Discovered Dr. Mohamed through a friend of mine who has been in the dentistry business for about a decade. I trust her judgment and glad to have discovered this place! Located in the shopping plaza next to Raley's, the dentist office is very no frills and is immaculate - very clean, no dust anywhere, no weird stains, unlike other dentist offices I've been to. They also have decent magazines (this is important to me)! While some dentists don't do root canals or they prefer to refer you out, Dr. Mohamed does them in the office if you need one. His technique is different from another place I went to and, in my opinion, more thorough. He even discovered a strange anomaly I have with my teeth - I have hidden roots. Another dentist did not find this and I had to go back to this dentist for a re-endodontic procedure (basically another root canal) because it wasn't found the first time. However Dr. Mohamed found these hidden roots of mine when I had to have yet another root canal. I have had to call Dr. Mohamed for a dental emergency and he called back straight away. At yet another dentist I used to go to, I would never got a call back and writhed in pain for an entire weekend even with painkillers. Customer service is a big thing for me when it comes to my teeth! The hygienists and receptionist are extremely professional. You do get a discount for paying with cash or check, but unfortunately they do not take CareCredit. They can also arrange monthly payments (finally finished paying off my root canal). So glad I FINALLY found a dentist I can trust! read more

I've been going to fair oaks smile for a couple years now on a recommendation from family. Dr. Mouhammed has been more than helpful and his staff was always friendly. I was notified that I would need an implant performed on one of my teeth. They ran my insurance and said it would be covered at %100 and we scheduled he appointment. I had the procedure performed and all that was left was putting the actual implant in two weeks or so later. As I am about to go back to have the procedure finished the receptionist notifies me that I owe over $1,300.00 before being seen and asked if I can pay up front. Are you serious? They just told me it would be covered at %100 and then they tell me they made a mistake and they're sorry. Worst dentist and staff...this is borderline illegal. Just received a letter in the mail with a collection agency coming after me now for the amount they said would be covered. Avoid fair oaks smile at all costs...don't get stuck with their shady business practices the way I have. read more

Like most people, I have been avoiding dentists as much I could. I finally got the courage to make an appointment with Fair Oaks Smile. I informed them ahead of time about my fear of dentists and when I arrived, everyone was very sensitive and understanding to my situation. They were extremely accommodating. I have been visiting Dr Mohamed for 4 years. Started with a a special on cleaning and x-rays from a mail flyer. I have had a partial made, four teeth extracted, a root canal. two crowns, and an implant. Never any cost surprises. One time he reduced the fee because the teeth were easier to extract than he expected. I can't imagine there is better or nicer dentist around. read more
