I would do that with any mover. Ask questions, clarify and explain what you want. All furniture was wrapped carefully with moving blankets and secured and all breakables were treated with care. I've never seen a team of people work so hard!

But then after putting in our claim on damages with ample proof of damages, and also our honest review, my wife received a call from one of the movers asking us to take down the poor review because they would get in trouble with the owners. Now I'm wondering goes on behind the scenes because the good reviews seems much more shady now. How many other reviews got asked to be taken down? They got the move done and did it relatively quick given the difficulty. The price was rather high given the quality of work completed. And given how quick they were to request us to take a poor review down to me deserves an even poorer review. Honestly, if they had taken accountability right away to the damages I would have felt better about a simple 3 star review. I can't in good conscience recommend Zip Moving and Storage.

The place is neat, clean and well organized. Wasn't overly crowded and they had everything I needed in stock. I love their policy of buying back any packing boxes that you end up not needing. Now they charge $2.99 for the first BW page of anything, which is insane. Other UPS stores within 2 miles of this location charge between $0.33 and $0.40 per page. But the MOST insane thing happened today when I tried to ship a 1-pound package to London and they told me the cheapest option was $375! Needless to say I took my package and left. I went home and logged on to PirateShip.com and entered the requisite information, and it produced UPS international options ranging from $29.07 to $59.64 to get my package to London by Thursday. I will never return to this store unless I am dropping off a package that already has a prepaid label affixed to it, though I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to charge me for that, as well.
