Dropped off my car at another shop to have F&R rotors/pads replaced. They performed a general inspection and noticed the oil pan had been replaced. That part was fine since Le's did the work. However, they discovered one of the oil pan bolts was missing and some of the bolts were replaced with different ones. They didn't look original or similar to the others. What the heck?! I took my car here because I needed a smog test and it was open when I needed. It took almost an hour to be told there was a loose vacuum hose and I needed to reattach it (10 second job) and return the next day. I've taken my car to this shop before, only because it had good Yelp reviews. Well I am very displeased with the work they have been doing on my Minicooper for the issues they say I recently have. I keep an eye on my oil level pretty regularly, only for them to tell me I had no oil and they had to do an oil change. ??? hmmm I never had so many things needing repair before I took it to this shop. It was one thing after the other. And my car has not run the same since I been taking here to these guys. Now I can't drive it too far because they said the turbo is bad and needs replacing. Expensive!!!! So far i've spent a small fortune on labor and parts that they say I needed. I feel like I been ripped off and have even thought about suing. Because of taking my car here, I am currently looking for another car. My Minicooper does NOT run the same at all. And instead of running better after all the work they've done, it runs worse. I have been taking my cars to Le's for about 10 years now. I find Le's work to be consistent, honest and very competitively priced. My Honda has 170k miles on it and I figured I should get my timing belt replaced. Honda recommends that I get my belt replaced around 100k miles and I couldn't remember ever changing it. So I dropped off my car at Le's and asked him to replace the timing belt. When I went back to pick up the car, Le informed me that my timing belt had already been replaced and I have another 80k miles to go. He instead found a gasket leak and changed that gasket. I must have changed the belt about a year back and forgotten all about it. I knew my car had a leak but I was putting off fixing the leak. Le could have easily charged me for the timing belt job (which was $500 more than the cost to replace the gasket). But he didn't. I love working with honest people that deliver good service. I don't know how this place got so good reviews. I'll just state what happened to me. Basically it's lying about service that I don't need and bad service manner. So my car started to make some scratching noise after a trip to Monterey beaches. I did some research and thought it's due to brake needs to be replaced, so I brought it in. Here is what happened, 1. I talked to the boss about this, a friendly Asian gentleman. He said sure, give me 15 minutes I'll take a look for you. Well I didn't have an appointment and I thought it needs to wait for the lift or something, so I simply waited there. 2. After 20 minutes my car is still sitting there, I asked him again. He then asked a crew to take a look. Who literally spent 5 seconds visually checking my rear brake with a flash light, then saying yeah your brake has gone metal to metal, that's why the noise. Weirdly the noise has gone by the time I took the car to the shop. They couldn't explain, said maybe it's due to the temperature change. 3. I didn't have 2 hours to wait there so I left. Later I hired someone from a auto repair website to change the brakes. To my surprise, the mechanic said your brake is still good. He even showed me with his brake measure tool as well as some replaced brakes, and I can clearly see that all brakes are indeed good. He said the noise can come from dust or sand, which perfectly explained why the noise only happened after my seaside trip and later on suddenly gone. So, what could have happened, I could have dump-fully believed what the guy at this shop told me and pay them $200 for something I don't need. This is so messed up. read more

Mr. Le is an honest man and a master mechanic, and he runs an outstanding shop. His crew is very small but very experienced, and I'm certain his expertise can only further solidify that. My grandfather is a retired ASE certified master mechanic, and I see his knowledge and passion for cars in Mr. Le. Have no doubt that you will be treated fairly and professionally when you bring your ride to Mr. Le and his crew. Although I've been here multiple times for minor and major repairs, this time around my visit was just for basic maintenance. I brought my 2010 Suzuki Kizashi in for an oil change and vehicle inspection. My car was ready in the time frame I was advised and for a lower cost than expected. Easily a competitive number against most any oil change shop, and I didn't need to hunt for a coupon beforehand. All service, no bullshit. That's what I love about Mr. Le. He didn't have the filter kit on hand for transmission service, but I'll be scheduling that as soon as the parts come in. A truly great mechanic is hard to find nowadays. I've come out of retirement from writing reviews on yelp just to give props to Le's auto Repair. I went to Le's the first time to help my GF change her break pads. Typically auto shops will somewhat replace all of it when you tell them to replace all of it. Mr. Le came back and said I just changed the front ones you still have 60% left on the back come back in 6 months 8 months. Right there I knew I could trust me just from his recommendation. He will break down the parts prices for you and labor. The turnaround is very quick. Fast forward today: I needed to get my water pump replaced. I've called other auto shops. I would list the names, but that would be unfair to bash on a shop when I never went through the repair with them. Anyways other shops were asking 800 dollars 900 dollars. They were already quoting me on other items that may need to be replaced because of the water pump leak. I called Mr. Le, I gave him my car model and year he quoted me right away 300 dollars. He gave me the options from expensive parts or cheap parts. overall I paid 79 dollars for the water pump, Charged me for the coolant, and labor. His quote was 3 times lower than any shops I have asked. Check him out visit his website and give him a call. He is definitely one of the last honest people that wants to help repair cars at a fair price. You are not going to get the best environment there is no waiting area its just a shop that fixes cars so don't expect a lobby to sit in and wait for your car. Had to jumpstart my battery (5 years old) twice within a week so I brought it in January. Had it checked, quoted fairly (at least based on my prior research), replaced and got few minutes after. No loud sales pitches or drama. I will come there again for future service/repair. Would be nice if the parking lot is a bit spacious (I just think it could be a challenge for a new driver) but most service shop lots are like that so not a big deal. These guys plain rock. Very reasonable prices. Yes, the garage is in the back, but it's really not the confusing to find, especially with the big sign up front. Seriously, screw the dealerships and the fancy waiting rooms and free coffee and wifi, this is a no nonsense solid place that does good work at reasonable prices. He did all the work, as quoted, and even fixed a few small things as well, like adding brake fluid, air in my tires, and power steering fluid. This wasn't asked, he just did it, and didn't even brag about it after! What a guy! It would be a five star for all the above, but I have to take one star away for the lack of communication, ie, they didn't call when my car was ready, and I had to call about 20 times on a Sat, as the phone was off the hook most of the day. 2 hours before close, I finally got through to ask on the status, and found out it was ready. (plus it took an extra day without notifying me) I'll easily take my car back, as Le is the best, but I just need to call more I guess. Never wanted to pressure a mechanic when they work on my car. I think of it like annoying a food server, you just don't do it, unless you want your food messed with too. Hints: Just talk to Le. The mechanics are great, but they are not the most fluent, seemed like nice guys though. I found Mr. Le on Yelp. I went to see him because my car was smoking up and I was not sure why. I left my car there, I gave him a phone call to check up on my car status, he told me it was the radiator hose, and then told me that he was able to replace it and that it will be done by the end of day. The pricing was incredibly reasonable and fair and he was able to turn around parts really fast. He even walked through what he did and showed me how it happened and what was wrong to begin with. Recently, I needed to take my Tahoe in to fix a coolant leak. It was a Sunday, so I spent some time searching for an Auto Repair close to my office. I found Le's as one that received all 5 star reviews on Yelp so I decided I would try calling in the next morning to see if he could fit me in the schedule. Fast forward to Monday morning, and I called the shop and was talking to Mr. Le himself. He said bring the car in no problem, and he would help me out. Once I arrived, I told him of the great reviews on Yelp, and how it seems (at least from the reviews) that he is one of the last honest mechanics. He chuckled, but moved straight to my car and had a look. He told me the water pump and thermostat had to be replaced, and while he went to get an estimate, I checked online to see the approximate price for myself. What do you know? He gave me an estimate that was lower than I found. All repairs were done on time and at a great price, and after more than a week since the repairs, nothing has leaked. Of course, that's what we expect, but its always good to write a review after you know the problem is fixed. At Le's, you won't find an elaborately designed waiting room, and you won't get your car back detailed. However, I would rather depend on great repair work at a great price, and I can get my car washed myself. Since there really isn't a place to wait for your car to be finished, I just walked up the street to 7/11 (on Mary/Evelyn) and got a coffee and waited for my ride. So, if you want a fair price and an honest mechanic, Le's Auto is the place to go. read more

Le's doesn't do alignment's, but was willing to do the oil change, take the car over to get the alignment done, bring it back, and then just charge us for the whole thing. Sweet! I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said about Le's Auto - excellent service at an excellent price INDEED. I was looking for a decent autoshop near my house and had narrowed it down to 3 on Yelp. I emailed those 3 to a friend who has lived here for 25+ years and he said he would have suggest Le's before I sent him the list. So I went in. They had my car up and were looking at it almost immediately. I had a rough estimate and was on my way in under 15 mins. The repairs they were talking about doing scared me at first, but when they gave me the estimate I was like, "Done!" Turn around was fast too - and they kept me in the loop. I took it in on Monday. They called me on Tuesday to let me know they had finished most of it and were just waiting on a part to come in. Called me again on Wednesday to tell me to come pick it up.
