I attended a Yelp event last night and it was great! I was a little concerned about unconventional open concept, but Sarah, my Esthetician, eased my concerns with great conversation and service. It still had a boutique-like spa experience with great lighting. We went over a treatment plan for my skin and I planned my next visit. We were invited by yelp elite club to come for a BUY ONE GET ONE FREE, the facial is roughly $65 so it made it 32.50 for each of us. We made an appointment online and it was super easy! They made sure to call ahead and confirm our appointment. When we arrived it was clean and smelled so fresh! The lady techs immediately greeted us and got us signed in. I forgot my lady but she was so sweet and funny. She made sure that everything she did to me was of comfort and not uncomfortable! She recommended the pore treatment and I think it was worth it! My blackheads from my forehead, nose, and chin were (almost) gone. I ran my finger across it and it was so smooth! The process was a little of discomfort but that's expected. The facial was relaxing and all their products were natural and did not irritate my skin. My skin is sensitive to the touch too! read more

I visited Face Haus because of a yelp elite promotion where you get a BOGO "Haus Special" treatment ($65) when you come with a friend. I've never done anything like this before but my experience here piqued my interests and may result in a future visit. Vibe: Very chic and minimal. Smells nice when you walk in. Service: You are greeted once you enter. All of the employees seem friendly and inviting. They're not too pushy on products. I can't recall every single thing that the facial included but it took about 45 minutes. It was therapeutic and I surprisingly enjoyed it. During the facial you are offered some add-ons that may maximize your visitation, but I declined. Everything smelled good and the esthetician (?) explains everything in detail. Overall Impression: I've never thought about getting a facial in my life before this promotion. Now that I've experienced it I'm most likely going to get another before any personal big events. The reason why I took one star off is because I wasn't comfortable laying in that chair. I kept having to fidget around to find a "sweet spot" but ultimately was not able to. It made me feel like I was in a dental office, with the arm rests being pretty far apart. DO NOT GO. HORRIBLE PLACE. All around horrendous experience. To start things off I developed impetigo (a staph infection) from receiving a facial here. The esthetician performed the "haus special" where she performed extractions on my skin and it got infected. Afterwards my skin became incredibly inflamed my whole face was swollen and preceded to start itching, blistering and oozing. I had to go to urgent care and miss work since I had an active and very contagious infection. On top of all that, despite all my efforts I have not spoken to ONE manager who is willing to resolve this horrible issue. It is also concerning that they do not acknowledge the lack of cleanliness and procedures in their spa. Incredibly dangerous. I have attached pictures below. Went there for a mini facial and loved it! My face was very well taken care of and it felt so nice to get a facial. They looked at how your skin is and find the right treatments for me. I had a huge pimple on my nose and she said she would try to help reduce the redness. The products they use smelled so good that I could had fallen asleep letting her fix my face. read more

Overall great first two experiences at Face Haus. The estheticians were friendly and pleasant and my face felt great during and after the facial. I would like to give 5 stars but there are a few areas that were good, not great for me. I am used to Heyday in NYC (which I love) so that was my basis for expectations and comparisons. - Privacy: I would love if there were curtains added for privacy (like HeyDay does) or at least more consideration about the seating arrangement - Explanation of treatment: I really like when the esthetician tells me what is happening throughout the facial. Hearing what each product or treatment is really adds to the experience for me. Some steps were explained, but I would have liked to hear about all of them. -Not leaving me too long in the chair with no service: I saw earlier reviews that mentioned during down time for a mask it would be really nice if the esthetician would treat clients to a simple hand or neck massage. I strongly agree. I appreciate the masks that sit for longer but I can sit by myself at home and let a mask sit for 20 minutes. While I am in the chair I don't want to be ignored for more than a few minutes. It seemed like last time, my esthetician was cleaning up while my mask sat for what felt like 15 minutes. A simple hand or neck massage during part of this time would have been greatly appreciated. The first appointment, we were apparently in the midst of peak back-to-school facials for teens. That is great that teenage/ middle school girls are enjoying getting facials too but it would have been a lot more comfortable and enjoyable for my husband and I to not have had to sit it the middle of them. I felt like I was in an episode of the Babysitter's Club and did not enjoy all of the teenage girl chatter during a time that I was looking forward to relaxing. Please, Face Haus, be mindful that your adult clients want some serenity and do not want to be seated next to children for a facial appointment when there are clearly plenty of open chairs further away. Ironically, one of the girls' mothers got to have her treatment further away from the group, while my husband and I were uncomfortably seated with the girls. For our second appointment, the scene was much more calm and serene. I do wish that since, both times I booked our appointments together, we could be seated next to each other, instead of next to a stranger. I purchased a package and I do like how my skin felt from both treatments so I definitely will be back but do hope that Face Haus will take some of my comments into consideration for future services. read more

Oh my gosh, where do I even begin! Ian was an absolute doll and I loved my experience getting a facial with him. He was so nice and took me to the whole process of my facial, so I knew exactly what he was doing. Not to mention Caitlin at the front who gave off such great vibes, and was so welcoming. I received a Yelp Elite offer to try Face Haus for a two-fer offer. Since it was my friend's birthday, we decided to get facials. Knowing that I was referred to by Yelp, I would have thought customer service would have been superb, but I was sadly mistaken. Scheduling an appointment was difficult. I followed the Elite instructions and texted a request. Having received no response, I called. First two calls went unanswered. When I finally reached someone on the third call, I felt that I was somehow disturbing the lady. She was incredibly rude when I asked questions about the service. OK, bad day maybe. My friend and I arrived 10 minutes early for our facial. I asked to use their restroom before the facial, and was told by the receptionist (probably the same ill-manner lady who answers the phone) that there is no restroom. When she saw the look on my face, she said, "if you really have to go, we will let you, but be careful, as the tank lid is cracked." Well, thank you so much for giving me permission. The esthetician's goal was to sell each and every booster available on the menu. These boosters are their money makers at an additional $10-15 a pop. The facial seemed like a little steam, cleaning, and a little rubbing with cold stones. Nothing worth $85.00, so glad we got the two-fer. read more

Linus (hope I'm spelling her name correctly) did a great job on my facial! I'm beyond impressed with her technique! The place is clean/spotless and the music and ambiance to die! My only point of feedback is to ensure there are enough blankets. Unfortunately, when I asked for a blanket, they didn't have one for me so I was cold throughout the whole process. I did the Haus Special and added the microdermabrasion treatment and my face is glowing. What I love most about my experience is it was 45 minutes but felt like it was an hour+ because she took her time and made me feel so relaxed! I would come here on my lunch break for sure. It's completely open place with no privacy. No warm ambience for facials. They charge $165 for that kind of hospitality. After reaching the place, I learn that as no where on their website it is listed as open space facials. If open space concept works for you, give it a try but I definitely didn't like their ambience for open concept as well. read more

I've never had a facial but wow! Now I can't figure out why this was my first time but it won't be the last! I loved the steamer and different treatments. It was so relaxing, I liked that they ask about your skin before starting. I did tell her I have extremely sensitive skin and luckily I didn't have any issues which I was worried since literally get a reaction from threading. The extractions did hurt but it was over fast. I've been here twice already and can't wait to go back. The atmosphere is fantastic! The first time at a friend's recommendation I brought my kids to get their first facials (because yes, they have specifically targeted kids & teen facials) and check out the atmosphere. My kids loved it and their esthetician's, Robin & Kathryn. They both came out with super soft, clean skin & they can't wait to go back. After such a pleasant experience I had to book an appointment for myself. The second time was my mom time.. I was immediately greeted, offered water, and welcomed in. I had had the most stressful week ever and thought it would be impossible to relax. Boy was I wrong! Kathryn was able to get me to relax, recommended some great services to try, and when I left my face looked so refreshed and I felt like I had the worry of the week washed away! We walked-in in the last minute, staffs are friendly! Front desk setup an appointment and we filled out paperwork on iPads. The place is neat and clean, my husband and I got our couple skincare at the same time. The basic prices are $65-80, adds-on items are $15 in average. Have gone 5 or so times now usually always very satisfied considering pricing and ease. Went yesterday - it felt like I paid to have my face washed by someone who was too new to do anything else. I really go for extractions and they did nothing on my cheeks or around my mouth and only glazed over my nose area. I didn't say anything because I avoid confrontation, but it should have been standard in the service (it was all 5 other times I've gone). Today I woke up and you cannot tell that I got a facial. Okay, since I had never been, I obviously didn't have a preference, but why give me the option if it's really not available? I did leave it to them to decide which treatment would be best and - no surprise - they selected the World of Difference, their most expensive one. I fully expected that to happen, and it did. I haven't had a facial in a very long time, so perhaps it's what I really needed, but who knows? I'm not wild about the open concept, but was the only person there, so was quite comfortable. The salon was clean, the ladies were lovely, the music could have been more spa-like, but that's a personal preference. When the facial was over, I commented on how fast the time went and was surprised to see that it was 5:45 when I checked out. My appointment was at 5 and started on time. The Face Haus website clearly states that the World of Difference is "55 power-packed minutes," so where were my remaining 10 minutes? Facial? YES PLEASE! I received an elite perk from face haus for a free "haus special" when you go with a friend who is new to face haus. I naturally took my sister who is my best friend. She has acne prone oily skin with scarring. I wanted to treat her to a facial to help her skin and build her confidence. I booked online for both of us. It was quick and easy creating a profile and selecting our services. When we arrived the space looked clean and very aesthetic. Checking in was quick and easy. Everyone was extremely friendly. Our technician came out to greet us and walk us back to our chair. It is an open room so you are not getting your facial done in a private room. It didn't bother me one bit though. I put my bag and sweater in a cubby with phone chargers in case you need to charge up whole relaxing (genius!). I was offered a blanket which I thought was a nice touch. They inspect your skin and then make recommendations on what service to have. My sister and I both got the haus special with power to the pores. Even though we got the same services they used different products on us that were based on the skin type and skin care routine that we described to them in the beginning while they're inspecting our skin. I have never felt such relaxation in my life! They are so gentle. They always communicate what they are doing or when they are leaving. I was also very congested when I came in and she helped clear that up. I was AMAZED! I cannot tell you how amazing I felt after this facial. I never wanted it to end. My skin was glowing, I could breath, and I was so relaxed I went home and took a nap. Did I mention they use organic products? BONUS POINTS! I took my mom here for a Mother's Day facial and it was the most terrific experience! From the moment you walk in all you see is smiling faces greeting you, all the staff is so beyond nice! Kathryn was such a sweetheart, I recommend her 100% I had actually booked a more expensive facial for my mom but after Kathryn evaluated her skin she decided to go for the basic package, which means they really know their stuff and don't try to up-sell you! Talking to me about the next steps during the facial is one thing, but this was the most unrelaxing experience I have ever had. I will definitely return however, I felt that I had to ask about there program for facials which is a savings. It wasn't brought up when I was checking out so if I had purchased a package I would've saved 10% off retail products. I would've bought a three pack had I known ahead of time. So I wasn't thrilled that they weren't marketing that. I did end up purchasing several items as I didn't have any at home facial oil or moisturizer. Other monthly facial memberships I've had fell flat, so I was excited to try the FaceHaus concept. I'm a busy mom-on-the-go and liked the idea of a no-fuss facial that actually does more than just exfoliate and layer masks and creams on my face. FaceHaus blew my expectations out of the water! Instead of just cleansing and moisturizing, my esthetician, Jo, used so many cool products and tools. Antibacterial wands, face sculpting with frozen blue globes, oxygen blasts - it felt like the kind of facial you'd have at a super high-end spa. I also chose to add on a cool neck and lip treatment as an addition to my facial. I left with the most amazing glow that I didn't even need makeup for my afternoon lunch date! It was a disappointing experience. i knew it was not going to be a spa like experience but for $170 I was expecting not to leave the place with a bright red face and tight skin because all the oil had been stripped from my face. Before the facial began I mentioned that I had extremely sensitive skin. The Estie made note but continued to but vitamin C exfoliant on my face which is super harsh and wiped my face numerous times with scratchy wet towels. There was supposed to be a cooling / soothing portion of the facial I missed that as well as hydrating portion. Missed that too. I paid $15 extra for an oxygen blast that amounted to them turning on a machine waving a wand over my face for 1 minute while it spewed cold mist. Except the mist was more like a sputtering mist with big drops of water landing on your face. Usually oxygen is forced under your skin to plumb up and brighten. This oxygen blast was more like a miserable hydro blast. All and al, I would have been better off buying a mask from beauty store and watching Netflix while masking away. At least my face would not look and feel raw hamburger. read more

I have been taking my teenage daughter to the Royal location for a while and all of our experiences have been wonderful. This last one was the best one yet and that is due in large part to Kureka! She took the time to talk to my daughter about her skin goals and gave her some incredible feedback that gave her some ways to help meet her goals. WOW. I've never had a facial. I got the Bright Side service today and I have no words. I have eczema and sun damage on my face and after ONE treatment, the inflammation is gone, my pores are unclogged, and my skin just feels SO good.
