When we first got there they had a happy hour that was going on. The staff was drinking beers during happy hour. At first I thought well maybe their off work until I saw them go behind the counter to check someone else in. The lobby was ok other that the decorations looked like a kindergartner puked inside. Our rooms were mildew stuffy smelling, the beds were hard and one of my coworkers rooms smelled like they just tried to cover up cigarette odor with spray. When we went down for breakfast I couldn't have been more mortified and disgusted at the cold food, runny oatmeal soup and rubber turkey bacon. I was very disappointed and there is no way I'll go back to that specific hotel!

Check in was smooth. The area is very nice and convenient. Lots of restaurants and shops (including Target). The room is rather small. The decor is standard gearing more towards a modern feel. The room is clean and so far the staff has been friendly and welcoming

Cups filling with rain leaking into the room only a few minutes after putting them down

The hotel is situated just off of an access road as soon as you exit the highway, which is super convenient! There are also quite a few restaurants within a few minutes. The hotel was busy but we still found parking for both of our vehicles. The check in process was a breeze. Our room was modern and clean. The beds and pillows were perfect for a good nights rest after a long drive. They have a free continental breakfast which we enjoyed before getting on the road the next morning.

So if you stay in 204 and they are still there. You know what you need to do! Ha! Their customer service was seriously stellar. I love the text response so you don't have to use a phone or go to the front desk. Made checkout and asking for towels a breeze! (By far my favorite feature). We were by the stairs and never heard people go in or out of the stairwell, so that was a huge plus! Breakfast was cute and quaint and (for THE LOVE) I can't remember the lady's name that was working breakfast, but she was hustling, sweet, and very accommodating! Please tell her thank you! What a way to start your morning... to a pleasant person such as her! #BeMyFriend #JustLoveHer! Ok...there is only ONE elevator and it is not user friendly. To maneuver your cart/luggage... whet in and out around a corner with people... it don't work. At all. Just take the stairs, or pleas knock out that wall. It's bad. There only so much #PIVOT you can do! (Friends reference!) Pivot, Dammit! The indoor pool and hot tub are nice! Hot tub is lukewarm tub and needs to be adjusted, and please add a cabinet for towels. We were not aware that there were not towels at the pool, so we looked a little silly. Not yay we minded the silly part, but we did mind freezing our unmentionables off. WiFi is great and walking distance to Target and good eats. Would definitely stay here again!

My husband is meticulous when it comes to planning surprises. He loves taking care of every detail, and he had reserved a room at Angel's Nest along with an additional package for our weekend. Friday morning, the owner contacted him to let him know that we were being upgraded to another room and assured him that the package he purchased would be moved to the upgraded room and everything would be ready for our arrival that evening. We were provided a code to enter the bed and breakfast as well as a code for our room. After having dinner in Weatherford, we arrived that evening. The exterior of the property is beautiful, and initially we were excited about our stay. When we reached our assigned room, however, the keypad would not light up and the door was locked. After several attempts, we called the owner. She gave us the location of a hidden key and instructed us to use it to enter the room. When we opened the door, another couple was already occupying our room. They had unpacked their belongings, eaten most of the chocolate-covered strawberries that were part of our package, opened and drank our champagne, and were in the private hot tub engaged in intimate activity. We immediately closed and locked the door and reported what had happened while still on the phone with the owner. What happened next was even more concerning. We were instructed to go down the hallway to Room 2 because we were told no one was staying there and that we could use that room instead. We followed those instructions, opened the door, and walked in on another couple in bed. At this point, we had now been given access to two occupied guest rooms. We later learned that these guests apparently had canceled reservations and were no longer supposed to have access to these rooms. That raised an even larger concern for us: How were people who were no longer assigned to these rooms still able to access and occupy them? More importantly, if we stayed, what assurance did we have that someone else could not be given access to our room and walk in on us? This became a serious privacy, safety, and security concern, not simply an inconvenience or a reservation mix-up. What was also extremely disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. The owner never came downstairs while we were there to personally address what was happening, determine why unauthorized guests were occupying two rooms, or provide us with reassurance regarding the security of the property. After taking some time to process everything that had happened, we made the decision to leave. We simply did not feel safe or comfortable staying there. We also felt dismissed rather than genuinely accommodated. My husband had carefully planned this weekend, and that very morning had been personally contacted about our upgraded room. We arrived expecting the room and package that had been promised to us. Instead, we walked in and watched another couple consuming the chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne that he had purchased for us while occupying the private hot tub we had been looking forward to enjoying. We were then directed to another room, only to walk in on another couple in bed. Beyond the disappointment of losing what was supposed to be a special experience, the lack of apparent safety and security protocols was deeply troubling. Our concern is not simply that someone was accidentally placed in the wrong room. Two separate rooms that we were specifically instructed to enter were already occupied. That should never happen at any lodging establishment. Guests deserve to know that when they close and lock their bedroom door, another guest will not be provided a code, key, or instruction that allows them to enter. Unfortunately, we left feeling that more concern was shown toward the individuals occupying rooms they were reportedly no longer authorized to use than toward us--the paying guests who had actually reserved the accommodations. As first-time guests, we expected hospitality, communication, accountability, and most importantly, a reasonable level of privacy and security. Instead, what was supposed to be a thoughtfully planned weekend ended before it ever began. The property itself is beautiful, but based on our experience, significant improvements need to be made regarding room access, canceled reservations, guest privacy, security procedures, and how serious incidents are handled.

We were not informed of this when I booked the stay. The room smelled like a musty damp basement. I have health issues and I'm on oxygen and with the condition of the hotel we decided that we couldn't stay there. The clerk was just a go between for the manager who was at first unwilling to refund our stay. After a lengthy discussion the manager finally agreed to refund the charge. The manager, an unpleasant older woman with black hair and glasses, charged me for my service animal after I told her she was a service dog. She refused to fix it, I had to file a complaint with the DOJ and contact corporate to have it fixed. I'm clearly disabled too... I have a big scar up my head, and informed her that I was disabled. She was mad at me, and did it out of spite. I booked several nights, with the intent of working from the hotel. The Wi-Fi did not function though. The signal was so weak you couldn't stay connected. They told me if I wanted to use it. I'd need to sit in the hallway to get a better signal. (that also didn't work.) I got a better signal from the hotel across the street than from this hotel. I had to immediately book a hotel elsewhere so I could work in the morning, and when I demanded a refund, she told me no, and that it wasn't their fault. It was that the Internet service provider was down. I had to explain to her that the wifi signal strength isn't tied to the internet being up or down. The two things are not dependent on each other in that way. You can have no internet service and a strong wifi signal, and you can have a strong Internet service with poor or no Wi-Fi signal strength. They are two separate things. You can literally have Internet service without Wi-Fi at all. It's called ethernet. She had no response to that, so instead, she kicked me out of the hotel and banned me for life. I left immediately, as I should, and a few minutes after leaving, she charged my credit card a fee for my service Animal. This was done out of spite. My card had already been charged for my wife's pets. So everything was already done. She went out of her way to go back into my record and add an additional fee, charging it to my card without my permission. Not only did she unlawfully, knowingly charge me for my service Animal, she did so by fraudulently using my credit card details without my permission. No, I don't wanna just complain without offering some kind of constructive feedback. So what I would suggest is you sit this person down and teach her how wifi works, teach her the legalities around the ADA and credit card fraud, and then put her on probation.

I came into the lobby not thinking this will be a great place to spend the evening but checked out the following morning feeling surprisingly impressed! Despite being a budget hotel off an Interstate exit, this small facility was well-maintained with a clean parking lot. Checking in was simple, the staff was friendly, and this appears to be a family-run operation. My room was located on the second floor. There is no elevator at this EconoLodge so a person having difficulty using stairs may want to request a room on the first floor. The room exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness and upkeep of furniture: While the furnishings are simple, they were well-maintained and in excellent condition. The HVAC is quiet and efficient, the WiFi worked as expected, and the water pressure was excellent. I had a great shower and good rest. My only irk was that there was still no breakfast service at this facility, citing the Pandemic. While I would cite a service deficiency "under the cover of COVID-19" if this was one of Choice Hotel's more upscale brands, I did not expect a breakfast at this EconoLodge. However, there is a coffee set up in the morning which met my expectations, and a Dunkin' Donuts across the street. Overall, this EconoLodge exceeded my expectations: It was a clean, well-maintained facility with friendly staff. I will certainly come back if I ever need to spend the night in the area again!

Unfortunately, the smell of cigarettes is noticeable, even in the non-smoking rooms. When I walked in to my room, I got a whiff of cigarettes. And, in the bathroom, there was a burn mark in the vinyl flooring in the bathroom. However, the next morning, the hallway reeked of it. The room has a microwave and mini-fridge. For me, the padded chair at the writing desk, wasn't padded enough. Thank goodness for the Royal Purple Seat Cushion. The bed was comfortable. And, the lounge chair is deep. So, be prepared to struggle a bit to get out of it. While the bathroom was clean, there was a bit of mold, and missing caulking in the tub and shower. The WiFi is free, but unsecured. So, between the smell of cigarettes, and the unsecured WiFi, I can't give the place better than 3 Stars. Breakfast is a true Continental one. Ceral, fruit, muffins, bread, milk and coffee. However, this type of breakfast doesn't hold me for long. So, I grabbed a Banana Nut Muffin (very good) for a snack (somewhat messy) later.

The manager, Jacky, told me "the third party portal we use will not allow me to change the dates", when in reality he declined my request on his end and lied to me about it. As soon as I walked in it smelled like old cheap cigarettes. The whole lobby and first floor wreaked of it. The hallways smell like a mix of body odor, cigarettes and mildew. They had the sheets pulled off in our room still so I had a lovely view of the mystery stains all over the mattress protector. The elevator button was taped on, at this point I was running out of this place. This was my worst fear when booking somewhere new. I don't stay in hotels very often, but I especially didn't feel comfortable staying at this one. I was extremely polite and apologetic when I talked to the front desk lady, I told her how the hotel was completely different from what I expected from the pictures and how I didn't feel comfortable. She immediately got defensive and said "what because they changed the color scheme?" And then rolled her eyes and shook her head. She also snapped back at me with "I can assure you we're the only hotel in this area that changes the sheets after every guest". I told her I was not trying to insult this place, I just didn't feel comfortable. They then DECLINED my request for a refund. Please don't waste your time or money here.
