You can feel their care and compassion for their patients. I made an urgent appointment for my elderly mom, who's over 80 years old. My mom had toothaches and when I spoke to the receptionist, Jessica - she took note of the urgent visit request and was able to schedule a consultation the following day. Hallelujah! Dr. Yuri was able to get us in a few days later after the consultation to remove a few of mom's infected teeth. My mom was the most CALM she's ever been at the dentist. She even gave 2 THUMBS UP after the infected tooth was removed. The whole procedure was painless and Dr. YURI performed a spectacular job from numbing to pulling the tooth out and making sure my mom was comfortable the entire time. Thank YOU Dr. YURI AND Team! You really live up to your superior ratings and reviews!

I just felt like they weren't being honest. So I went to Dr Yuri for a second opinion. Sure enough, the 3 cavities and crown I supposedly needed vanished, and I really had a healthy set of teeth all along. I didn't need anything done except a cleaning. Thank God for honest dentists like Dr Yuri! She is the best!

I have been their patient for years and I will say they are worthy of trust - they will explain different treatment plan options in as much detail as you want, and they never push unnecessary treatment as some others practices tend to do. I went to Smiles of Eastlake for a comprehensive exam and cleaning. After reviewing my X-rays, I…read morewas told I had a couple of cavities and that some of my old fillings should be replaced. I trusted their professional judgment and agreed to the recommended treatment. During the procedure, the numbing injection was incredibly painful. I've had fillings before, so I knew this didn't feel normal. I remember thinking maybe they just used a different technique, so I trusted the process and didn't question it. Looking back, I wish I had advocated for myself. Ever since that filling was completed, that tooth has been in pain. I lived with that pain for the next 2-3 months, hoping it would eventually go away. Instead, I pushed it to the back of my mind and convinced myself it would get better. When I finally flew back to the D.C. area, I went to the dentist I've trusted for the past 10 years. He took new X-rays of the painful tooth and diagnosed me with pulpitis, an inflammation of the dental pulp. He also showed me that the new filling extended beyond the previous filling. He expressed concern about whether that additional drilling was necessary. He couldn't say for certain that it wasn't, but the look on his face and our conversation were concerning to me. I'm not accusing anyone of wrongdoing. I'm simply sharing the facts. During my comprehensive exam and X-rays at Smiles of Eastlake, there was no indication of inflammation in that tooth. After the filling was done, I developed constant pain in that same tooth and was later diagnosed with pulpitis by another dentist. My biggest issue with Smiles of Eastlake was that the office felt rushed and impersonal. It felt more like a high-volume practice than one focused on individualized patient care. Once my trust was broken, I wasn't comfortable returning. This review is really about two things. First, if you choose Smiles of Eastlake, proceed with caution. Ask questions, advocate for yourself, and don't be afraid to get a second opinion if something doesn't feel right. Second, listen to your body. I ignored persistent pain for 2-3 months because I assumed it would get better. It didn't. Whether this outcome could have been prevented, I don't know, but I do know that ignoring my symptoms wasn't the right decision. I hope my experience encourages someone else to trust their instincts and seek care sooner.

ME: Replying to Dentist response from my previous review…read more DENTIST RESPONSE: A dental pre-authorization is a process that allows a dentist to determine if a patient's dental insurance will pay for a proposed treatment. Me: My Issue since the begging was why you had to process a pre-authorization for 2 jobs that were done incorrectly? don't you think that if you get paid for a job you should to it right the first time , instead of trying to recharge my insurance for something you didn't do right the 1st time? That's my argument and concern! I imagine other customers that get bad jobs done by this dentist that ties to multi task from one patient to another rushing because you don't want to pay another dentist to get your stress off your shoulder. That's why your jobs are no done appropriately due to the fact that you are rushing your malfunction Dental Practices. Hope you realize that you said you were going to repair the damage work many times and now you don't want to be accountable for. You prefer to loose a customer over something that cost you $100 from your pocket and charge couple hundreds. Poor business skills. People avoid a rushing Dentist just to maximize his profits . Thank you

Ugh I'll update as it goes... hopefully can get this rating up from a GENEROUS 2 star.

Also, Steven works at both location (Palomar Dental Care and Premier Dental Care of Eastlake). I am writing this review to warn others about the predatory and unethical practices at Palomar Dental Care. My senior citizen mother, whose first language is not English, went in by herself for a simple filling on May 6, 2025, and was subjected to exaggerated dental cost experience. Instead of addressing just the filling she requested, they pressured her into an extensive and expensive treatment plan that she explicitly stated she couldn't afford. She felt rushed through out the process, from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, without giving her a day to consider or seek a second opinion. Thus, she end up signing the contract without even knowing full details of the contract specially about the cancellation clause. They completed "Visit 1" and "Visit 2" in one visit without proper explanation or consent known to her. Their clause stating "If treatment commences and is cancelled after commencement, a nonrefundable minimum of 50% charge will be applied" is outrageous and, frankly, doesn't seem legal under California law. My mom stressed out that she could NOT pay the full patient cost. She also told me that she didn't know about this 50% clause when she signed it. She also said Steven even told her that the contract will be finalized on her next visit, supposedly yesterday, May 8. California Civil Code § 1689.3 provides a clear three-business-day right to rescind dental services contracts. Their attempt to enforce this "non-refundable minimum of 50% charge" clause and their refusal to immediately cancel after receiving our formal letter Wednesday, May 7 is a blatant disregard for patient rights under California Civil Code § 1689.3. Despite our legal right to cancel within three business days (which my mom exercised), they are still harassing my mother by calling and trying to schedule a meeting to "talk it over." She received a call yesterday (May 8) and today (May 9). This is unacceptable and shows their intent to bully vulnerable patients! This dental office preys on vulnerable individuals, uses high-pressure sales tactics, and attempts to enforce outrageous contract clauses to trap patients. We are within our legal cancellation period, and their refusal to honor it is appalling. AVOID THIS DENTAL OFFICE AT ALL COSTS! Provider name also known as R I MAROON DENTAL GROUP

My kids actually enjoy coming here, which says a lot! The staff is incredibly patient and accommodating, especially with little ones like my youngest who aren't the biggest fans of cleanings. They take their time, communicate clearly, and create an environment that feels safe and supportive. Everything runs so smoothly--it's truly a well-oiled machine. Even the team members behind the scenes who handle texts, scheduling, and rescheduling are responsive and kind, which I really appreciate as a busy mom. I honestly wish I could come here as an adult! More than anything, I love that they're not just providing a service--they're helping teach my kids lifelong habits around dental hygiene in such a positive way. However the three stars knocked off because the front desk is extremely rude. Right when you walk in, they ignore you and point to a kiosk to check in and don't make eye contact like they are avoiding you on purpose. Mind you I've only been here twice. And each visit was the same. They also NEVER answer their phone calls even if you leave a voice mail. Their main form of communication is text message. They reschedule through text and answer any questions through text. Also last time I checked out, one of the ladies at the front desk (couldn't catch her name) was talking to her coworker in front of me for like a good 3 minutes and it was completely unrelated to my visit. I felt like I was a burden burdening their conversation, and she asked me with the most annoyed tone if I was free a month out after they were done. Not "hi, I can help you right here" or "did you get everything you needed today?" Like I'm burdening you with your 3 minutes of conversation? The picture even says please DO NOT CALL. please tell me this a joke? What's the point of having a receptionist if I'm burdening them and they don't want to speak to customers? Text is NOT a professional form of communication.
