Decided to have face painting & balloons as a surprise for my niece's birthday party this past weekend - and it was a hit! All the kids looked great! It was fun seeing both small and big kids with their painted faces and balloons that matched their designs. A lot of the parents enjoyed this idea and raved about Jasmine and her magical brush! She was patient with the kids and made my 2y/old nephew very happy with his Spiderman face painting, that he fell asleep with it and did not want to wash his face the next day. We hired Jasmine for 1.5 hours for my daughter's classmates at school (about 12 3-4 year old's) in honor of her 4th birthday. Jasmine was punctual and arrived perfectly on time. Setting up only took a few minutes and before you knew it, the first child was up there on the chair getting her face painted. There are a couple nice display boards (gender specific) with ideas and examples for kids to choose from. After the child got his/her face or arm painted, she twisted together a few balloons that coincide with the painting's color or theme. All-in-all, each child from start to finish, including the painting and balloon takes anywhere from 6-10 minutes apiece. I must say, her painting skills are incredible, innovative, and creative. All the kids loved showing each other their designs and one couldn't stop looking in the mirror. Overall, it was a great experience and we appreciate her hard work and dedication to her craft. The only caveat I would have to include for any prospective parent looking to hire Jasmine, is to be patient with the communication. At times it was a bit frustrating that she didn't return my voice messages in an ideal manner, but if you're patient enough (I need to work on that more), she will get back with you. Jasmine also called me to confirm a few days prior to my event. On the day of the event, Jasmine arrived on time and set up her equipment right away. Beautiful designs but super unprofessional. Emailed and tried messaging through yelp with no replies back. Can at least respond with a short sentence saying unavailable instead of having customers wait not knowing if she will be available for an event or not. To respond to the business I don't think the example of a busy parking lot is a good example. It's true I can not judge your service since I was unable to get a booking but I am judging on customer service which is also a big part of running a business. If a restaurant open for business never picks up their phones, return voicemails or emails, customers who have never visited their location can still review their "customer service experience". It reflects on how professional an owner runs its business. Thank you for replying to my review and apologizing but if business is doing well and busy maybe hire more staff, customer service is important as well and can reflect business and more referrals. Also, I believe my message was viewed through Yelp get a quote message because when I first messaged it said business will reply within 6 hours, I waited and waited for a few days and checked again with no messages back but the yelp page changed to business replies within 3 hours. So if my message was never replied to how is the business replying back in 3 hours. It just makes me think that the business is choosing who to reply back to and which events and locations they want to take. She will also try to have your negative review removed stating that it was not "appropriate or irrelevant". I opened a claim with yelp and asked them which part of my review was not based on "customer experience" or not based on their guideline for it to be removed. They could not find a reason and emailed me back stating they will reinstate my review. read more
