I loved Faborit with its fresh, healthy food concept. They offer a salad bar, fresh juices, healthy bowls, and my friends rave about the sandwiches. The panino tortilla y tomate was delicious. I ordered a cappuccino but was charged an extra .70 for the mug to dine in the restaurant (really?!) I was excited to find Kombucha in Spain. I would go back for a quick bite for breakfast or lunch. www.faborit.com

Capuccino and ham and cheese croissant, yum!

This chain is a life saver, is like the Delis in NYC only with the Spain flavors and even cheaper. They are all over Madrid and have a good wifi, love it! Esta cadena está en toda la Ciudad, los precios son muy buenos tomando en cuenta la calidad de la comida. Tienen muy buen wifi

Vacation is usually when people indulge. But of you are looking for a break from the endless parade of treats that Spain has to offer, this is the place. They have a great salad bar and smoothie combo for under 10 euros, as well as sandwiches. And if you want something sweet after eating your vegetables, they've got hot chocolate and piastries too. I had a beautiful bowl of greens and the hot ginger lemonade-- just the thing after several rounds of tapas and drinks the night before!

Lunch salad special very fresh. It comes with one of their vitaminics health drinks. Very tasty. This is a great spot for people watching. There is a lot going on inside, and you can watch all the people outside on this busy corner

They probably prefer it that way because the quiet vibe appeared to be part of the ambiance they're seeking here. We just found it by chance on Google Maps as an alternative to the beef-heavy eateries in the neighborhood. We just felt a need to eat healthier. The menu was small and appetizing, and we treated ourselves to two 3,5€ glasses of Zafra Blanco, a crisp Spanish white wine that freshened our palates. We started our meal with a complimentary helping of a "creamy" beetroot dip accompanied by lightly crisped pita chips (Photo 7). Next came the 12€ Spinach and "Parmesan" Croquettes, six lightly fried, falafel-like spheres drizzled with cashew nut mayo (Photo 8). They provided the ideal bites. Jamie went for their signature 15€ Moroccan Bowl with corn couscous, beetroot falafel, sweet potato, spinach, cherries, pickled cucumber, tomato, and fresh dates drizzled with mint yogurt sauce (Photo 6). It was quite a cornucopia of flavors that meshed quite well together with the falafels the particular standout. I decided to go for the 8€ Brochette of "Chicken" with chunks of zucchini and onion and satay sauce over a bed of sweet potato noodles (Photo 9). I'm not sure what the "chicken" was, but the flavor and texture was surprisingly spot-on. At the same time, I'm glad I limited myself to one skewer because I wanted to save room for dessert and the 4€ bottle of sparkling Green Apple Cider (Photo 4). Jamie and I settled on the delightful 6,5€ Tiramisu Cake dusted with Cocoa and swirled with Toffee (Photo 10). We finished our meal with 2€ cups of Cortado with the right amount of warm, steamed milk (Photo 5). We were seated by the table near the window and ordered right away since we knew what we wanted. My friend and I split the mixed paella which comes with shrimp, calamari, crawfish, chicken and sausage. We also ordered two big glasses of the sangria. The paella took about 45 mins to make since all the paellas are made to order. While we were waiting we were sipping on our sangrias which were delicious! The only thing was that it was a bit too sweet for me and I could taste the grains of sugar at the bottom of my glass. The paella finally came and it was a beautiful site to see ! So colorful with the different elements in the dish. The rice was cooked perfectly and everything was seasoned well. It was a bit oily though when you scrape the bottom of the pan to get all the rice but it was delicious!!! During out meal the owner and our waiter has a disagreement about something and were yelling at each other across the restaurant. Kind of disrupted our dining atmosphere but overall the food was good and our service was good. Def. Recommend this place to anyone who wants a good plate of paella and glass of sangria!

You can tell by looking around, the place was emptyish while the tapas places nearby and across the street were full. We actually went inside the restaurant across this place, it was touristy and extremely expensive, we thought, this is not the experience we wanted. We left and entered the Sidreria. Here goes nothing... Here is the lowdown: it is CHEAP, LARGE PORTION sizes, DELICIOUS, super FRIENDLY (bar tender did Everything and was really nice to us. It helped that I speak spanish though) and were you get FREE TAPAS with your drink. Tell me when was the last time you got free tapas in a touristy bar? We ordered a Tinto de Verano (red wine, lemon soda and splash of vermouth) and it was great, cost about 2 euros or so! the only beer though, was San Miguel, but it tastes much better from tap than bottle, we repeated our orders shortly after downing the first batch. The free tapa came as a surprise, we had ordered several (including fried calamari already, and a tortilla) portions again, were cheap and huge. We were full then. At the next round of drinks, another free tapa came. I was surprised again and as a sign of respect, we ate it all again. No comments. A plate of peanuts and soft bread topped with a mayo/potato/fake crab meat. It looked so simple but it was so good! That's when they got me. Simple-delicious (like the tomato on bread and Olive oil) that's it. I was sold and happy we decidedly to enter.
