I called Fade and Cut the day prior to schedule an appointment and was booked with Devin for 0900 the next morning. I arrived at 0850 out of respect for the appointment time. At 0907, I received a text saying he was running late. I remained patient and gave the benefit of the doubt. However, by 0944, there had still been no follow-up, no revised arrival time, and no apology for the delay. I finally texted that I was leaving. Only then did he respond that he was "10 minutes away" or that I could come back later. Being 45 minutes past a scheduled appointment without proper communication is completely unprofessional and shows a clear lack of respect for a customer's time. Customer service is very poor and unorganized I called prior and set an appointment, and I'm a news reporter and had to be on tv at a certain time and needed a beard cleanup before going on tv. When I walked in there was only one barber cutting someone's hair, he hardly looked at me, did not say welcome in, did not ask if I had an appointment, did not greet me or smile at me whatsoever I felt like I was invisible. First time coming and probably my last. They seem like they do a good job on hair and beard, but if that genuine connection isn't there I rather grow my hair out. I lived in the apartments that this shop is located in, which is how I found it. It was really convenient, the shop itself looks nice enough, (acoustics are horrible though,) and they used to have beer and other refreshments in a fridge which was nice, but this last time it was just water which is still cool. I've gotten a few good cuts, some that were just alright, and one that wasn't that great. Customer service during the haircut was usually decent at least, but was sometimes a little awkward when entering or calling. Usually calling this place isn't super professional, and then when you show up, sometimes they seem aloof and confused or like they don't expect customers to come in. I called to request someone based on their availability on the website, they said they'd call back because they couldn't find him. I called back 40 minutes later and they were passing the phone around and finally said the guy wasn't there, so I took somebody else. When I showed up, the guy I called for was there, but I was already scheduled with someone else. They did a decent job, but there was a barber there this time who was going off about my barber coloring his hair. He kept asking when they could color it, and repeatedly addressed them about it. He was getting worked up aggressively talking about it, emphasizing with "Ni**a!" He said it a few times, more and more aggressively. Since he was being belligerent and annoying, they were kind of brushing him off, and then he said "F*ck all this sh*t!" He was actively cutting a clients hair during all of that. Thankfully he shut up after the other barber told him to chill, but then he kept puffing huge vape clouds and it blew all over us. Dude was getting so worked up about coloring his hair I don't think I will go back here now. I get that a lot of barbershops are laid back and stuff but I'd rather go somewhere else. read more

I came in here for two reasons.. Mainly because we have been really low on extra money and I saw they accepted credit... Another reason is because the reviews were all great! I did not get what I asked for really at all if I am being honest which hurts a bit extra because cause my last cut (which was at a completely different place), was AWFUL! Life's been kicking my ahhh lately and I really wanted/probably more so needed a confidence boost.. but my new cut highlights my balding spots and is almost two inches shorter than I had hoped/asked for.. This is my first ever bad review for a haircut and I feel awful about it (hence the 5 stars still) But I'm just too sad about it not to tell others. She insisted I didn't pay for it after I told her I was unhappy with it though! I felt bad but I really intended to pay with my credit card and tip with some of the little cash I have.. Just recently started going here to get a cut from Devin. I highly recommend getting a cut here. They're always playing good music, and there's even a pool table and a golf simulator if you wanna play while you wait.
