I just purchased two wigs without of thinking that in order to wear them I have to change my color completely or to wear a hat or a scarf (wigs are half cap, not full) so I left the store and as I'm driving to home being in the phone w my friend I decided to return them or exchange them with something else, I got back to the store ( it wasn't more than 15 mins since I left the store ) and the manager laughed in my face telling me that they don't exchange or refund ... I have never been treated so poorly in my life ... I'm not sure how they stay in business . This is a rip off , zero level customer service , I told her I will dispute the transaction she said that she already got my money .... What is that ? - Wish I could give no stars. Came here because I'm a braider and this was one of the closest beauty supplies near me. U have to ask the price on everything and make sure that it won't be up charged at checkout. -The manager is Very RUDE to black shoppers. -The girls behind the counter lack BASIC knowledge of hair supplies AND customer service. When I went to check out, one of the girls tried to call another customer before me when she saw me in line first. I immediately went up to the counter as well and said that I was first and that I wouldn't wait since it's actually my turn! She had a major attitude because of that but oh well. When she rang me up, the total was more than I hoped for so I asked her to go over the price of each item. She double charged me for 3 items! When I ask to speak with a manager -- BIG MISTAKE! I went in looking for a certain product, i haven't been able to find it. Although they did not have it in stock. It's good to know that they actually do sell it. Victoria from the moment i walked in she was super friendly and super patient. That girl knows her store from the left to the right to the front to the back. I asked her about the location of a few products and she knew exactly where they were. The exact spot. It was incredible. She made my shopping experience so great and easy. She is super friendly and although i was asking her a lot of questions about products and the hair that they had in stock she had so much patience for me. Came into this store today to get random hair items I needed for a style I was doing. Hardly anything in the store has prices. If you want to know the price you have to get it checked at the register. When I went to check out the girl working the register told me the prices and gave me my total. She then watched me go in my purse, grab my card and put it in the card machine. After handing me my receipt and asking me to sign it she tells me next time let me know before you put your card in. Frauds. Every single employee for they have shady practices going on. I picked out a wig a very specific wig one of the only curly hair ones. $300 later I walk out get home and it's not the same wig. I call they then tell me the lady that helped me will be there today at three so we can rectify the problem. I call after 4 and guess what..... she didn't show up and she's not answering her phone. Why would I need to speak to an employee about a return When I bought it from the store? I didn't buy it from her. Then they want me to wait for the owner of the store to come in? I wait finally I had enough and I called,, they won't answer the phone. so i now have to take extra measures waste my time instead of them fixing their issue to handle this by calling the Better Business Bureau. NOT black owned. Doesn't carry HARDLY ANY products for black hair. Extremely unprofessional. The employee forgot to ring up additional items and refused to refund the charge on my bank account. Instead of taking responsibility for her employee, and rectifying the problem, I was forced to call my bank and file a claim. Staff is not helpful at all. Store was not kempt. Messy, unorganized, and infested with cockroaches. The final straw was when I almost had a heart attack because a roach fell from the ceiling and landed on my shoulder. When I presented my Yelp check in offer the owner or manager (Asian guy ) says "Oh we don't have that anymore". And then tries to give me some hideous green nail polish marked "clearance". He said the Yelp offer holds no value . I asked him if he would just give me something else that I wanted ($3.99 value ). The girl behind the counter is nice and helpful and otherwise he was helpful also. I'll be honest, I was hesitant to try this store once I read some of the reviews stating that the employees stare you down or follow you around the store. I've have that happen in other places and it's absolutely annoying. Nonetheless since I drove across town to get here I went inside. When I waked inside I was greeted with a friendly "hi, welcome". I immediately noticed they had a lot of brands that are hard to find. It was product junkie heaven. Now there is an Asian lady that works at the front that always makes me feel like a thief staring at me asking me A bunch of questions about my returns. I like this store bc the policy from what I understand from the receipt is that just as long as the hair has not been opened and used I can return it. I change my hair a lot and frequently purchase a lot to make sure I don't run out and then return it when I go to purchase my next style. This time the woman says I cannot return it past one week. Went here this morning to purchase hair to get locks. This was my first time and I wasn't sure if I was purchasing the correct product so I asked if I could return it. I was told "sure it can be returned in 10 days it just has to be in the same condition". I have $54.70 worth of hair I didn't need and when I tried to return it I was told I could only get store credit. Ummmmm... I don't ever plan on returning to this store so I don't need store credit and I was told I could return it. That implies and always means it can be returned for a refund. There were no stipulations mentioned when I asked about returning it. I'm giving it one star because the girl that helped me, that gave me the wrong information, was helpful. Visited Wow Beauty Supply today and I must say the store is well stocked and clean. They had everything I came in for which was great. However, the three Star was for the Exceptional Service I received from Anthony, he was the associate that helped me find items in the store. I was looking at a few items and couldn't decide which one I wanted and Anthony was very patient and engaging. Now, here is the reason why I DID NOT give 5 Stars. As I approached the counter, Anthony walk up to the register to ring me up when a Gentleman at another register said I'll ring her up in a forceful voice, he looked to be maybe the Manager. Anthony then said, "I'll ring her up" the other Gentlemen started scanning my items. I wish I could say I felt special these two gentleman fighting over who would ring me up but, that was not the case. My opinion as a customers, it came across that the gentleman did not trust his employee enough to ring up my items, but it was very unprofessional of that Manager to exude that type of behavior in front of a customer. Mr. Manager, if that's a part of your Culture tone it down in the workplace. Please treat your employee with respect in-front of customers, you never know who you're serving. Whatever questions you may have, she has the answer! She signed me up automatically as a member when I checked out AND she gave me a gift! I came for a pot of wax. I have been on vacation and I have been unable to deal with my defective wig, see my 2-7-17 post. I spoke with John at Wow on Nordhoff today 2-18-17. I spoke with him and told him I was out of town and could not deal with the wig until now. He said that wigs are not returnable. I explained to him that I had the wig cut and I wore the wig out of the store without inspecting it. I trusted his sales person to sell me a non-defective product. He said that maybe they would do something about it. I gave him my phone #. He called me back within 5 minutes agreeing to replace the wig. I asked if the Wow staff would cut the replacement wig for me (I paid $ 15 for the cut). He said he did not want his stylist to cut it for me. I told him I paid for that service originally and it was part of the sale. He said I could bring the wig back next weekend and that the Wow staff would cut it for me. If this happens the way he says, it would be a more satisfactory experience and the store's actions would remove the 'sting' of being sold a defective product. read more
