Recently moved to the area and have been looking for real NYC pizza. Have been very disappointed in Walden do I decided to continue my search in the next town over. After trying Vic's my search is over! This place is amazing! The pizza reminds me of the city with nicely flavored sauce, not cheap on the cheese & just the perfect amount of crust! I ordered a pie for the kids and a shrimp parm hero for myself and I am not disappointed in the least. Pictures of both attached. You can tell there using fresh ingredients and the wait was very short. The lady working the front along with the owner (who made our pizza) were pleasant from the moment I walked in. Even discovered we live in the same neighborhood so I know they deliver to my part of Walden (yes)!! Overall if you haven't figured it out yet, I highly recommend this place for take out or even to sit down & dine in. They have a cute little restaurant section.

    Meat lovers pizza

Know that they charge 4 1/2 percent plus a dollar to use a card. $26 for a specialty pie is too much.

First and last time here. I bought two slices. They were stale. Crust was hard, sauce was bland and cheese was a little too salty.

The restaurant is under new ownership. The food is still great. And the people treat you with kindness and respect. Love them!

Let me start with that panzerotto, because it deserves its own paragraph. This is the kind of dish you would have to fly to Italy to find, and somehow Cascarino's is making it right here. It was the single best thing I ate, and I am still thinking about it. The grandma pie was phenomenal, perfectly crisp on the bottom, pillowy inside, with that beautiful golden crust that so few places actually nail. The regular pizza held its own too, with solid sauce, great cheese pull, and a crust that had real character. But what ties it all together is the ownership. This is a true owner-operated spot, and you feel it in every detail, the care in the kitchen, the warmth at the counter, the consistency in every bite. When the owner is on site, this place is firing on all cylinders. Five star service, no question. And order the rice ball, packed with cheese and meat and hotttt out of the oven. Cascarino's is, without a doubt, the best pizza and Italian food restaurant in the area. It is worth the drive. I have made it twice in two weeks and am already thinking about a third trip.

The pizza still has that solid NY-style crunch, good flavor, and plenty of topping options. Whether grabbing a quick slice or ordering from the full menu, the food is consistently well-prepared and hits the mark. What really stands out is the consistency. The owner clearly takes pride in the operation, the kitchen stays on point, and the staff keeps things moving. It's not easy to maintain quality over time, but Cascarino's has managed to do exactly that. Pizza Beast Verdict: Still one of the most reliable pizza spots in the area. Great slices, solid menu, and a place I keep coming back to for a reason. Rating: 5/5 Beast Slices

Their pizza is one of the very best pies we have had anywhere; excellent crust, tomato sauce and oh my that cheese! Seldom do you get a pie where the tomato sauce has not been masked or at the very least, minimized by the cheese. Amalfi manages to give you a pizza that is a well balanced symphony of ingredients. My meatball sausage, fresh mushroom, green pepper with onion Cacciatore Parmagian was other worldly. Even the Field Greens Salad with Raspberry Walnut Vinegarette was a stand out, stand up take notice beginning to our meal. Phil, our server, could not have done better and his recommendation for wine was picture perfect. This little Italian Resto is a gem and worth a drive from almost anywhere especially if you wish to rekindled those very special memories you had when having Sunday dinners at your Nonna's.

My friend placed a pickup order and I brought home the special - Deal 2 (large pizza, baked ziti, large salad, garlic bread) plus a side of calamari to split. Asked around, got agreement to add sausage and eggplant toppings, plus we spiced it up (hot pepper, garlic, touch of pepper) before we left. Pizza: Thin crust, I could have eaten more than the 2.7 slices as we split the pie evenly among three people. Toppings are generous and taste great. Good sauce and the right balance with cheese. Baked ziti: Poor friends usually have this saved for next day. With me around, it wasn't gonna last. I indulged in this cheesy pasta goodness. Salad: OK, it's salad. We added balsamic vinagrette dressing but didn't check when we left and got a second French dressing instead. That's about the only flaw for Franco's, and that happens anywhere. Garlic bread came with some marinara. Drenched in sauce but still had a little crispness to it. If I wanted it extra crispy I could have pan-seared it, but at least it wasn't droopy. Calamari: Quite good. It had gotten a little cold by the time I was able to dive in, but if I ordered that fresh at the restaurant I bet it would be amazing hot out of the oven. For the short time I was inside, I looked around and it's a nice casual pizza joint, plenty of room to sit around, plenty of dine-ins, and a second room behind. So Franco's is a Walden joint I will recommend to all in town.
