Don't use him. He is SCAM artist at its finest. Had him out for a dishwasher repair and he was on his phone the majority of the time which wasn't the greatest first impression. I figured as long as he knew how to fix it that was something I could overlook. He wanted 350 down and I would pay the remaining 150 when he came back in a week. I wrote him a check, but he didn't give me a receipt. A week later when he was supposed to arrive he was a no-show. That's when I got a tad nervous. Our washer was having trouble in the spin cycle. The technician came over and said it was a sensor on the keyboard that needed to be replaced. Said if he the ordered the part that day it would be in on the following Tuesday. And that he needs a down payment of $208, which i paid. I called Tuesday and the owner asked me for the model number so he could locate the part. I sent him a screen shot of the model number and that was the last I ever heard from the guy. I've tried calling and texting mulitple times. Ill pay the $85 service visit fee and am just requesting the $123 be refunded. This negative writeup could have avoided for the $123. I believe that the part wasn't ordered, he just took the money and ran. Update: Turns out the washer just needed to be recalibrated. A 30-minute fix. Don't waste your time (we've wasted ours since May 2, 2022) and the repair wasn't completed until today, July 18, 2022. Tech came out and said we needed a new ice maker so he ordered the part. When he came to install he had ordered the WRONG part. When he attempted to remove the ice maker he said it was "frozen" in place - NOT - he didn't know how to remove it (he left a screw in place that should have been removed) - I watched a You Tube video and figured that out. The second part he ordered was also WRONG so he finally took a picture of the part number and re-ordered for the 3rd time. POOR customer service and communication. Part finally came in. He notified via text and said "part is in" so I texted back "can you install soon" and his answer was "yes sir" BUT NO TENTATIVE DATE GIVEN. After several texts back and forth, 10 days after the part came in it finally got installed. We've all become accustomed to waiting longer than we should to get things done due to the pandemic, however, there is no excuse for poor customer service. If you keep the customer adequately informed they can deal with the delays, but to not communicate just makes the customer frustrated. My experience with Factory Appliance Repair Service (Mike) was the worst. This guy came into my house, took my refrigerator apart, took some pictures, said I needed a new fan and heater, pretended to order some parts on his cell phone, told me the total bill would come to $600 but would require a $400 deposit. He didn't write anything up or give me a receipt and yet I still trusted him and handed over a check for $400 - bad on my part! He used my bathroom and took a shit without flushing. He said he would return in 2 days but never showed, cashed my check and ignored my many text messages. I called the Loves Park Police and the officer that came to my door told me that he had delt with Factory Appliance Repair guy (Mike, Dewayne and/or Dane) just 3 months prior. Too bad I didn't read all these bad reviews prior to handing over my $400. I hope someone reads this before they hire this crook. I called this company to come repair my stackable washer dryer unit. He came and looked at it and said it needed a new timer. He also stated the part would be between 200 and 300 for the part and another 200 for labor. He said he needed 300 right then or he wouldn't order the part. I gave him the 300 to order the part. So many problems with this guy. He was scheduled to come on a Monday my husband stayed home and waited all day, when I called him at the end of the day he told me I was scheduled for Tuesday, not true. I couldn't stay home on Tuesday so we rescheduled for Thursday. He came Thursday and was very abrupt and I just got a bad feeling about him, also he was getting continuous calls from another customer who was very angry.... should have been a red flag. He told me he needed to order parts and I needed to give him a $250 deposit, stupidly I did so and did not get a receipt. He called me from the driveway and said he had to order parts from Amazon. The following Wednesday he calls me and is asking about the model number etc.... he had not even ordered the parts yet! Previously he had told me that parts were ordered and should be in by 6/2. He kept talking about how there are so many shipping problems. At this point I decide I am buying a new machine and ask to cancel. He says he will refund me $150 of the $250 I gave him (and he cashed the check right away before he even ordered the parts). With no service agreement or itemized breakdown of cost, we were required to put half the estimated cost down for parts, and told service would be completed within 5 days. On the 5th day I had to contact them to find out about schedule; no response until 3 hours later then I'm told the part needed to "be ordered from the factory" which would take "a few weeks". Already dissatisfied with everything and having NO service agreement/commitment (except MY MONEY) I call to cancel service but have to leave a VM. No response. Texted 3 times, no response, text again the following day and finally get a response that the "part was ordered" (which I was previously told would take "a few weeks"???). Called to explain again that we were not using the service, get VM, then get a text saying "parts are ordered and paid for". Called again and finally got an answer which devolved quickly into an argument and an "explanation" including how "this is not 1955, it doesn't work that way", ending with him hanging up on me. Called back, again an argument during which I was called "a child" and hung up on a 2nd time. Called again and I simply offered to pay for a service fee for which I was given no explanation of what it covered and admittedly was a figure that he "chose in the middle" of "typical cost". I spent $275 trying to get my dishwasher repaired and it was a horrible experience and I still have a broken dishwasher . Do not use this company because the technician is very rude and very unreliable and unprofessional . Now I have to probably leave my dishwasher like it is or get another one or just wash dishes by hand thanks to the horrible customer service I received from this man I don't even want him in my house again . We had a late model front-loading dryer that stopped working. The so-called tech took the machine apart into dozens of pieces then said he could not fix it and left, leaving me with only a shell of a dryer. He did not even try to put it back together. He left me with the machine's drum, the belts the top, the front the touch controls, and dozens of screws laying all over the floor. Had to find someone else just to put the machine back together so it could be taken out of the house. This place is a joke.
