A heads-up for anyone considering the new EOS Fitness on Cactus Rd in Surprise. This location took about five months to open after the "coming soon" signs went up. I waited patiently rather than joining elsewhere. It finally opened May 15 -- and the way it's being run since has been disappointing. My biggest concern is sanitation. I use the cold plunge and sauna twice a day. The cold plunge water level has been low, and the hot tub has what looks like black mold built up along the sides. I told a staff member walking the area. The next day I took photos and showed them at the front desk -- I was told the hot tub was "waiting on a part" and that a supervisor would be called to inspect and clean it. Two days later, nothing has been cleaned or fixed. On top of that, they sold a $10/month towel service and then ran out of towels, telling members it would be restocked "next week." I've tried to be patient and raise these things politely in person. Posting the photos here so the community is aware and so the company actually sees what's happening at this location. I'd genuinely like to see it fixed -- mold in a wet area used by members every day is not something that should sit for days. @EOS Fitness -- please address the hot tub and cold plunge at the Surprise / Cactus Rd location. read more

I have called and cancelled my membership, the next month I'm still getting calls everyday/charges. I come in person and get harassed by a man circling the parking lot on a scooter. Asked him to leave me alone over 5 times. I walk in inform the front desk and they all acted like they knew the guy and didn't do anything. I'm there to cancel my membership in person because the last person on the phone failed to do so. He cancels my membership (supposedly) I leave, get harassed by the man circling the parking lot again (clearly just harassing woman) I call the front desk immediately before leaving the parking lot and they do nothing again. This is hardly one month later now and I'm STILL getting calls everyday saying I need to pay for my membership!? The membership I have cancelled twice in two months because now two people it seems failed to cancel my membership?? I call this morning, a young lady who I think is named Jan (idk she mumbled so much I couldn't understand a word) I had her repeat herself 4 times it seemed like she was lying about her name?? That's weird. She said the manager may or may not be here at 9am. Well I know I will be there waiting. I want all my information deleted I don't want messages and phone calls everyday for a gym membership I've cancelled TWICE now and the workers have FAILED to cancel it. Sneaky company do not trust. ** WARNING ** UNSAFE. UNPROFESSIONAL. UNSANITARY. Do not attend this gym .. Situation 1: Someone was able to access & unfreeze my account without my permission. When I addressed the situation with the night manager , I was brushed off & told well we can't prove it's you sooo .. sorry you'll be getting charge $25 tomorrow. How can someone properly unfreeze someone else's account? When I try to resolve the situation there's no ID PICTURE on file?! Which I was told it's required when signing up... Yet, I was signed up by a manger?? I am genuinely afraid for others security .. My bank accounts linked up to my membership but anyone can access it?! So many questions?? so many broken laws... Situation #2 : Managers putting others at risk with zero supervision at check in. The fact anyone can just walk in without scanning is kinda alarming to me as a member. My wife has even brought to my attention that weirdos just walk in without any permission and start working out .. or have sat by the hot tub fully dressed with a ski mask on just watching girls making it uncomfortable. This a very serious issue as the gym should uphold a safe environment for FEMALES. I routinely attend this gym frequently. Do not have a set schedule which makes it easier to come in all sorts of times in the day. Every once in a while I will use the hot tub or massage chairs but 95% of the time they are not functioning properly. I am paying my membership consistently & on time .. but consistently not allowed to use the features that are advertised on black card membership. Especially if anyone can just walk in without properly checking in? Not understanding the contract upheld on eos end at this point? Being unsafe & not up to standards. Let me know how you would like to address these matters. As someone who's attended this gym for over 6 years would love to hear of a resolution. Update: The district operations manager has not properly handled these issues and has passed me off to the gyms on site operations manager. We have been coming to EOS for about 5months now and we wanted a trainer. We started with one trainer then he left and got us another named Angel Canales, very cool guy and pushes my wife and I to keep going ! I highly recommend asking for him if you need a trainer. Most of the trainers there seem very good though, don't think you can go wrong! Clean place, nice staff! read more

This gym had so much potential when it first opened it was top tier. Now just a few years in it's dirty, overcrowded and is poorly maintained. The staff is friendly but they don't keep the gym clean. The paper towels dispensers are always broken or empty. There's always trash in the water bottle holders on the treadmills and stair master. The equipment is dirty over. read more

I use the Kids' Club service at the Litchfield & Waddell EOS location twice a week and my 4-year-old son LOVES it! He always asks to go to the gym. The staff is always friendly and the facilities are clean. Most importantly, my son has a great time when he's there. Highly recommend! read more

This gym has great equipment and lots of it. It is always very clean and organized. The staff is always very welcoming and helpful. I love how modern the inside looks. It's a very nice Gym!. The only downside is how busy it gets during certain times but I do like how large the parking lot is it helps with finding a spot most of the time without an issue, if you live close by and you're not afraid of crowded gyms, this would be a great spot and you get a lot of bang for your buck with these membership prices read more

The EoS Litchfield location is amazing. The equipment and gym overall are always clean and organized. The staff has always gone out of their way to help me to the best of their abilities. This location has very spread out layout and a great outdoor area that is shaded for most of the day. I've been doing training sessions with Ryan Hamilton and he's been exemplary. Ryan always has fresh workouts for every session, never a repeated or dull routine. Along with fun conversation, Ryan is always sharing his knowledge on everything fitness and health in general. I would highly recommend locking in training sessions with Ryan. read more

Unfortunately, as a long time member of another gym, I figured I'd give this place a try. I came in for one workout and realized not only could I not find a single treadmill, but it was more of a teenager. Hang out there was literally teenagers hanging out in the center of the place just sitting down talking I felt like I was in high school so it wasn't for me. I called him to cancel. He said they still need to charge me my yearly membership. I complained a little, and when all was said and done, a manager said they would waive the fee for me in faith of doing good business and cancel my account Fast forward a week or two and they tried to charge my account the 60 something dollar fee when I called and somebody explained to me that that is their policy that they have to charge me for it and I explained how a manager told me they were going to waive it. I asked for the general managers phone number they said they don't give out phone numbers and email is the only way to reach them. Upon sending an email and not hearing anything back I then saw a few days later , they tried to charge my card again with a late fee so now it's up to 80 something dollars and I still haven't heard back from the manager. For the record my card is locked as I'm using a different account now. Finally, I called in to speak to somebody at corporate. They told me there are no phone numbers to anybody at corporate the only way to reach any of them is email and of course I'm sitting here thinking the only way to reach them is sending an email and hoping that they'll call you back? This is absolutely ridiculous . We run a local business in the area and I'll be sure to let everybody know what a terrible business model this place has. Sticking with my old gym and going to do my best to let everybody know about my experience because at this point, I still have not heard from any form of management. if you are under 20 years old, you might enjoy this place but my recommendation is to try another place like Mountainside fitness or something of that nature if you're looking for more of a family oriented place not a teenager hang out. read more

The gym is really nice and clean, but honestly what's kept me there is that I LOVE the childcare! I love how by day 2 they all memorized my girls names. The staff does not change every single day which is very reassuring as a parent when it comes to wanting to drop your kids off somewhere every day. The childcare is a huge reason why I have left previous gyms and I am grateful I found this gym with the daycare staff it has. It's refreshing to see a company not just hire a bunch of 16 year old girls, it seems as though the staff is the same every single day, all day. read more

This review is for EOS KIDS CLUB. I recently joined this gym to work on myself as a stay at home mom. I have never left my kids with anyone other than grandparents so I was pretty nervous. Holly and Rhytlee have been lifesavers! My daughter cried every single time I would drop them off and want to be held the entire time and I just felt so bad for them, that I was only doing 30 minute sessions. They were so patient with her and never complained about it and now my daughter absolutely loves going. She walks right in without looking back. My son loves playing with all the children and tells me stories every single time I pick them up. All the ladies that take care of the children are so sweet and I can tell they love what they do. Thank you for your patience and helping my kids get comfortable being away from me for an hour so I can work on myself. read more

I'm writing this review regarding my experience and displeasure with the personal trainers at this particular location. I joined EOS Fitness back in July. I signed up to work with a personal trainer 2x a month. Beginning of August, my work schedule had changed and I could only work with a personal trainer on Saturday mornings. The trainer who I was working with kindly referred me to another trainer. The past two times, my training session was canceled by the trainer I was scheduled to work with. I was charged for that session. I don't understand why I was charged for something when I wasn't the one who canceled. I was scheduled to meet/work with the same trainer two weeks later as scheduled. For some unforeseen reason, the trainer never showed up. There was never a call or email regarding the cancellation. I again set up another personal training session with a different trainer. I worked with him Saturday September 2nd as scheduled. We made another appointment for the following week which was September 9th at 7am. He was a no show that morning. There was never a call or text message regarding any cancellation. I'm turned off about the lack of communication and follow through with employees. When I inquire about why these trainers are not showing up when I have a scheduled appointment, I get the run around as each employee has a different answer as to why there was some type of mix-up. I'm currently being charged for a service that I'm not receiving. I reached out to the district operations manager a few days before posting this review. Worst experience EVER! My family and I are on vacation here in Surprise, Arizona and wanted to try out EOS. Yesterday 05/14 the lady who helped us was very kind and welcoming. Prior to going we signed up for 7 day free pass offered online. Today 05/15 the lady at front desk black hair and glasses was very rude. Before anything she addressed us with an attitude very unwelcoming "scan on this side." We waited since we did not have barcodes to scan. After that she just looked at us confused and I told her we signed up for a 7 day pass online. She went into an office spoke to a gentleman then came out and said rudely "where's your Arizona ID." We explained we are on vacation and we attended the gym the previous day. She then rudely said "who helped you." We explained we did not get her name. Rudely told us "no you can't use the pass." Didn't offer a day pass or anything. My family and I regularly attend the gym Gold's Gym specifically never have we been treated like this. What a scam. I was told I would get one month free with $1 down. I was charged 14 days later. I was also told I could cancel if I wasn't satisfied with the gym, tried to cancel and was still charged. They signed me up over the phone so I never signed a contract. Said they are refunding me but haven't seen a dime back. Over $100 was taken from my checking account. I went there 3 times and the classes are bad quality and don't fit with my schedule. They will steal your money, just stay away. read more

My gay son and I just changed gyms from planet fitness and we were a little nervous to leave our judgment free zone. To our surprise, there's nothing intimidating about this bigger gym. The staff are nice and helpful, the bathrooms are clean, and the equipment is all brand new. This gym is much busier than our last gym but so far it hasn't been too much of a problem. We love the extra company in the sauna. One regular we typically see is a young sprout named Blaise cosentino. He is always so friendly and talkative. We love getting warm and sweaty with such a big handsome boy. Both my son and I look forward to getting fit and toned with our friends at EOS. read more

I am so close to canceling my membership! I was overcharged a couple hundred dollars and it practically took an act of congress to get the money back! I ended up having to call Capital One and have them file a case! Also, the Surprise location (Litchfield & Waddell) is the WORST! They don't clean at all. I mean ZERO cleaning! The men's locker room and restroom haven't been cleaned in at least weeks! It's really bad! The employees stand around and do NOTHING! That gym should smell like BLEACH constantly! NEW, They just added a Cryo Lounge (cryotherapy beds). Amazing. Missing are benches in the pool area. Attending water fit classes are crowded and having to put your belongings on the floor is unsanitary and they don't care. read more

This gym is just terrible. The staff here is very unprofessional and really don't care about their job. The guy who signed me up entered a wrong email and phone number for me. He signed me up with two memberships and totally tried to game the system because they receive an incentive for signing people up. This was concerning. I have not been able to get logged into the app. None of the employees can help troubleshoot and just give me the run around. Zero problem solving skills and bad attitude. The manager Chris and district manager Derek have yet to respond to my email addressing the bad experience I've had here. The staff needs some serious training. After not hearing back from management, it really makes sense now why this place lacks ethical and good work culture. It's 100% due to poor management. read more

How the **** are you out of towels at 5AM?!? I don't care if your order didn't come in yesterday! Send someone down to the ******* laundromat so that people coming to the gym can shower and not get in their cars sopping ******* wet! Completely lazy and disrespectful of people who pay for your towel service! That's not even counting the fact that the sauna's regularly out of commission for weeks at a time, and things are routinely broken for long periods (ie half the sinks have no water pressure and one has been broken for at least 2 weeks!). To top it all off, this place has been open for less than a year! Management should be embarrassed. read more

I hate this gym. To start it off, yesterday, February 27th, 2024, I walked into the gym for the first time in two months. I had a shoulder injury that was sport related and was restricted from lifting per doctor recommendation. So, like a person with common sense would, I didn't pay my membership for two months because why in the world would I pay for something I'm not using? It would simply be a waste of money. So, yesterday, I walk into the gym ready to be back and get lifting and I was already expecting having to pay 10-24 dollars since I didn't pay my membership. Instead, they wanted me to pay $107. So, I asked why, and very rudely (as always) they say "Oh, well you haven't payed in two months" so I ask why it's $107 and not $20 behave I had the classic subscription. They then were no help and wouldn't explain why I have to pay $80 more than I should have had to pay. I told them I'm not paying that simply because if I wanted an expensive gym membership, then I would be going to mountain side. The MANAGER whom I was speaking to then replied with "see you never then" in and asshole-like tone. On top of all this, this gym is disgusting. The environment is terrible. People don't wipe their shit down after working out, the sauna smells of body ordor and there is always ridiculous amounts of sweat on the benches, the men's bathroom smells of actual shit ALL THE TIME, it is common that equipment is broken and not flagged, and the employees suck. I have had a nit so good experience with EOS. I thought to try eos fir the 7 days trial. After 2 days I needed to wait, so I texted back the sales person to cancel after 2 days. His reply was, let me know when you are ready. I noticed that a month later my account was charged The annual fee. I have been calling for 2 weeks now with no response from the site general manager Jose. I felt my information to be contacted. I feel like I am being ignored. Again called today and he Jose isn't in or available. Now it's time to call corporate. What the heck!! read more

The only reason I'm giving a 5 is because of the Dance Party class specifically. I've never utilized the fitness equipment at this location given that it's extremely overcrowded for a regular gym session. However, I have truly enjoyed the fitness classes including Dance Party, Pop Pilates and Cycle. Kenya W runs Dance Party and if it was anyone else I don't think it would be nearly as fun! She has such great energy and is the reason I look forward to Wednesdays! If it weren't for the classes, I wouldn't have this membership. read more

Use to be my favorite EŌS to go to. It has quickly deteriorated in last 10-12 months. Equipment is in poor shape especially the recovery rooms. They're a joke. Staff doesn't enforce their rules and a lot of the issues stem from that. People use and abuse the equipment as well as the locker room. I hope they get new management and hold staff and gym users accountable for their actions. read more

I am so disappointed with this Eos I've been going to Eos for years I switched from Mountainside Fitness and have never had any problems until today I was working out and using a machine and stepped away to use the machine next to it and some guy kicked me off of it even though all my stuff was there and I tell him I was using it and he said I left so I lost my machine and that he had priority because he's a bodybuilder and I said no I'm using the machine he then said I left so he was going to use it and that he had priority because he was a bodybuilder and called me a P***y I went to the front desk and asked for the manager and I told the manager what happened he then described the person like this had happened before more than once he goes to the guy and tells him he can't be kicking people off machines and the guy said I left and that he took it over and they manager said that he can't be doing that the guy continues to keep talking nonsense and called me a P***y multiple times the manager walked away and the guy continued to talk trash and then starts telling the people at the machine next to mine and starting with them when I was leaving the guy that was talking trash and kicked me off the machine was at the front desk talking to the manager like they were friends this is nonsense Eos this guy should not have a membership with Eos I have never had a problem before and now I don't know if I want to continue have a membership with Eos I'm thinking about going back to mountainside fitness read more

Staff and maintenance workers are amazing. Gym is always clean, and they have great equipment and amenities.

I've been training with Ryan Hamilton since March 2023 and it's the best training experience I've had. He pushes me when I need to be pushed and I've accomplished things I never thought I could physically do. Ryan will encourage you and cheer on your successes and holds you accountable when needed as well. If you want a true partner in changing your fitness journey, Ryan Hamilton is your guy! I am a post-menopausal woman and I started with EoS in December. In January I started working with Ryan Hamilton and it has made a huge difference. In the past I have gotten frustrated by not seeing results and given up. The Evolt body scanner is so helpful in demonstrating how my body is reshaping itself, proving that what I am doing is working! Ryan is knowledgeable, patient, and really listens to his clients. I have also been pleasantly surprised by the overall gym "culture" at EoS. At other gyms I felt intimidated, judged, or unwanted in certain areas of the gym which made it unpleasant to work out. I have had a wonderful experience so far at EoS. Other clients are kind, respectful, and often helpful if you have questions. This has also made a huge difference in my health journey. It is encouraging me to keep going, keep pushing, and for once I am actually ENJOYING going to the gym. I never thought I would say that. My one criticism would be the paper towel dispensers. It seems like there are certain stations that are constantly out of paper towels which can be rather annoying when you are trying to quickly wipe down equipment so someone else can use it. read more
