I personally have avoided the Gym rat trainer, because I feel like they only know how to show me what has worked for them, and will blame me and not be able to help me if I get hurt. Imagine my surprise when my trainer stops his planned workout to address a chronic shoulder issue, and then tailors my workout for the next few sessions to accommodate for it! The training sessions are always unique, and can include, cross fit, self defense, kickboxing and more! The trainer's are top notch, and the workouts are tailored to your needs and interests. I have learned so much, and I am achieving my goals.

He is ALWAYS on time and his staff is also wonderful with scheduling, etc. He will learn your limits and strengths as you train and push you as hard as he knows YOU can go. He switches up your routine constantly so you never get bored or tired of the same old thing. He's also a genuinely good person and cares about his athletes. You won't be just another client passing through. Danny is not only a trainer with an impressive background, he is a motivator and an inspiration. The staff is always welcoming, and the overall community here is truly something special. I've been an Orangetheory Fitness member for nearly 12 years and have visited over 125 studios across the country due to frequent work travel--and I can confidently say Coach Joan is the best, hands down. She immediately made me feel at home at the Tempe studio, always offers thoughtful modifications for my injuries, and genuinely loves what she does. Her energy is infectious in the best possible way. Whether you're visiting from out of town or looking to start a new fitness routine, I highly recommend this studio. Give the front desk a call--they'll take great care of you!

I like them equally since every OTF I've been to in state, and in other states, are set up similarly so you can just hop into any gym and get a great workout. This Tempe location is conveniently located on Guadalupe Rd near 101, in the Fry's shopping center. There's always parking, the instructors are great, and the staff is friendly. I will complain about one thing, and this isn't related to this OTF location itself but the OTF policies in general, I just placed a 30 day freeze on my account, I'll be traveling out of the country for almost a month. I was told there is $15 freeze fee, which I think is pretty lame. It's not like I could use my classes if I wanted to, so charging me to freeze just seems gratuitous. But that is corporate, capitalist America for you. I don't agree with this fee, but I'm not bothered enough to stop working out here. And OTF knows that. Anyway. OTF Tempe is great otherwise.

Beware! Extremely Pushy and Disrespectful Communication…read more on Sunday, 8/24/25 I showed some initial interest in their $79 deal online and almost immediately regretted it. Within five minutes, I received two phone calls, a voicemail from Ashley and a text message. I was busy at the time and didn't respond right away--yet about an hour later, they texted me again. I politely let them know I'd stop by on Thursday and requested that any communication happen between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Despite this clear boundary, they texted me again the following night at 9:30 p.m.--waking me up in the process--just to "follow up." This behavior felt invasive. It's incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful of people's time, and ultimately pushy to the point of discomfort. Because of how aggressively they pursued me, I've decided not to move forward with them. I do not recommend doing business with a company that doesn't respect basic communication boundaries. Completely distasteful experience. **Update - 8/26/25 Alicia Pretzer has now contacted me from a different phone number, after I explicitly asked to be removed from their system last night. I then called Alicia and expressed to her very clearly that this is harassment and she needs to stop contacting me. If this behavior persists, I will have no choice but to pursue legal action. I strongly urge others to be cautious--if you're just seeking information, be aware that you may be subjected to ongoing harassment.

Disappointed with Burn Boot Camp's Customer Service/Policies…read more I was really excited to try Burn Boot Camp after being an Orange Theory member for several years. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. I signed a 6-month contract, but about a month in, I became unexpectedly ill and wasn't able to work out. I notified the gym, but it didn't matter, they continued to charge me and sent generic "we miss you" emails, which felt very impersonal given the situation. I accepted that I'd still need to pay out the rest of my contract, lesson learned. However, when my 6 months ended, they automatically rolled me into a month-to-month plan without my consent. I called and emailed to cancel, but got no response. After following up multiple times and forwarding my original email, someone finally replied and said I needed to fill out a separate cancellation request form. The entire process felt intentionally difficult. The lack of communication, empathy, and transparency was frustrating. Burn Boot Camp makes it very hard to cancel and doesn't seem to value customer service at all. I definitely would not recommend joining unless you're 100% certain you'll never need to cancel or pause your membership.

Unfortunately, they had to get rid of the basketball court back in April this year after it became a liability with some guys in there getting in fights. It has since been replaced with more workout equipment. Even without the basketball court, I still use the medicine ball to do shooting motions so I can stay ready whenever I do play basketball. They have a wide selection of equipment for the price you pay. While some of the equipment is a little older than other locations, this is the main location I come to because it is the closest EOS to where I live. They recently added some more modern equipment, which is pretty cool. Another reason I enjoy EOS is its friendly staff. Whenever they are not busy, I enjoy having friendly conversations with them about life and other things, and they always ask me what day it is at the gym. No matter the day, I take every day in the gym seriously, but I also make sure to have fun with it. EOS Fitness is an excellent choice for a gym with great equipment at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

It was charging five dollars a month.. Those five dollars fees were returned by my bank and when I looked at the statements were charging me (2) $36 overdraft fee for each one. They show you how insensitive they are the receptionist Jessica told me proudly what they were declined. Don't even give a damn about my situation and I'm standing there with two rods in my back limp in there. I had to come back the following week so that the $15 were clear so I can use the gym so I want the whole month of June when I should be in their rehab clearing up this BS they disrespectful they don't care EOS they sucks. I hope they go out of business To make a long story short, I put my account on hold for three months back in February with EOS. I was unaware it was charging me $5 dollars a month. They didn't tell me that while I was in recovery. I was unaware of $15. I paid the $15 10!days ago thinking that everything was OK. But for whatever reason they come up with these charges, they came out to $49.99 with the $15 total $65!! EOS is giving me a credit for $25. I needed the refund money.
