We went in immediately because our annual vision insurance benefit was expiring on December 31, and we needed to complete the service as soon as possible before the benefit period ended. The frame had been purchased just three days earlier (Dec 19, 2025) and was brand new. At drop-off, we clearly told the staff member assisting us that: * the frame was purchased overseas just days earlier * it was difficult to replace * it contained a plastic insert and required extra care during heating We specifically asked that this be noted for the lab. We were told this would not be an issue, and based on that assurance, we proceeded. Despite this, their outside lab permanently heat-damaged one side of the frame during mounting. The damage is uneven -- one side installed properly while the other is visibly warped -- which indicates localized overheating (a preventable workmanship error, not a material defect). After the damage occurred, the business: * refused monetary compensation * offered only store credit under an "insurance" fee (this limitation was never disclosed before service) * attempted to shift responsibility to a third-party lab * minimized the damage by saying the frame was "still wearable" * later claimed the frame was "old/used/out of warranty," which is factually false We have since obtained reissued receipts, warranty proof, airline confirmation, and timestamped photos showing the frame was brand new and undamaged at drop-off. We also never spoke with the doctor who later responded to this claim -- he was not the person who assisted us that day -- so we don't know where the "used frame" story came from. Most concerning: after knowingly accepting a brand-new, overseas-purchased, non-replaceable frame -- and confirming they could safely perform the service -- the business tried to shift responsibility onto us by saying lenses should only be installed where frames are originally purchased, or that the manufacturer should replace frames damaged by labs. That's unreasonable. They accepted the frame, assured us they could handle it, and proceeded. We accepted reasonable risks like shipping loss or material defects. Negligent overheating during installation is not an unavoidable risk and should not be transferred to the customer. Based on the workmanship, lack of disclosure, and how responsibility was handled afterward, we cannot recommend this business.

Fought the awful Seattle traffic to get to this appointment. Virginia Mason has a stupid check in progress. You have to wait to check in on the ground level. You have about 6 desks, but two people have their faces glued to their monitor and one person slowly checking in the long line of people. Then, you have to go to your clinic and check in there. No one told me this before my appointment - I found out by accident and had to go back downstairs then back up to the clinic. I was told by the share too much lady at check in is that they want to make sure people have insurance check in downstairs before they come up! Pick a broken seat to wait your turn on, don't worry, they're all broken so take your pick. Now the eye doctor- WOW- I HAVE NEVER MEET A MORE DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE DOCTOR IN MY LIFE! She refused to let me tell her my eye past as it directly relates to my eye issue we are here to discuss. She proceeds to tell me how awful my eyes are, tears, holes, thinning, etc. I get it and I know- two other doctors have recently already told me this. She wouldn't let me talk so she continued. She told me, " you either put up with this problem or get surgery and not be able to see". Now do you want surgery?! I told her no, thinking was she really asking if I wanted surgery after all the negative talk about the surgery? Did it go over her head that she would be the last person I would want even doing my surgery?! With the answer of no to surgery, she grabbed her tablet and my papers, stood up without a word and stomped out of the exam room. My guess is she has trouble communicating- a curt, shut up and listen to the expert is her style. I guarantee that if she went with her mother or father to an eye appointment and they talked to them like that she would be up in arms. Sometimes just because you can doesn't mean you should. Dr. He- Jung S Park should not be a doctor- she doesn't have the ability to listen and speak with care to patients.

My son was in excruciating pain and I was trying to tend to him and get all info relayed they needed but it seemed like there was a lack of urgency. I noticed this with woman next to me also checking in and she was on verge of vomiting. But I was trying to hear right next to her. Maybe its the plexi glass but seemed like they could have spoken louder at checkin which would have helped move it along and get us all to treatment quicker. Dr Moen js 10 stars. Literally the best doctor I've encountered ever. My son broke his wrist and she was able to operate on him in Seattle then cast him in Issaquah a couple days later. She was too Notch and patient and covered most our questions before we even would ask them. She was also quick and efficient and has put my son on a fast track to recovery. There was confusion only from mychart where we didnt realize we needed to go to imaging first. But she alone is the reason I would give Swedish Issaquah a 10. The gift shop reminded me of a high end hallmark boutique. I could have stayed in there for hours. The starbucks was stocked and moved fast. But I understand things happen- that isn't even why I'm writing a poor review. Now there is some highlights at this hospital and I'm going to name them because they deserve it- unfortunately there was a nurse and cnas who ruined the whole experience. I will name them as well Upon check in Beth was the sweetest receptionist- she was reassuring and kind Once checked in and going thru all the pre op stuff I was lucky to have Chelsea. Chelsea was nice, comforting and fun. After my 9 hour surgery I was put on the 3rd floor where I was initially pretty out of it and in pain and nurse Olga helped with that right away to do her best to make me comfortable. Unfortunately, Olga had to leave for the night and that is when I experienced the worst nurse I have ever had. Nurse Emma. She talks nicely but she doesn't care about the patient. I was in extreme pain with medicine wearing off and my body had been through a lot... she told me she couldn't offer me any more pain meds and something about me going home. Which was the last thing on my mind when I was in such pain. She kept gaslighting me- in a very sweet voice mind you- I was in the most pain of my life. (And I've had 2 vaginal deliveries an ectopic pregnancy surgery and kidney stones etc) I was having extreme shooting pain and something wasn't right. She told me, "it's okay to be in pain" my first night in the hospital after a 9 hour major surgery by the way. Maybe she gets off on watching people be in pain? I'm not sure what she had against me. Come to find out- she hasn't checked my drain at all. And it was full. Filling back inside of me. And that was the reason for my pain. Thank god for the lead nurse- a nice Indian woman who treated me with dignity and respect. (Maybe Ferisha?) Who helped fixed the problem and even gave me a popsicle haha Emma told me she couldn't schedule narcotics when I asked about her checking regularly instead of me waking to intense pain and maybe not- but I knew my doctor wanted me comfortable and compared to the other nurses she was the only one who would not regularly come in to check or offer. She would straight up say she can't give me dilated (sp).. and okay she can give me 5mg of oxy and then in 2 hours give me 5 more instead of 10mg every 4. She treated me like a criminal. Or drug addict. Guess who never came back after the 2 hours. She was absent. After a 9 hour major surgery she was absent during the evening and when I was in pain she simply did not care and maybe even liked it. As soon as Olga came in for her morning shift she immediately changed things and made sure I was receiving pain medication. She gave me dilated and would check on me regularly. She is a nurse who cares. I learned this hospital trip you have to advocate for yourself- even if you feel bad pressing the nurse button. I requested to not have Emma again. Although it made me feel really bad for whoever would get her. And my doctor was so mad that I was denied pain relief. She said she was going to say I should have the tap administered type whenever I am uncomfortable but she trusted the nurses. Big mistake- it really was the worst time of my life. A nightmare. I ended up staying 2 more nights in the hospital. I was lucky enough to have Kristina the next 2 nights and Olga during the day again. Both are competent and caring nurses. Olga does a lot and doesn't have much support. Olga advocated for me and I felt overall very supported by her. Thankyou Olga. Kristina tolerated me well. And was very willing to get ice and make sure I was comfortable. My favorite staff member? Kaili. Who is a nurse but was working as an assistant my first full day. She brings energy, joy, care, fun, helpfulness and consideration. I wish I had her every day I was there! I wish she was my friend! Ha. She was amazing. She keeps your water filled and helps you. Response time via nurse button isn't timely- and they will scold you if your pee isn't clear enough and that you need to drink more water but keeping your water cup filled is something you have to advocate for constantly. I also was shocked that most new to me nursing assistants didn't even know what I was there for. Like no one is reading the summaries between each shifts... communication and collaboration and overall care is lacking in some of the staff of the 3rd floor. Overall, I won't choose this hospital again for surgery and post op care. Their ER is good tho. Shoutout to Pete
