Blake handled the maze of permitting. If you've dealt with solar permitting in California you know what a mess it is. State, county, city, and fire department all with their own rules. Blake stayed on top of all of it so I didn't have to. Joel made sure the job site ran smoothly. The crew deserves real recognition: electricians Adrian, Ivan, Salvador, and Christian; roof lead Arni; installers Jose, Gabriel, Kieren, Israel, Erik, and Robert; and Deyvis helping with inspection. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything clean, and answered my endless questions without ever making me feel like I was in the way. Construction always has bumps. Permits get revised, inspectors want changes. What mattered was how Infinity handled it. Calmly, professionally, and without disappearing. Tim must be a good boss and take care of his people because this is a crew of highly skilled workers who take real pride in what they do. The day the system went live felt like a turning point. Our first outage was December 23rd while setting up for a Christmas party. Power was out over eight hours. The lights never flickered. I only knew because the app alerted me. She offered a free panel cleaning, which she set up internally and had their team come out this past Friday without issue. Since the cleaning the panels have been much better performing especially after these past few weeks of misting and rain, about 25% higher output. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. I feel that they do want to stand out from the crowd and responding proactively to feedback gives me more confidence they'll take care of issues as they hear about them.

The contract clearly says service calls and repairs will be handled at no charge. After Barnes was sold, bought by "LA Solar Group", two of my Enphase inverters failed. The manufacturer provided the replacement part, with the help of "LA solar Group", but the new company "LA Solar Group" refused to cover the labor, even though my contract says otherwise. They told me they would not grant "Barnes Solar, Inc." warranties and labor wasn't included -- which is simply false. A cost of $650.- for the visit. This leaves customers like me stuck with bills for repairs that should be covered for decades. It seems the new company "La Solar Group" took over Barnes's customers but not the warranty obligations. If you bought from Barnes Solar, know that your 25-year warranty may not actually be honored. I'll be possibly filing complaints with the CSLB and considering small claims to enforce my rights.
