We have a bunch of family that lives close but decided to book a room since we would be in Canton. Plus, I wanted to see some of the local sites. Checkin is at 4pm but was able to get in a bit early at 3pm. We were warmly greeted with a little gift bag of water and the famous double tree cookies. The hotel was recently renovated and they did an excellent job. It looks great. As a Diamond member, we lucked into a complementary Hilton Honors upgrade to a King Suite! I absolutely love when that happens and really appreciate it. The room was amazing. Comfy bed and plenty of space with the main room, the bedroom, and the bathroom. I really liked that the bathroom had that separate private toilet. If you have the Hilton Honors app you have TV controls built in. The room had a full size ironing board, two HD flatscreens, and a mini fridge. The hotel has an excellent fitness center and an indoor pool. We even worked in some indoor pool time this cold snowy December. I would absolutely stay here again. Only downside was the bedroom thermostat was offline and it was a bit cold (but the living room still worked, and oh there no hot tub. It looked like they made it a planter). We opted for the parking garage for a $8 fee which was so reasonable. Morning coffee is offered in the lobby and good food in the hotel restaurant. Definitely leaving 5 stars for quality and staff!

We were the only guests this past weekend. It is on a nice, quiet residential street and we parked on the street in front. Louie was very hospitable and friendly, explaining everything we needed to know about staying in his house. There are also a lot of informational notices about the house rules around, such as what is included in breakfast and tips. The house is very cozy and clean; our bed was comfortable. The bathroom very clean as well. There is also a half-bath on the main floor. He has some high-end perks, including a Dyson fan in our bedroom that I appreciated as I normally sleep with a fan on. The lamp has charging outlets. Breakfast is DIY, offering hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, juice, bread for toast, granola, oatmeal, bananas, and granola bar-type snacks. The coffee station has a fancy coffee maker with several coffee packet selections for an extra fee of $2 and up. He has Chobani creamer in the fridge (yum). There are also cold drinks in a glass-front cooler for extra charges, and you can use Venmo or cash. I bought a bottle of Norka root beer (Akron spelled backwards) to take home. We did not use the hot tub in the backyard, but there is an extra charge to use. It is large enough for multiple people. He has a seating area on the back patio as well. At Cutty's Sunset they had a "cage" that was pulled behind a tractor. It was used for their hay rides. My friend and I went to look at it the night we got there and a few other kids showed up. We talked for a while, and went our own way. We were really looking forward to that hay ride the next night. All the sudden the next day the "cage wagon" had a flat tire and the kids we met said that we "slashed" the tire with our knives. The ride was canceled and the cops showed up. They wanted to arrest us. It wasn't until my Dad took both knives and demonstrated that even HE couldn't get one of those knives to puncture the tire, that the cops let us go. A short while later Someone looked at the tire and found out it hadn't been slashed, it had a bad valve stem and the air leaked out. We were told to leave and never come back. Terrible place.

When I finally got through, I was told someone would bring us toilet paper and a clean ice bucket "as soon as they could" because they were busy checking in guests. While I understand they were busy, these issues should have been addressed before the room was rented to anyone. At that point, we didn't feel comfortable using the drinking glasses or other items in the room because cleanliness was already a concern. The dinner buffet was acceptable if you're simply looking for a buffet, but ordering a regular meal was disappointing. The breakfast buffet was also very underwhelming. Overall, this was not the quality of stay we expected for the price we paid, and unfortunately, we would not stay here again

Our room was in need of a complete renovation. The air conditioning only worked when it felt like it so we had to open the windows on 2 of the nights just to cool down enough to sleep. In addition, this is the first hotel I've ever stayed in that didn't have a clock in the room or a microwave. The shower curtain rod was severely rusted and the toilet seat had been recently replaced but the nylon bolts used to secure it were the wrong size which didn't allow the covers to close over them.
