Also a lot of paint was chipping in the bathroom and the tv cords seemed to be very exposed unsafely. The breakfast was delicious though, recommend the quiche and the freshly squeezed orange juice was perfect addition. The good thing was soon as i brought up my he dirty bathroom they came in when we went to dinner to clean it.

I called and they help me pick out a room and two weeks later I arrived. I was greeted at the door and shown to my room and welcomed and felt at home. There was fresh sugar cookies and a bottle of wine complementary to their guests. Julie recommended a restaurant on the Square and it was a short 10 minute walk on a pathway to the Square which was a beautiful scenic walk. We found the restaurant Christina's and had a delicious wonderful meal. We sat in the porch and enjoyed the squirrels playing in the trees. Breakfast was at 9:00 am and we visited with 3 other couples. It was a delightful time. The new owners are doing an amazing job. Come check them out.

When initially booking, submitted a form to the website and never got a response until calling. When trying to cancel and see if the credit could be applied to another time, called multiple times without response and then received an e-mail finally saying that our stay was cancelled and the 50% deposit would not be refunded. Then, asked if we could apply to another day, and received another terse email back. So- don't book here if you're looking for flexibility and responsiveness. I'm disappointed that a place that bills itself as small and friendly was so terse and uncooperative. But I'm sure the stay itself could have been nice.

There are new antiques every time I visit, some of which were donated by descendants of the original home owners. The house is always decked out, but it is especially fun to see during the holidays. You can tell a lot of thought, time and money went into restoring this magnificent 7,000 square foot home to its former grandeur. It's the perfect spot for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready. They decorated beautifully and the hors d'oeuvres they had at the reception were delicious.
