I enjoy this YMCA, the facilities are clean, and most of the people are pretty friendly.

My bf has been a member for many many years before this owners and had nothing but amazing feedback…read moreabout it , I have a lot of friends that used to go there. Gym is about 5 mins away from my house and I decided to join. I just found out they are canceling my membership because my bf got in argument with a man over equipment. And I had nothing to do with , matter of fact I was in a different part of the gym minding my business. Man that took his spot was super rude ,instead of saying that he is still using equipment he acted entitled and sat on top of it before letting my bf know he was still using it. He was working out on 2 diff.machines far from each other Obviously someone will take your spot if you're not there and all you got to do is ask. Since it turned out into verbal argument his brother was there too and my bf came up to his brother to apologize and explain the situation of why he was mad. To which his brother cut him off and said " I don't give a fucking fuck , you know what, Fuck you! " Owner Curt calls my bf a day later and tells my bf it's all good as long as there is no further arguments he is ok , and to stay away from each other he just wanted to reach out and hear his part of the story . Today he gets a call with a voicemail saying his and my memberships are canceled. what a joke of a place Anyway since I'm not envolved in argument I will say this Water filter has been out ever since I've joined It's actually against regulations and makes you sick if you drink it. Bathrooms are disgusting ,especially men bathroom my bf kept bringing it up it smells like urine badly and he sent me pics of urine on the floors They just shake it off 0 care for people that actually care I mean look at the replies to previous reviews Someone is leaving a feedback and yall say " are you even a member here" To reply to that review bathrooms are still nasty. And my friends all quit this gym

This gym killed it!…read more I stopped in today for the first time and I was blown away. I frequently switch up gyms, so I've been exposed to many, many gyms in the tri-state. This one sticks out among the best! We are actually considering making the 35 minutes drive (each way) to make this our new home gym. Outdoor area Tons of unique equipment Killer smoothie bar

Playing lots of tennis growing up, I played in a lot of tournaments. One of my favorite clubs to go…read moreto--and not just because of its close location--was Queen City Racquet Club. It's really big, it's very nice, and they just run a great club. The club, which opened in 1971, is now known as the Queen City Racquet & Fitness Club as it added a large fitness center, which includes Nautilus machines, free weights, a cardio room, aerobics, and spinning. Queen City's 13 indoor courts is probably second to none in the area, while it's seven outdoor clay courts is great too. Both the indoor and outdoor courts are often home to many tournaments including national and top regional junior events. In 2003 they added Platform Tennis courts (see photos), which is for the Platform Tennis game that is apparently a mix between tennis and racquetball. Although I've never played, I know people who have, and they enjoyed it. Platform tennis is one of the amenities that sets this club apart from most in the area. Queen City has long had a strong tennis program for both juniors and adults. While many of the top juniors in the area now play at Harper's Point or Five Seasons, Queen City has a history of developing top players and continues to run quality programs (clinics, camps, league play, private instruction) for both juniors and adults. I've played in and watched my older brother in many tournaments at Queen City, and the only real criticism I have is the tinted windows that make it seem dark outside (which of course is an extremely minute detail). The 180,000 square foot club also has indoor courts for racquetball and squash, a gym for basketball and volleyball, and an outdoor heated Olympic size pool. Also inside around the main lobby is a great snack bar/café, rooms for ping pong and pool, and nice locker rooms too. Although there has been lots of competition from Harper's over the years, and recently Five Seasons too, the Queen City Racquet Club continues to run successfully and is a great place for tennis and a lot more.

I wanted to share my experience because there are some ongoing issues that potential clients should…read morebe aware of. One challenge is accessibility. Classes often need to be scheduled weeks in advance just to get a spot, especially if you prefer evening classes. This makes it really difficult to stay consistent if your schedule changes/fluctuates often. Advertised class hours (6 AM-7 PM) are not accurate most of the time, which feels misleading. In the unfortunate event that an instructor cannot make a class, class will be canceled instead of covered. Even if there are instructors available and willing to cover the class. On top of that, instructors seem to be under constant pressure to bring in clients, and their schedules can be reduced if new enrollment is low. This creates a stressful environment that ultimately impacts both staff and clients. Management frequently asks for feedback, but unfortunately, nothing seems to come from it. The same concerns are brought up repeatedly over months with no visible improvements, which is frustrating as a paying client. Monthly memberships are far from cheap. There are also inconsistencies in the overall experience. Morning classes often lack basic support, like having a front desk person available, which raises concerns about both organization and security. Events and giveaways are a nice idea, but they tend to be geared toward evening clients, leaving morning attendees feeling very overlooked. I once hit 100 classes ( a huge milestone) and had to ASK to sign the board instead of being celebrated like evening class clients. While taking a 7AM class lead by management, comments were made like "i don't know why you guys get up this early and workout". Providing negativity rather than acknowledging the commitment and dedication. Instructor turnover is very high, which makes it hard to build relationships or maintain consistency in classes. It's disappointing, but not surprising given how staff appear to be treated. Overall, while the concept and workouts themselves can be great at times the managerment and operational issues make it hard to recommend. Don't waste your money here!

I offered to meet with her for a one on one to discuss this matter and she first agreed but then honored that with terminating my contract a month early and cancelling all my scheduled classes without notice.
