This Sally Beauty is a hidden gem in Panorama City. This store has a variety of beauty products such as hair colors, nail polishes, brushes and etc. I have been to store couple of times so far. Every time I go, employees are nice and friendly. They greet the customers and answers all the questions. This location is located in a plaza which means a lot of empty parking spots. Parking is not an issue which makes the shopping experience more enjoyable. read more

Andrea was such a great help! She was also very patient. Only thing that threw me off was another worker as I told her I was going to get hair clips and came back she was like I added this to your bag because it's cheaper as it was supposedly a bundle they had. The receipt proved her right but I feel she should've waited until I was at the register to ask me if I even wanted that. I appreciate the thought of "oh it's cheaper" but something like that should be asked to the customer for a yes or no. Other than that workers are nice and helpful.! They sold me expired hair creme color. I bought two identical products but one was obviously expired. When I went to get a refund. They told me they can only exchange it because it was already open. First of all ???? How was I supposed to know the product would be expired before opening it???? You think I k ow the future can see through the bottle ? Cause I can't . I needed 2 boxes of color, To cover all my hair. which believe me I have a lot of. But I ended up only being able to use one and it wasn't enough to cover all my hair. This store is wildly unprofessional. I ordered products online and long story short - no one had any idea what I was talking about. After I ordered the products (around 6p) I called the store to confirm they received my order. They said they had not. I was told to call customer service. I called customer service, they confirmed that THIS STORE had the product and was waiting on the carrier to pick up (even though it was after their 4p cutoff time - they confirmed over and over that a carrier was coming). It was getting close to close time and I was nervous about the ordered product (that I needed immediately), so I decided to call them. FROM 7:15p TO ABOUT 8:20p, I CALLED CONSTANTLY AND NO ONE EVER ANSWERED THE PHONE (DURING BUSINESS HOURS). I EVEN CALLED ON MY WAY TO THE STORE - STILL NOTHING. AS I WAS WALKING UP I CALLED TO SEE IF THEY WERE SCREENING CALLS AND WALKED IN TO AN EMPLOYEE LOOKING AT THE PHONE AND THEN PICKING UP THE PHONE WHEN SHE SAW IT WAS ME! They WERE NOT APOLOGETIC, they were NOT OFFERING SOLUTIONS, they were still lost about the order that never appeared in their store! At the end of this, I had to buy the product I ordered online AGAIN IN STORE. Unreal. Do not shop here if you are looking for something outside of lukewarm welcomes and employees standing behind the register, waiting for customers to come to the counter to ring out. read more

I don't really care for this Sallys. Located at "The Plant" in Van Nuys, there are many low-end shops which attract tons of people. The parking lot is usually FULL and there are a lot of teenagers hanging around. The staff is not very helpful and are not very educated with their products. I buy a good amount of beauty products from Sallys like shampoo/conditioner, brushes and products for my nails because the prices are so cheap...but I would definitely go to another Sallys. This place needs to work on training their employees in customer service. One young Hispanic woman (wasn't able to get her name) had a nasty attitude. Gave my aunt total disrespect for no reason at all, my aunt asks her to smile and she says, "no, I don't have to smile!" The other employee at the register had a good attitude, but the other girl seems like she doesn't really want to work there. So Sally's should def look into hiring staff who take pride in their work and don't sit and disrespect their customers. Customers are the reason they have a job in the first place. read more

Sally has a new automated system that is pointless. It takes about a minute to get through to a actual person. I called and they answered and was quickly placed on hold. Waited 11 minutes. I hung up and called again. And no answer on their end. I called a third time and no answer. What's going on with Sally's that I can't get an answer. If you are not fully staffed and have an issue with answering the phone then don't have options to speak with a rep on the phone. The answer two my question couldn't have taken more than 45 seconds. Came in today knowing what I was looking for greeted by the sweet young girls that worked there. Once I encountered the manger Carolyn she was rude to me. I'm surprised by the rudeness due to her being in a high position. Literally never going to this place again. There was a white lady who was an employee(I am Hispanic) whom I asked for help and she rudely screamed in my face and said if I can wait till she finished doing something I wouldn't mind if she said it nicely but she was so rude. When she came to help us she was rushed and didn't even answer our question so we decided to do it ourselves and she came to walk pass by us about 10 times to make sure we weren't stealing, not only that but she checked my moms purse ! Imagine how uncomfortable and discriminated we felt. When we payed we were assisted by another young lady who was nice and we payed with a $50 bill in cash and she kept giving us dirty looks and stepped in to make sure the bill was not fake. I was searching for a certain product and was calling a few Sally's to find out if they had it. This was the third Sally's I called and while they had the product, it was not going on display for another month. But they were willing to sell it to me. I drove past two other Sally's to go there, she let me pick which ones I wanted and I was happy! I was very appreciative of this and the store was nicely laid out with their sale items very easy to find. read more

I love this store! the staff are always nice and helpful if you need them, and their manager helped me tons with figuring out how to correct my husband's hair and the way to go about dying it! I think one thing for sure for the customers is to make sure youre being nice to the staff, as your attitude will reflect the employees attitude. Treat them how you would like to be treated. We are all human beings and you should be reminded that people will reflect the same energy back to you that your giving them. read more

Been there many times now. Reasonably cheap prices for waxing stuff. Got the membership card. Worthy to buy it if you think you are someone who's going to be back frequently. Most of the items there have a regular price and a member pricing. Had good experience with the staff there. read more

YES, this Sally Beauty Supply store is in a bad location. BUT it is kept neat & tidy inside, signs & advertising is easy to read and see...Supplies are always stocked up. The ONLY thing I can say would be a good change is a few of the employees should try to be a bit friendlier, and smile a little more...everytime I have gone in there only one of the Employees seemed to be happy to be working there. But other than than that- this location isn't all that bad. I have been to worse locations. read more

To sum it up: awful customer service, very poor selection of products (especially in the waxing supplies section), employees have no knowledge of their products whatsoever (shopping here for my hair needs hasn't been exactly a walk in the park), they are very lazy too. Instead of gossiping ~ not necessarily in the English language ~ and giving out weird looks to the customers, maybe they should try to ask if the customers need help finding what they are looking for. If they don't have the product, it'd be nice offering to find a nearby store that has it or refer them to the website. (Cosmopro does a beautiful job at that ~ just an fyi) A little effort accompanied by a smile can go a long way! I can go on and on about my experiences over the years at this particular location. I don't enjoy writing bad reviews but I've reached a point where I've had it with their attitude at this location. The girl I dealt with today royally failed to answer my questions with patience and was very rude too.
