Dr. Sandoval was recommended to me by my eye doctor and I could not be happier with every aspect of service and results. I've read all the previous posts here and they make me sad. Whoever worked reception previously is clearly not there anymore. Elenore went so far and above for me I just can't sing her praises enough! I had a time restriction, trying to get both cataract surgeries in before the end of the year. She worked closely with the surgical center and was able to coordinate with them to make it happen, even though the surgical center was unhelpful at one time. I felt like she really cared about my needs. She was a joy to talk with on the phone and in person. So helpful! Dr. Sandoval was fabulous. My spouse (a PhD scientist) came with me to the evaluation and was also very impressed at Dr. Sandoval's precision and outstanding explanations. I felt unhurried, heard, and that he covered every option and possible side effect without pushing me in any particular direction. It was so easy to talk with him and understand his explanations. During surgery, I was put at ease every step of the way. It was a fascinating experience for me. He took the fear and mystery out of the surgery, even answering my questions during it! I wish I could award more stars than 5. I can't imagine how this experience could possibly have been better. I've visited this location parking was difficult because the parking lot was very busy there was no signage up yet so I wasn't for sure where I was going I passed it like three times when I got inside the receptionist was very helpful but yet she was overwhelmed and multitasking way too many things at one time when I got in with the physician he was very nice but I felt he was condescending and spoke down to me and kept blaming things on my age for middle-age women I walked out of there feeling like I didn't get any answers so if I have to pick an optometrist or give a five star rating it would not be for this location for this business. Dr. Sandoval performed eyesight improvement procedure for me about 18 months ago (May of 2023). I had two procedures, one for each eye with before and after appointments. I thought for a long time before having this done. I did my own research and was significantly impressed with the knowledge and expertise Dr. Sandoval displayed during my consultation visit. Dr. Sandoval was very informative about what was going to be done and what to expect. He answered all of my questions, most of them before I even asked! I was told that every elective procedure has upsides and downsides. If there is a downside, I have not experienced any yet. My vision is 20/20, without glasses, no issues whatsoever. Dr. Sandoval and his office staff were informed and organized. My schedule is tight due to work and the office staff made all the appointments before and after for each eye when I chose to move forward so everything regarding my schedule was the least disruptive for me. During my next day appointment following both procedures Dr. Sandoval made me feel welcome to call for any issues. I never needed to call for issues, but it made me much more comfortable knowing I could if it was needed. I made several calls to the office before the first eye procedure, and everything was explained clearly with patience without using "medicalese" that I wouldn't have understood and without talking "down" to me. After, the staff kindly let me know the information I was asking was on the material I already had, never once sounding impatient or telling me to read what I was given or make me feel that I was "bothering" them with unwanted calls. When I needed to call to make any payment or ask about what was due and when, I was treated with knowledge and efficiency, the staff knew what I needed to pay and would send a receipt for my records. Strong recommendation if your eyes are garbage and want an insightful and genuinely caring doctor to make them to be less garbage. Flexible scheduling, attentive staff starting from phone connections to discussions with the doc himself. I enjoy coming here because Dr Sandoval seems to really care about helping you get better, and does so through informative teaching, and offering options for next steps with a clear explanation of all pros and cons. I am in the process to file lawsuit against dr.Bary Sandoval for ***discrimination***. He had seen me only once. Since recently I am in need of cataract surgery I asked my primary provider to send referral to him. Dr.Bary Sandoval office called my provider ( message is recorded) and said to refer me to someone else. When I called them to know why. They said he declined to see me. They could have called me and provide me the reason and ask me to other doctor. I asked them to provide me the reason for the decline. I have not got any so far. It is a discrimination against my ethnicity, religion, skin color, my insurance. I am a south Asian brown skinned Muslim female wearing head scarf. Of course I will not go back to him. The receptionist is extremely rude. I have never been treated so poorly and disrespectfully by a doctor's office than at this facility. The facility has moved three times in the past three years without any notice to their patients. The nurses and the receptionist have no social skills whatsoever and I will not be returning because of them. I walked in last week to my appointment because somebody opened the door for me downstairs and when I came upstairs I was rudely told that I should not be up there and I needed to go back down and wait in my car. A kind explanation would have sufficed, but she was rude and heartless. Every doctor's office is different when it comes to Covid and not once was the protocol texted or emailed or communicated to me. How was I supposed to know. The call button was so darn confusing and when a gentleman was coming out he said good luck, it doesn't work, I'll let you in. When I came in June 2020 I saw a nurse who was also rude and made me feel so uncomfortable. No results were shared and I did not even see or hear from the doctor. This is so unfortunate because I really enjoyed meeting the doctor during my first visit and I felt like it was a good match and I was getting answers. I will be looking for another physician and I will not refer anyone to this doctor. If you want to be successful, you need to have a welcoming office staff that cares about the patients just as much as the doctor does. read more

I Will not suggest to go to the eye Institute, Worst service I have never seen, I have been contacting the office from past 90 days about my bill. They never care and will keep on sending the bills with no reason even though I didn't have official visit with appointment. All fraud people, No one cares and office staff is horrible never care about patient problem. Waste of time, be aware that all bills they generated are fraud which my insurance doesn't have any clue when I call them and they will be no response from staff when you contact asking for billing questions. read more

Dr. Sandoval is the most thorough eye doctor I've seen across 3 states. I appreciate that he "geeks out" over eye health - you want a doctor who is excited about what they do. I saw him first for a chalazion that needed cut out of my eyelid and I am happy to say that the procedure went smoothly, and it cleared up 100% and never came back. When I got a sudden floater recently there was no question about who I would see about it, Dr. Sandoval monitored it, taught me about it, and I'm happy to say it's no longer something my brain notices - exactly as he said would happen. read more

Just saw Dr. Sandoval a few weeks ago, and after opting for a cycloplegic refraction they gave me the wrong prescription. It's been absolutely impossible to get a dialogue with him directly to have my questions answered or get another cyclopegic refraction to get the correct reading for my prescription - while Dr. Sandoval offered great in person service - customer service after they have billed your insurance seems to be terrible at best. read more

Very very bad experience. We have 11 am appointment and based on their instruction, we got there 15 minutes earlier then called the front desk to check in. Then we waited outside to be called in( because of Covid-19). By 11:10am, we haven't received any call, we called the front desk again. They told us the appointment has been cancelled since they cannot reach us. We gave two phone numbers to receptionist and neither of the phone showed that they called. Either they forgot to call or they called wrong number. When I questioned the receptionist when she called and what number she called, she said she was busy and hung up the phone. And she did have my right phone number, because we talked over the phone couple of time before. They called us and asked us to reschedule our appointment previously . Ok, when you needed to reschedule our appointment, you could reach us without any problem. But when we need to get in the office, you cannot reach us? and we already checked in, how can you just cancel our appointment? read more

I was quite impressed with the amount of time Dr. Sandoval spent explaining the laser procedure and what kinds of things my husband could to expect and the patience he showed as he answered the questions we had. I am hopeful that my husband's eye will heal quickly and any, potential future detach retina, he might have, will be cared for in good hands.
