The pizza shop is off of a tiny parking lot by other business on the avenue. It was very welcoming. When you walk in there is a deli and slices available. Staff greeted us immediately and was very cordial. We settled on a few pre made slices and garlic knots. The chicken bacon was on red sauce and had ranch on the side. I'm not familiar with the sliced made that way but none the less it was a taste sensation. The white slice was a perfect blend of cheese which can be rare to find. The margarita pizza was a fun blend of goodness. All the dough was met somewhere in the middle of too under cooked and over done. The crust was perfect. The garlic knots were very oily but still satisfied the palate in the oily, garlicky greatness. I would definitely stop by again and try other slices as well as entrees. The shop was super clean, the seating area was quaint and the restroom very updated and clean. The cost of 4 slices and 6 knots was $20 so that was a fantastic delight on my wallet. Service was very fast, placed my order in no time and they said 15 wait and it was just that. Always appreciate up front service, even when slow like it was when I visited. Shrimp marinara was very good, large size plump shrimp cooked just right. Tangy, sweet and savory marinara sauce and plenty of it, angel hair just right, definitely a full meal. For the grandma slice, just right amount of cheese and tomato and not littered with fresh basil. I do enjoy that slice was cooked just right with a blistered crust and no burnt char. We ordered food to go, which we picked up ourselves. I ordered the chicken Scarpariello with a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce. My husband ordered the stuffed chicken Parmesan dinner. First of all, I should've looked at the menu because most places put potatoes in their scarpariello but they did not. The chicken pieces were so overcooked I could barely cut into them and just so very dry. I think they could improve on freshening up their sauce. My husband's dish was just OK. It was a piece of chicken with a piece of ham and a slice of cheese. There was no love in these dishes at all. I was really hoping to like this place because someone had mentioned it to us. I really like F and J. Super convenient location and they have great pie. Have not had anything else on the menu though it looks like they also have a small deli counter. Be careful ordering through GrubHub and UberEats as their system makes it so they sometimes have trouble "finding" your order. Small dining room is clean and well lit. We were there yesterday for Mother's Day, but the dining room was so frigidly cold that it was uncomfortable to eat there. We asked the young woman behind the counter to possibly turn down the a/c, but she said she "didn't know how, and besides, the owner would not let them touch it". I was told it comes one size, this is the pizza roll.... Which is not a Stromboli. So last night we ordered from F&J's. Three pies, they got the order wrong - they gave us a plain instead of the meatball we paid for- so we called them to let them know. They said they could deliver it in 45 minutes. That was too long we had a house full of people. So they said 20 minutes and we said that was fine. Well, 50 minutes later, they showed up and wanted the plain pie back. My niece told them it was gone. The driver said "ok" and left. They called us later on and said that because of an incident their driver had with us not returning the pie, they will no longer deliver to us and we should please not order from them anymore. First of all, we've been going there for over 20 years. Second of all, it was THEIR mistake, third, they said 20 minutes and didn't show up until almost one hour later! They should have been apologizing to us! I will not only no longer give them any business but I will spread the word about their bad business practices. I wasn't going to write anything but after seeing I'm not the only one that had such a shitty customer service experience I figure I might as well. New to the area and had our friends and family helping us move in today. Ordered two pizzas wings and a salad. Went over the order with the gentlemen on the phone. When I went to pick up the items the girl with a puss on her face brought me one pizza and two bags (the salad and wings) I told her I had ordered two pies she tells me I did not. I said I did in fact I went over the order with the gentlemen over the phone. She insisted I did not order two pies. I said okay how long to make another plain pie she tells me she doesn't know and walks away to the back and doesn't return until other customers come in and she comes up takes their order and hasn't acknowledged my question still. I then ask her how much for another six slices after she is done helping the two customers. SHE WALKS AWAY AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! I really wanted to ask for my receipt back to cross out the tip I had left but instead I said have a nice day and walked out. Sucks because the pizza we did actually get was good. But there isn't a chance we'll be going back there. read more
