They always do a warm up and explain the workout in detail. They're also very good at recommending scale downs for anyone with an injury or wanting to do something different, while challenging you and pushing you to do better at the same time. It's a great community with really nice people. The facilities are kept clean and there's also a separate training area if you want to workout alone and not do a class that is included with your membership fee.

Absolutely horrendous business practices. Stay away…read more Trying to cancel my membership has been an absolute nightmare. They have effectively put an AI wall between customers and anyone who can actually help. Nobody answers the phone because their AI system refuses to connect you to a human. Their email system is also automated and provides a limited selection of useless responses that do not resolve the issue. You would think walking into the actual location would solve the problem. Nope. Staff members on site claim they are not "authorized" to cancel memberships either. Apparently, you are forced right back into the same ridiculous automated system. I blocked their recurring charge with my bank TWICE because I no longer wanted to be charged. Now I received an "authorization" through Stripe that I never agreed to and never signed. At this point, this has gone far beyond bad customer service. Making it incredibly easy to take someone's money while making it ridiculously difficult to stop taking it is completely unacceptable. Be VERY careful before giving this business your payment information or signing up for a membership. Based on my experience, getting out is infinitely harder than getting in. I would never do business with this place again.

For years, I tried doing the gym routine with mixed results. I struggled sticking with a routine and many days just didn't know what to do at the gym. At G20, I don't have to worry about any of that. Each day we get a new workout that pushes us to our limits, gets the heart pumping, and leaves us sore and coming back for more. The schedule is incredibly flexible with 2 morning and 2 evening workouts during the week and a special Saturday morning class to mix things up. The workouts take place at Volunteer Park on Sunrise Blvd in Plantation Acres. At first, I was skeptical working out outdoors. I'd always worked out in a gym so I wasn't sure about being outside for my workouts. But let me tell you, being outdoors is the best. I work in an office, so I am inside behind a desk most of the day. Going to an air-conditioned gym with no windows? No thanks! Get me outside, in the park...let me feel the fresh air, see the sunset. The group aspect of G20 Fitness is what I like the most; it helps take the workouts to the next level. Again, at first, I was skeptical. I was the gym loner with my headphones on and my head down. Workouts were my alone time. Now....forget about it! G20 is all about working out together, pushing each other, and sharing in our successes. Need motivation? G20 has it in spades! The trainers will push you, the other members will push you, and heck, in no time you'll be pushing other people as well. The members are in it together to make sure everyone finishes and has a fun time doing it. Let's talk about value real quick. Is it more expensive than a gym membership? Sure, but not by that much. And what you get for that little extra investment is well worth it. You get a trainer who will help you on your form and technique each and every class, you get help and insight on diet and supplements, and access to a full line of equipment to ensure you can keep progressing. To me, the value of what you get at G20 far exceeds anything you can get at one of the big-box gyms. If you want results, want to get outdoors, want to meet new people, and have an absolute blast working out, then G20 Fitness is the place for you.

She got my wife involved and finally got me off my ass and now I am working out to a reduced pace to get me use to the regime. They know what's best for me at 62 years old and I feel like a million bucks when I leave the workout. He has classes first part of every day then again in the early evening. He does a different workout every time I'm there. I have not done the same thing twice. I really enjoyed my ice cream but have a brand new granddaughter so I want to be around for many years to see her graduate college. Gabe and Nicholas will make it easy to do that by pushing me to get off the couch and back into training 4 days a week. No more ice cream and snickers bars for me. Thanks guys. The programming is varied. Monday: Upper Body, Tuesday; Total Body, Wednesday; lower body, Thursday; Total body, Friday; Cardio and abs, Saturday; Total body and Sunday; Lower body. The exercises are varied, so if you hated one workout, the next one will be different. The instructors demonstrate the exercises after the warmup. The exercises are rotated so the other regulars know the exercises and you can follow along. If you are new the instructors will take the time to work you through it one on one. If you are new to exercising at this intensity you can dial it off by using lower weights, taking longer breaks, or in my case I tapped out after two rounds versus three. There is no pressure except yourself to perform. The gym is open air. I have only worked out here in the winter, but find my self gravitating to the doors for fresh air. There is ample supply of equipment for all strength levels. I have noticed some couples coming in and one partner doing their own workout on the weights. I have had a stroke and have balance and cognitive deficits. I know the modifications to the exercises that I need and there is equipment available for adaption. The instructors are patient with me in asking questions of something I'm sure they already said. They have a ten percent discount for military, veterans, and law enforcement. I live nearby and walk in the field next to Empire. They have underutilized lighted soccer fields that are perfect for a team practice at night. The teams are out there at night with music blasting and balls blazing. They have recently started a boxing program on Tuesdays and Thursdays that seems intriguing. They have different heavy bags available. I avoided this gym the last year due to Covid. Both me and my wife were fully vaccinated in March, so I was willing to give it a go. NO ONE wears a mask! They do a good job of sanitizing before, during, and after workouts, with all people participating in keeping it clean. They have the workout spaces divided into six foot blocks and have modified the workouts to maintain social distancing. The bottom line is that I would not recommend an unvaccinated person or one who has not had COVID work out here, especially when Jonathan breaks out one of his SHIIT workouts that will get everyone breathing super hard. The music is a negative for me. It is super loud (as in a club) and is either Regaton or Urban music. A diversity of Dance, House, Disco, Electronica, Salsa, Merengue, and Rock would be appreciated to match the diversity of clients. Maybe rotate a different style each day and ensure that styles vary between weeks. I will do a review again post-covid and if DJ issue is resolved, they should be at five stars.

I…read morelearned how to run faster, pace myself and blend running into my overall workout regiment. Also Barry's taught me about strength at an achievable level for an amateur. Historically I lifted 2 to 3 pound weights in ballet barre classes. Barry's has helped me develop to 10-15 pound weights for better muscle strength. The only "cons" of Barry's are the price and the singular focus on run/lift. My greatest weight loss and muscle tone has been at full service gyms like equinox. I work out longer at equinox and ultimately burn more calories blending running, rowing and elliptical with barre and yoga. Equinox as a full service gym is half the price for a monthly membership. Moreover, Equinox runs promotions such as free membership through the end of 2023 for a 12 month membership in 2024, and the monthly membership is $210 corporate. Notably Barry's corporate locations offer discounted membership and class packs for my employer but Barry's Miami Beach doesn't accept them. I ended up with Barry's corporate and Barry's Miami class packs. Barry's serves an important purpose. When I want to push my running legs and lift heavy, Barry's Miami Beach is the place. Barry's has good treadmills with thicker cushion that is worth the extra money. My Miami Beach condo has treadmills included but zero cushion. Candidly I know more injured runners than active runners. The cushiony treadmill and higher end running shoes like Hoka are valuable investments for a runner. (I have never been injured running but pay for quality equipment, coaches and shoes.) i love the enthusiasm and encouragement of Sammi, Michael, Derek and Rachel especially. The balance of the challenging Barry's workouts is worth it.
