I usually dont write a review until I've completed business. However, I'm making an exception because the attention to detail and attentive-ness of these fine folks is remarkable. I recently accepted a project, from my Grandmother to get her ring repaired. (Read my next review why this was a "project") Well, I took it to Keva around 2:00p,m. today, got the estimate (because they have an onsite Jeweler-like you would expect from a jewlery store). Carla, was not only prompt in welcoming me to the store but was friendly as well. We had a laugh when she asked "Are you wanting it repaired or wanting to sell it?" because in all honesty, I just laid it on the counter and started rambling. Not telling her what I wanted at all. She took it over to Kevin the Jeweler, he took a look at it,came to the counter, introduced himself and explained what needed to be done. "One prong. $xx.xx amount the other three as well, $xx.xx amount" Cleaning, something else and something else included. I cant remember now. And I was on my way to confirm with my Grandmother the service and date the job was expected completed.
I came back 15 minutes later, they had the job. They've actually been in business over 20 years. They had a small shop, over near a Dr. Office park. And moved to Jungle Jims somewhat recently.(There not in the Grocery itself. Their to the right of CiCis pizza. About in the smack dab center of the shopping strip) When you enter the shop, you'll think it's a mall Jeweler. Bright lights, modern/contemporary design. Very professional appearance. Kevin works on the jewelery in the open, but near the corner he's got his work station setup. You can tell he's a perfectionist by how clean the area is.
And they are animal lovers. They've got a German Shepard, that patrols the back of the cases and is friendly without being annoying (licking your face,barking while your trying to talk.
Pros-Attentiveness, prices, explanation of services, cleanliness. Variety of different types/styles of jewelry. (not a ton of one style and only one of something else.) ability to make custom settings on the spot. (see my next review why I'll never go to a shipping house jeweler again), an estimate in under 10 minutes, no pressure sales approach.
Cons- Unless I over looked it, not a big selection of Mens jewelery.

Edit: I got the ring back recently and my Grandmother had an ear to ear smile. I thought the ring was a gift from my Grandpa, it was from her Grandmother. It's at least 65 years old, however after getting it back from Keva, it looked like a brand new ring. When I got it back, Kevin explained what all he had done with the setting, showed where one of the above mentioned prongs needed tightened and made the main diamond shine like a new car on a clear day.
Kevin takes time to chat with His Customers. He wants you to come back, and it shows in His handling and explanation. My ring was a small potatoes job for him, however I felt like I was a priority because of his and Carlas attentiveness and willingness to listen and explain.
