Thanks to Tam's team who were very professional and knew exactly how to help. My car failed a smog test at another shop simply because it had an aftermarket catalytic converter. The tester didn't bother to check whether it was CARB compliant, even after I showed him a picture of the OE number on it. I was referred to Fair Oaks Auto, so I went there and explained the situation to Tam (owner). Lui, from Tam's team, went under the car, took a clear picture of the converter, and checked its details on the CARB website. I usually come here for my oil changes. My fiancée pointed me to this place, and I couldn't be more thankful. All the gentlemen that I've encountered are friendly and to the point. I ask for a oil change, and they deliver. No hidden agendas and fees. I believe they charge me around $40-50 for synthetic oil. They also do the typical basic checks...tires and such. Sonny always takes the extra effort to show me what the manufacturer site says is needed then I just leave my car there and walk home.
