I really debated on whether I should post this or not, I'm usually not one to complain or blast someone online but my visit really left me uneasy. I went in about a month or so ago to discuss botox and fillers with Dr. Cohen. He immediately went into this sales pitch about some permanent filler he does, which I ended up googling, and it hasn't even been approved by the FDA! I explained that I couldn't afford something that big, plus I'm in my mid 30's and just want to take care of some minor wrinkles. He got pretty passive aggressive and hostile saying that he could also add some concoction to my hair to fill in bald spots! I have full, thick, dark hair! Nothing close to balding! We eventually agreed on botox, although I wish I had just walked out instead of paying this awful, pompous, Napoleon complex, tiny man. He left the room with his nurse and I immediately heard him insulting her in the hallway. I overheard him say something along the lines of "Your job is to make me look good, if you can't do that I'll find someone who can." She came back in a few minutes later with the botox and set up a workstation for him. I could see that she had tears in her eyes and seemed really upset. I genuinely felt bad for her because she seemed so sweet. Again, I should have walked out, I shouldn't be supporting someone so unprofessional and rude. He popped back in a few minutes later with a fake smile, shot up my face, thanked everyone (including his nurse) and walked out. 10/10 the staff is great! Although I hope they all get wise and leave, nobody deserves to be treated so poorly. 0/10 Dr. Cohen is disgusting and I will not return because of what I observed. read more

Faces Plus is just an amazing Office for those of us who want to age gracefully. Dr.Leong and Dr.Cohen were very patient with me while I asked a million questions regarding alternative treatments. Like Nora Ephron, I HATED my neck. Well I learned that there are new treatments out there that aren't so invasive and with no downtime. This was important to me since I have a very busy schedule. I decided on Kybella and Voluma. Dr. Leong has a gift with her hands and my Kybella injections were painless as well as my Voluma injections. The change was slow which is what I wanted and I am so happy right now I just can't stand it!! These products and the entire staff are amazing!! I was born with a Cleft Lip and Palate , Dr. Cohen fixed my lip and has changed my life forever !

I came to Faces Plus after a friend underwent a rhinoplasty there (which ended up requiring a revision after her recommendation). After consulting with "Dr." Cohen, I went with Fraxel at his and his laser specialist's recommendation. I waited patiently for 30 minutes for the first of 4 sessions I purchased in advance, as they were clearly running behind. No biggie. Finally I was in, and a blue gel was applied to my face. While the nurse, Corey, was literally in the midst of performing my laser procedure, a knock came at the door and a receptionist popped her head in and told Corey her next patient had arrived. What was Corey going to do with that information?? Rush her current patient to get to the next one? It was completely unprofessional and unethical, and my first red flag. No one bothered to warn me of the possibility that I would remain smurf blue - so blue that I couldn't leave the house for 3+ DAYS. I tried to keep the faith, and was even using the esthetician there, who was lovely; however when I started noticing some hyperpigmentation she agreed that it may well be from the procedure and made an appt for me to see Dr. Cohen again. As I waited to see him I noticed someone leaving with severe facial scarring, a burn victim, I remember thinking, and my heart went out to him. I finally got in to see Cohen and explained my concerns to which he replied "It's not like you have cancer or heart disease." I guessed that the previous patient had gotten to him, too. Clearly he didn't know (or care, for whatever reason) how to treat me. Instead of just saying that he grew even more offensive and asked "How do I know you haven't been out laying in the sun?" I was taken aback and DONE with the dismissiveness, unprofessionalism and rudeness. Even the attending nurse seemed shocked at his treatment of me, which was worse than I have ever been treated by anyone I have hired for anything - much less a medical professional with whom I had placed my trust and paid $4,000. I never went back, and frankly will never forget how horribly I was treated at Faces Plus. Thankfully, I have seen some wonderful and highly professional San Diego physicians, dermatologists and surgeons since who have restored my faith and fixed the hyperpigmentation that I quickly learned was indeed caused by the Fraxel. If you are looking for ANY form of facial rejuvenation (I've since had some wonderful 'work' done), I highly recommend finding a physician who focuses on faces ONLY, and treats all his or her patients with respect and dignity. read more

In 2003 I got a breast augmentation. About 5 years ago, I started having shooting pains in my breasts when I slept at night so I decided to get my implants removed this year. I was terrified that I would end up looking deformed and/or super scarred like Frankenstein since I was a 32D and transitioning back to my natural size of 32 A+/B- (lol). The surgery involved removal of the capsule, removal of the implants, and a lift. I had very low expectations for my results given the challenging nature of the surgery. I scheduled a consultation with DR. AHMAD SAAD. He was knowledgable, kind, professional, understanding, and addressed all of my concerns. After my consultation, I checked out his background and training and was super impressed. He studied general surgery as a resident at Yale and then plastic and reconstructive surgery at UCSD. He also knows 4-5 languages, which is an aside but impressive nonetheless and shows his cultural diversity. Throughout the process, he walked me through everything step-by-step and it felt like he was holding my hand the entire way. Just before surgery, he drew lines on my torso to make his surgical plan. We discussed the golden ratio and how he would incorporate it to reconstruct my breasts and make them aesthetically pleasing. I'm a biomedical engineer and mathematician by training so of course I LOVED that he knew about the golden ratio! It was like working with a knowledgeable and skilled artist. I'm not sure which is his greater skill - his ability to integrate art and medical science or his caring and gentle way with patients! After surgery and at my follow up appointments, he was so gentle and attentive to my needs and offered the best care possible. My recovery was so easy and I can only assume this was at least in part due to his excellent care. I was off my pain meds completely by day 3 following surgery. And the best part? I could not have asked for better results! Everything turned out well above and beyond my greatest expectations. I have the most beautiful tiny ta-ta's a girl could ask for! I would post a picture but I'm too shy haha! I am only a couple weeks out from surgery and my scars are already healing really nicely. I think once they are healed completely they will be hardly noticeable if at all. In any case, I highly recommend Dr. Saad. He is truly a renaissance man and I would trust my closest family and friends under his care. read more

I can not say enough about how incredible and comfortable Dr. G, Gudrun, Estell, Dr. Marsh, and the entire staff at FACES+ Plastic Surgery make you feel. They are incredible when educating prospective patients on some very complicated (medical terminology) which made me feel even more relaxed and comfortable.
