When I texted asking about the status, I was told they were ready for pickup and that I could come in for a trial fitting. However, when I arrived, it became clear that the tops had not been altered at all, despite me paying for those alterations. My order had either been forgotten or not properly tracked. The pants were also very poorly hemmed. When I initially pointed it out, my concerns were dismissed and I was repeatedly told everything looked "fine" and "that's how they're suppose look".After looking more closely, the hemming was clearly uneven and poorly done which even she couldn't deny. On top of that, one of the pants had a stain, and the tops were leaving cuts and rashes on my arms due to the stitching/material. Given the amount I spent overall, I was very disappointed by both the quality of the alterations and how my concerns were handled afterward. Overall, I found the experience extremely disappointing given the amount high reviews she has. I would personally avoid this business. The pricing was very high for the quality provided, and I did not feel there was much accountability or customer care when serious issues with the outfit and alterations were raised.

When I finally did pick up my outfit, I noticed that some of the gold foil pieces on my outfit were missing off of my lehenga skirt. She said she could work with the designer to provide the pieces but never followed up or responded to my messages. The designer thankfully worked with me to send those pieces directly. I agree with other reviewers that Komal's communication is terrible and inconsistent. It's hard to get status updates, confirmation on prices, etc. I worked with several high-end designers and medium-end ones directly through their teams and had good experiences doing that. This is what I'd recommend that others do. Komal does not provide written invoices or payment confirmations, leading you to have to Venmo or Zelle often thousands of dollars, with limited visibility on the status of your order. It's tricky to trust this kind of merchant with limited paper trails and similar reviews to immune for momentous occasions like your wedding.

When we got to the stall the next day, we simply told the owner about the smell then she got mad/disagreed and started to raise her voice when we were speaking calmly and trying to just explain to her what happened. Later, when we adjusted and finally found a dress to exchange, she said we could not have it since it was on hold for a different person, but the person had been gone for quite a while, and then again the owner started to raise her voice when she did not want to give us the dress, and at last she said to just get the dress and get out of her stall while we also ended up paying extra for the new dress. This whole experience was completely unethical, disrespectful, and unprofessional; such a disappointment.
