He and his partner were communicative, kind, trustworthy, knowledgeable and skilled at what they do. They worked on our car repair in the pouring rain with no complaints! I brought my 2002 GMC Sierra 2500 Duramax to him with multiple issues and he was excellent from start to finish. He diagnosed a bad vacuum pump, found an AC compressor leak, replaced glow plugs, and fixed a broken transmission dipstick tube. He also cleaned up a bunch of oil underneath the truck while he had it apart. What really impressed me was how transparent he was. He sent me photos, videos, and updates explaining exactly what he was seeing and what needed to be done. No guessing, no pressure, and no unnecessary upsells -- just straight, honest communication. The AC is now blowing ice cold (around 40°), the truck runs great, and everything was done at a fair price. He even skipped charging labor on a small part replacement, which says a lot about his integrity. It's a family-owned shop that he runs with his dad, and you can tell they actually care about doing things right and treating customers fairly. Good diesel mechanics are hard to find. Honest ones are even harder to find. I'll definitely be bringing my vehicles back here and recommending them to anyone who needs diesel or auto work done.

He told me they were going to work on it right away and so I said great! After confirming that the water pump had broken and that they could have it repaired the same day I was very surprised and impressed. I did get a little concerned with the estimate but up to this point everything had gone better then expected so I went ahead and told them to get it repaired. Later that afternoon I got a call telling me that The job was done so I went in and picked it up after they let me know about a payment option which I qualified for and all was good again in my life!! The job carries a two year or 20,000 mile warranty and I even had my original cost for the inspection returned to me which I needed. I highly recommend dirks transmission and repairs to anyone with a small to large repair and need it done quickly and with complete professionalism. I wanted to post an update as of the end of the week of the repairs being completed and I did take my car back to Dirks because of a smell of antifreeze and just wanted to be safe. So there was a small leak in a heater hose that went undetected during the final pressure test performed. Omar told me to bring it in and we can take a second look so I did and it does happen, there was a small leak in a heater hose and it needed to be replaced as well. The free rides they provided me really were a HUGE help, and the office staff (I'm so sorry I can't remember names!) are super friendly and efficient. I was in a bind with an alternator that went out and, as with Lexus, the factory one was pretty pricey. Being honest, the lady on the phone told me they won't install anything other than OEM for something like an alternator when I told her I couldn't really afford it at that time and asked if they'd install a cheaper non-oem one. So she then did some more digging and was able to save a lot of money on an OEM she found but it wouldn't arrive until the next day and then they'd install it. I was so thankful. BUT THEN! She called a few hours later and said that the owner actually went out and found one locally and picked it up for me, it wasn't the cheaper price but they still honored the price AND my car was already done and ready to pick up! This saved me from having to arrange for a ride from and to work from Paradise the next day to pick up my car. Just outstanding customer service and great work. There's no pressure and they really really know what they're doing. I would take any car there they'd work on, not just Toyota/Lexus. My mother in law also has taken her Toyota there for over 15 years. I very highly recommend them.
