Scheduling with Kevin was really easy and clear (he sends an email confirmation of the scheduled date and time). When they arrived, they both had masks on, and also asked if they needed to remove their shoes (i appreciate being asked). They worked studiously on the fireplace, setting up a tarp down and were thorough, even noticing the chip on the facade which they fixed for us. Daniel and Jose came out to install our fireplace insert that we purchased from the Firehouse in Livermore. They were amazing! Daniel pointed out some major safety concerns that were overlooked by our contractor, and refused to install the unit until our contractor came back out and fixed the issues. I cannot say how nice it was to work with someone with such integrity. Our contractor said he would fix the issues the next morning. Daniel left me his card and said to call him once the contractor was done, and that he would come back out the next day after he finished all of his previously scheduled work. Our fireplaces have not been serviced in years and one of them was not working properly. Communication with them was seamless as they use an app that automatically sends text messages about appointment confirmations, estimates, etc. At one point I did leave a v-mail with a question and as promised on the v-mail I received a call that evening. Once they arrived they got two of the three fireplaces working while the third needed a replacement part. A quick follow up appointment had the third fireplace working with no issues. Their prices were the most reasonable that I found after calling 3 others to price compare. I highly recommend them. read more

F&S did a great job! Kevin showed up right on time just like scheduled, diagnose the problem quickly and repaired it in a matter of a couple of hours. He was clean tidy and left no mess. He also showed me how to remove the glass which I have not been able to figure out for months so that we could clean it. When my two gas fireplaces needed service I called the store from where I bought them, California Windows & Fireplaces and they told me that they were super busy but would transfer me over to the service department, I got a recording that someone would get back to me, waited a few days, no one called back. Called California Windows &Fireplaces again, same thing happened, no one ever got back to me. So I went on Yelp search and found F&S Fireplaces, what a huge difference. Within the next week, Kevin was here and did a great job. One of my remotes was on the blink, a new one is $222, ouch ! but Kevin was able to get my old one working properly, saved me the cost of the new one.
